maybe when the price drops, there will be a lot of panic and dumping on an oin will make things worse and I suggest not to panic too and stay patient because there will someday be an increase so stay patient and hold it because it is the best way to keep prices stable

I think about HODL today since morning. I think HODL is more profitable than daytrade instead. So I think I'm going to continue with HODL.

Plus you don't have to stress yourself out of day trading. HOLDing is very simply strategy but yet very effective. Just imagine those early bag holders in 2013-2015 bear market. If they continue to hold on their bitcoins up to the last peak in 2017 then I'm sure they have made a lot of profits then.

Hello,

At the beginning of my investments I made mistakes like lots of newbies in the market. I learned more step by step and saw that I don't have the knowledge and the time to trade. Finally I decided to take more time to look into project and invest on promising one and be patient. It will be more benefit for for me.

I have always believed in holding my bitcoin for as long as possible. Even when the price hit all time high, I did not sell up to twenty percent of my bitcoin. Why would I now sell my bitcoin at this time? The truth is that anyone who can hold his bitcoin will definitely make a gain in the long run.

One thing in the crypto makes me highly motivated and that is the profit in this market is very high but if you luck is with you like if you buy this currency at low price and you sell it when it equals to 400% rise then you can not count your profit and on the other hand risk is also there you can lose your value as well but for me bitcoin holding i think it is good as many of the crypto analysts predicted that bitcoin and crypto market will rise once again so that's why i am waiting for the right time.

actually, I don't have the motivation to hold my assets, it's just that I'm too big to suffer losses. I hope that by holding back I will get my losses.

Personally, I am motivated to hodl - the belief that cryptocurrency is a new stage in the development of money. Anonymous cashless exchange is obviously the future that awaits everyone.

My two main motivations for HOLDing is the expectation of wider adoption of crypto generally and that fact that the same explosion from last year is likely to happen perhaps not immediate but at least in the next couple of years.

People hold beause  they know they earn a good profit if they do it, they are open minded and know the capability of bitcoin. They never  accept issues that will affect them. If you know that your coin has a big future hold it and wait until the time comes it will increase again,

My reason for holding bitcoin is that bitcoin has a value that allows it to increase better. I have a family and from bitcoin I hope to be able to provide income and be able to change the future. And I'm afraid to sell low because it can be a loss for me.

My reason for holding back bitcoin is because the market is below, I will not sell all the coins I have, if I sell now I will experience a big loss, and I will hold it until the market rises again, because I want to get profit instead of loss, but if I need funds for the needs of life I will sell. I hope bitcoin will continue to grow and be legalized throughout the country, because there are several countries that have not legalized bitcoin as a medium of exchange or transaction.

What motivates you to Hodl?

Hodling or more conventionally put, long-term investment has always been a part of financial and commercial investments. And people were quick to identify the potential of profits in cryptocurrency due to the high volatility. And it was accepted it as a digital asset.

being honest I would say this is the main reason why many people like bitcoin, altcoins and ICOs. this capacity that has to propel returns of 2X, 3X and sometimes more than 10X has made many people start buying cryptos in hopes of becoming rich. I once saw a post from a guy who said he bought a few bitcoins and that after years of trade he had managed to get a lot of bitcoins worth $ 400,000. this was unbelievable and there are many people who have made a lot of money with this crypto market.

If you are into bitcoin for the product and not profit, then you would be less interested in the profits and more interested in its increased adoption and application. Then you can view it as national currencies, which have value based on what it can purchase, but bitcoin has more applications as it is built on the blockchain technology.

there are few people who are interested in bitcoin because of the technology, but this is due to the fact that not all people have the same tastes and objectives. just like in everything in life. there are people who love mechanics and there are people who just want to drive their cars without even caring about the mechanics behind the car.

combine trading and hodling.

this is the best strategy, but only if the person has a great knowledge in making trade

What do you hope for the future?
Increased adoption would also be helpful to governments and the citizenry, especially in developing countries, like Nigeria. And we are sure to discover other applications of the blockchain technology

I agree with: " Increased adoption "

What's your biggest fear?

if bitcoin banned in worldwide, that would be my biggest fear

What motivates you to Hodl?
I have to admit, In a not too good market situation, I think, It's too risky to "trade" actively, that's the reason I do HODL. Besides, Also, I think, it is too risky not to be part of the future cryptocurrency revolution that I believe it will happen.

What do you hope for the future?
Well, I expect Bitcoin to be widely accepted. However, Before going far into the future, I hope Bitcoin can have a lot of support and can overcome the biggest obstacles. From scalability to government regulations, Bitcoin needs a lot of support and work to be completed to be widely accepted in the future.

What's your biggest fear?
After knowing what can do by Bitcoin and Blockchain, this is a system that has made me personally feel comfortable, free, and more private. and as you say, centralization is something I fear.

The motivation of HODL, probably and mainly for making some decent profit. Short-term holding because of the sudden transaction need. Holding a coin for the long term will surely help gain a good amount of return, but only if the coin has good potential and good future. No matter what blockchain is the future and good coins will be rewarding.

I'm into making profit short-term so the pump and dump of a coins' price would not just make me think twice or thrice but many times whether I hodl it or not for a period of time.
If you think a coin/token has a big future, better hodl it for years no matter the price goes up or down.

At first, I wanna say, you wrote well, A big thanks for that! Bitcoin passed more than 9 years and after few days, 10 Years will fulfill! If you look through back then you will see how hold works for the believers and investors. Who believed in bitcoin and bought and then held for a long time, they made a huge amount of money! Many investors are now big whales! This is the best motivation for me to hodl bitcoin and cryptocurrency!

I believe the reason why many cryptocurrencies trader cant HOLD for a long-term is because their perspective about cryptocurrencies to get a rich quick scheme (The inexperienced traders). We need to change our perspective first, just because cryptocurrencies have a high volatility doesn't mean it will make us rich (high risk = high reward).
If our perspective has been changed then we need to work on our trading emotion to make it easier for a long-term trade.

Hold is the best way for the current situation because if I sell it I loss. My motivation to date is the market situation that is still unstable today, so it's better to hold bitcoin so that I can benefit when bitcoin rises because I believe Bitcoin can rise again after its fall like last year.
