what motivates me to become a holder is that I don't have to look at market prices all the time like most traders.
because I fully believe in bitcoin technology that cannot be managed by anyone and will improve every year.
and the fact is that every year bitcoin is always increasing and hopefully this year is the same as the previous year.

What motivates you to Hodl?
What do you hope for the future?
What's your biggest fear?
In my opinion, the thing that motivates me to hold because I strongly believe that bitcoin will become a world currency, also we don't need bank anymore which always charge me every month to pay the fee, even if I never do any transaction in the month. I hope that bitcoin will become a world currency, so we don't need Money changer anymore. We can do traveling around the world with only bring one kind of currency.

currently the price of altcoin and bitcoin is very down, more than 50 percent of the price decline from December 2017. And now there are a lot of big selling actions that make the total supply of all crypto cannot be controlled and there are very few crypto requests. thus, making crypto prices worse in recent months. if I do not hold my assets, then I will experience a big loss and will make crypto prices worse.
That amount of losses can bring you to keep holding and stay motivated that price will rise back again, we don't have any concrete ideas when will the market will be healthy again, currently we are still seeing downfall though some little increase are now being felt with some alts and bitcoin itself, if you don't want to lose your money you need to keep holding and inspire yourself that in the near future it will bring good outcome.

Indeed right now I have hold some coin and my decision it will be run when market situation back to back.we know that now Cryptocurrency market situation very bad down down and down.so we have need to take time hold and wait until market going up.
what keeps me going with bitcoin is to get big profits. Price movements make me more fond of bitcoin because it can provide price advantages can rise and fall so buy when rising and selling when prices are high. as long as bitcoin still gives me an advantage I will still be with bitcoin.

The one that motives me to hold is the potential of bitcoin growth in the future, bitcoin just started to growth and its already create a huge attention, and there are so much potential that still hidden, I do hope in the future there will be huge adoption where every countries adopting bitcoin and we could spend it everywhere, my biggest fear is there are some users that will keep on using crypto for bad things and the government will ban crypto

Of course, my greatest motivation is to earn more. But of course I know that you need to be patient and I know that. So if you want to earn more, you need a HODL motivation.

In a few months, it would be ten years since the first transaction was made on the bitcoin blockchain by Satoshi Nakamoto (whoever he, she or they are). A decade down the road, bitcoin has grown in many aspects, adoption, value, circulation. And with just a couple of bitcoin yet to be mined, we are entering a new phase. And we might only have a few of the early adopters left in the bitcoin space, some bought a couple of pizzas and some cashed out during the series of pumps we have had over the years, some also panic sold during dumps.

What motivates you to Hodl?

Hodling or more conventionally put, long-term investment has always been a part of financial and commercial investments. And people were quick to identify the potential of profits in cryptocurrency due to the high volatility. And it was accepted it as a digital asset.

Hodling in such a space which is prone to wide sudden fluctuations is easier said than done. The emotional strain. One of my biggest motivation to Hodl is recognizing that bitcoin is not a pump and dump scheme, this for me is the most important motivation to hold. And you would be less bothered by intermittent value drops and rises.

If you are into bitcoin for the product and not profit, then you would be less interested in the profits and more interested in its increased adoption and application. Then you can view it as national currencies, which have value based on what it can purchase, but bitcoin has more applications as it is built on the blockchain technology.

Some can stay away from active participation, and it is possible to combine trading and hodling.

- A trader can also be a hodler. You have to set out your priorities and set aside a portion of your capital. If you're trading the same currency, (eg bitcoin), it would help to have a seperate wallet where you store you frozen assets and those available for trade.

Of course you should have disciplined yourself and learnt how to control your emotions and whims, otherwise you can't Hodl successfully.

What do you hope for the future?

This currency still has a long way to go, and of course we all look forward to a day where bitcoin would be an accepted global currency, that can be used to make purchases both online and offline. I lean more to online, as the world is going digital.

Increased adoption would also be helpful to governments and the citizenry, especially in developing countries, like Nigeria. And we are sure to discover other applications of the blockchain technology, as the qualities of transparency and decentralizatiom would be invaluable in those states.

What's your biggest fear?

Centralization. Bitcoin was created to be an alternative to the conventional banking sector. And to give it's users freedom and control, complete control. I fear a day where we would Los that control to governments and banks.
And I don't think global regulation is imperative for mass adoption.
The system was well designed to function without any control or supervision. And it's users need not to trust any human factor but the technology, the bitcoin technology.

My motivation to hold coins is to buy myself a great gaming PC, and to invest in other cheap and good altcoins for the future as well. Right now, I am hoping that everything is going to be good in the future and cryptocurrency will continue to evolve and be acknowledge by a lot of people. My biggest fear is centralization as well. As a person who uses cryptocurrency, I don't want any form of government be involved in regulating bitcoin. It will be good that there will be no such things like taxation of cryptocurrency.

My motivation is that I believe Bitcoin will go much further than it has already done. It is very often difficult as there are always rumours and negativity saying Bitcoin will die. I am trying to ignore all that and concentrate on how the future of Bitcoin will shape up.

When someone comes to invest in cryptocurrency in a hie, I mean he came without the slightest knowledge about cryptocurrency, I guess they were people who gave a big contribution to drastic price reductions. They only look at prices, not based on the potential and function of cryptocurrency in the future.

Hold for long term, I like this part. Actually, investing or trading in cryptocurrency is nothing wrong (might just for me) when I was trading and I found a loss I didn't sold my assets, I mean when I late sold when I trade and I have found a loss then I just let things it happened and I just change the strategy from trading to investing.

Going by some statistical analysis and predictions bitcoin will be a scarce digital currency when its almost completely mined of course this will have a significant impact on its price probably on a higher note and its on record that there are a lot of hodlers obviously waiting to cash out on a new ATH thus this is what motivated me in HODLing bitcoin.

only some people can hold, for example the Cameron brothers, who hold bitcoin from 2012, and today he became very rich.

I agree with your topic, but what really matters for me is that limited supply of bitcoin and huge public demand will create bitcoin to the moon.

for that reason, I am always optimistic, and in my opinion, there is no late sentences before bitcoin reaches the maximum number.
Limited stock and users who continue to grow every day. making bitcoin very special, because a very significant price reduction makes some people have doubts about the growth of bitcoin, but I think this is a good start for us to start accumulating bitcoin. because I also believe that the future of bitcoin will be very expensive

Definitely,  I usually check in the current market and base on what I had observed that there is a great potential growth on the coin that i happen to invest. Hodling is a very effective way to prevent from losing much on your investment and when market goes up trend, sell your coin.

Its a much worse feeling to miss out on a huge bull run than it is to take a loff on an investment , at least for me.  Fear of missing out is STRONG.

Holdling is a very good thing to do if and only if the coin you are holdling will shoot up some time to come. In fact, I have been a victim of selling my coin which was worth holdling for some time. All things being equal, if no circumstance will force you to sell and you see that the coin you are in possession is worth holdling, I think you should hold for long time.
