Now that we are down to 4 teams I didn't expect any of these teams to be left lol.  So if I had to pick I'd say it will be golden state versus Boston, with golden state dominating the series.  Don't like golden state, but I thought Memphis was the best team in the field and GS took care of them.
Surprised me too. I didn't expect the Mavs to be in the Conference Finals or maybe even the Finals if they can defeat the Warriors.
I am happy they took care of the Jazz because that team really sucked in the playoffs just like last year. But defeating the Phoenix Suns? That's some feat they showed there and I bet they are all full of confidence now which is good.
It will be a difficult road though from hereon as they will be up against an experienced team who made it to the Finals many times and they are hungry again.

The Warriors may become the champion again.

If I'm being honest I had the mavs counted out first round, I thought they matched up oddly against the Jazz.  This feels kinda like the year they won ot with Dirk.  Wasn't buying in until they just kept rolling in the playoffs.  Don't get to see Luka day to day so it's been a pleasure watching the dude Ball out.  He's different

The Suns as the favorite to become the champion this season is not going to happened obviously as they have lost to a great Mavs team who defeated them in their own back yard. CP3 again falling short after a good regular season run and winning 60+, a franchise record. It just to happened that they have to one of the best player in this series in Luka Doncic.

The favorite now is Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics.

After the performances of Boston Celtics and of Dallas Mavericks in their 7 games series which they prevailed, they are one of the contenders now in my opinion. They were not so before. Especially Dallas played surprisingly well and balanced against the strong Phoenix Suns, I was quite surprised. I thought Phoenix Suns were on their way to the title actually. At this stage, all teams are playing so greatly and we would not be surprised if any of them gets the title. Miami Heat was doing great in 2020 except the final series, I am expecting more from them this time. Especially Tyler Herro is much better and he should play solid if he wants to be one of the greatest players. But they have tough competition in the west.
Sharing your comment...

I confess... I was surprised with the victory of the Celtics and Mavericks.
I had strong indications, the Suns and Bucks will win, but they didn't!

Unfortunately in the game 7, the Suns performed poorly, it was unrecognizable! The Bucks was same thing... 3point shoot 12.1%, against 40% of the Celtics.
That was incredible!

The game between Warriors vs Mavericks will be VERY interesting... let's see what these conference finals awaits us!

Yup, you're definitely right about that mate! Honestly though, I'm really seeing that they could upset the Goldenstate Warriors on this series because if they can exhaust the Phoenix Suns just like that after having a 0-2 run then they really have some chance to upset another favorite team this season.

Luka's average PPG in playoffs are off the charts already and that ain't easy to achieve. His consistency will indeed pay off this time with of course some help of his team.

Who knows, right? We will only conclude this series after we watch the games, but with how Mavs eliminates the Suns the chance is possible to repeat that and win the west finals, still early though and knowing that they will be facing a complete set of skills and talents a team who also have capabilities of turning things in favor on them.

I'm expecting to see another do-or-die series if Luka will have the same support from his team not only with their offense but mostly

on their defense,.
Now that Luka has succeeded in turning down Suns, i guess he will still be consistent and focus more with the help of his team on how to shut down Warriors this time. However, Warriors on the other hand is also preparing for this as they have witnessed how the Mavs overwhelmed and dominated the Phoenix Suns. Whatever the result in the end, whoever will be held as the champion, that team is certainly the best among the rest, though all teams in this season are definitely exceptionally skilled.

The logic here is, Suns is the best team in the regular season, so if Dallas would beat them in game 7, Dallas has a decent chance of winning the championship. So that odds is quite a gift for me considering the chances Dallas had in this playoffs.

I think I have managed to get around @100 odds now for the Dallas Mavericks to win the championship. That was way back before the playoffs and 0-1 against the Utah Jazz. Since I have a bet on them no choice but to support them. Who knows they can upset the Number 1 Phoenix Suns and that is possible. I hope so - cross-finger.

If I lose then just move forward. Simple as that. And prepare for another betting in the Conference Finals.

Yeah right, it's a support and we never know if that lucky guess will win or not. If you lose that bet, there are still many available options that you can pick till the last game of this season. Game 7 is coming and who knows maybe upset may happen and your pick will move forward for another series before the finals.

Luka needs more from his team, those supporting help will be very important. They need to work together and try all the best that
they can to move to the conference final.

No more big expectation with that kind of odds though, but of course, Dallas is not a bad team, if they will upset the Suns, they'll be heading in the WCF and they could possibly upset the Warriors as well. There journey could be the same when Dirk and his tema won a championship way back.

Look at this :

Dallas Mavericks Odds at NBA Championship in 2011: 18 to 1

I'm hoping it will happen again as Luka is still underrated despite being able to show how great he is as an NBA player. Of all the players in this series match, only Luka was able to show consistency, so we can already count on him that he will deliver in game 7, now it's up to his teammates if they will do their job effectively.

Anyways, do you guys notice that the remaining teams in the second round are ranked 1st to 4th in both conference in the regular season Grin

It was actually reported before the second round of the playoffs start. Smiley All teams from 1st to 4th are advanced to the semis in both Eastern and Western Conference. No upset happened between them against the lowered tier teams. It just means that, these 4 teams at both conference deserves their respecting spot. Dallas Mavericks seems to be the only team in the remaining 4 who has the big odds on winning the championship.

The odds are attractive and seems possible to happened but Suns are really monster in their homecourt.

Well, we certainly cannot deny that we expected them to be eliminated somewhere in Game 4 because of that standing but the Luka proved that their team is ready in these kind of situations and that they are willing to adjust well even if it means defeating the heaviest team this season.

I'm excited to see what the Mavericks can do in game 7, hopefully we will not the see the same scenario that happened in the last 3 games at the Suns homecourt because all of them are a blowout loss of the Mavericks.

Luka is an exceptional player, however, he alone cannot win the game 7, so everyone on the roster has to step up as the Suns are certainly making sure they'll try to protect their home and advance in the WCF.

Maybe, we can see a repeat this time as we don't know for sure who will move to the next round, will it be the Suns or Mavericks? We'll see if the Mavericks can force a game 7.

I clearly see the patch is easy for the Mavericks, they have their play clicking on their home court, so I'm expecting they'll shoot better compared to the Suns. While game 5 is a clear dominant win by the Suns but Dallas will take their revenge and take the series to the last game on the road.
The series is now tied as the Mavericks have won on the Game 6 (113-86), they limited the gameplay of the Suns and dominated them each quarter so that they can't get a good rally and chase the lead. Luka as always makes the lead contributing 33 points while also grabbing 11 rebounds, they buried the Suns with almost 30 points. Now that they have forced their way on Game 7, this makes things more interesting to see if they can still end the series in their possession while playing on Phoenix.

They are in a tough situation once they are on the road, but game 7 is game 7, they need to play harder to achieve a better result, and that is the W. Luka would make a headline if they upset the number 1 team this season, and we all know they are capable, so trusting them to beat the Suns is surely not a problem. What I like about the Mavericks is that they are a healthy team now, Luka is killing the Suns, some players from Mavericks just need to stepped up because this is the last game.

It's hard to imagine Dallas will be in the NBA Finals. Not saying it's not gonna happen, but people does not expect that.

I also admit that I'm not expecting that the Dallas Mavericks will somehow make it on the NBA Finals or at least make the team participate on the semis round. What makes me surprise is that how the Luka and the whole Mavericks roster managed to adjust and play this much impressive after having a 2-0 run in the 2nd round.

Well, we certainly cannot deny that we expected them to be eliminated somewhere in Game 4 because of that standing but the Luka proved that their team is ready in these kind of situations and that they are willing to adjust well even if it means defeating the heaviest team this season.

Here is the updated odds after GSW won the series.

I am more tempted to bet on Miami and Boston.

Maybe just wait for the game 7 result, it's still not sure that Boston will advance in the ECF.

If you like to bet, then maybe Miami would be a good bet, however, if Boston will make it in the ECF, I think they are the better team compared to the Heat.

Dallas @25, that's very attractive.

That's the surprise this season. LOL.

Bookies does not also believe it will happen that's why the odds for Dallas to win the championship is very high.
As per - https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/basketball/usa/nba/nba-21-22-60f9572f41ddce1ac040cdfa.. Dallas is x21 to win the championship, Memphis is the biggest though with x51.

Honestly worth a bet.

Dallas blew out the Suns yesterday with a full squad and Luka seems to be on a mission. Not saying that they will win the championship but I think that in terms of expected value this is a great bet.

The Grizzlies are still too young to make noise in my opinion though, but again, the odds are very attractive.

I think it'll be very very hard for Memphis to win the championship since they do not have playoffs experience and there is also no Ja Morant. Even if they win their series against GSW, there's still Phoenix or Dallas and the very strong teams in the East. I hope Dallas Mavericks beats Phoenix in their deciding game. I got annoyed by Booker's antics especially on Luka.

Here is the updated odds after GSW won the series.
