At this juncture, if I will put my bet and choose my champion for this season I'll prefer the nets team even though they are not in number 1 in the playoffs but still believe that they can win and claim the trophy. All their star player helped each other to push the game into victory and that's why I choose them. I will risk my money to bet this team even loss or a win still happy 😂.

Brooklyn Nets is a decent team with no doubt a powerful duo who's also an experienced players in the playoffs and both holds a championship title in the past. They also contributes big scores to bring a win to the team, it is just that they really lack and vulnerable in their defense. I'm not saying they cannot be a candidate this season because they still have a chance and probably can work things out with Ben Simmons.

Maybe before which they didn't get Simmons,Seth and Drummond to their team, but now they are different we can already say that they are now a title contender team which other needs to prepare. But if they get messed on playoffs and they didn't work with their system set on their team then maybe we cannot see them take forward into the finals.

They need consistency so that they can achieve what they are aiming this season.

Their Nets roster now is much more capable in defeating and dominating a much more heavier teams in both conference with Ben Simmons playing on the court and doing his thing, but that's still an if for now as he's still trying to straighten his path and he still have his back injury that I don't why he acquired or have that.

As of now, they are on a winning streak for 3 consecutive games and will probably win again in their last game of the regular season against the Pacers.

My take here is to whoever has the most playoff experience, the young guns like Ja Morant, Doncic, etc. definitely has what it takes to get a spot in the finals.

But the Suns have been consistent since CP3 got there, last year was full of surprises and now they have solidified their spot, I'm a big Warriors fan but if Curry can't compete in the playoffs (because of his injury) then I'd definitely go with Suns, DBook and CP3 had a great playoff run last year and an excellent run this season, the team chemistry is there as Bridges and their other teammates have been consistent as well.
Definitely agree with the first statement. Which is why I think bucks in the east and clippers in the west. With the return of leonard in addition to pg and the rest of the clippers, with less pressure on their shoulders. Suns and nuggets are obvious favourites, just don't feel they will get the job done. In the east is the same, nets, I dunno i think the bucks have a deeper team and the reigning champ has showed his dominance in the regular season and more respect needs to be put on his name. He is no longer a liability shooting which is key in the playoffs. I also see the sixers beating the nets, Joel is a monster and although harden has been a liability and is "washed" compared to Irving, with the process continuing i could see them making a deep run. Anyways Lakers are out so what will all the sports jounos be talking about ha.

Well, to be honest it's pretty tough in choosing a team that most likely to win the championship this playoffs.
The Suns will be the most favourite to win here, but the Warriors can beat them in a seven game series, even the Memphis could actually beat them.
While on the other hand, I heavily favour the Nets to win it all IF they remain fully healthy for the rest of the playoffs.
I'd really like to bet on thet Nets here, but I don't I feel like KD or Kyrie is most susceptible in injuries during the playoffs lol.
It may seem ironic what I'm going to say, but I think it's easier for the Nets or Lakers to reach the conference finals or even the NBA Finals than it is for them to qualify for the playoffs by getting some of the last spots. (of course if no player to get injured)

Playoff games are totally different from the regular season, Durant, Irving, Westbrook, LeBron, AD among others are experienced players and they know how to handle games during playoffs (especially LeBron James).
Even though the Lakers and Nets have totally underperformed expectations, they are powerful teams and we cannot underestimate them.

That's what LeBron thought too, and I totally understand that.
Unfortunately, the Lakers just didn't make it to the play-in. If they made it somehow, they will take a shot from there since AD just came back to play, and just like you said a 7 game series is totally different than the regular season games.
Now, we have the Nets entering the play-in and the higher chance in taking the 7th spot that could lead them to possibly play against the Bucks in the 1st round, and that is going to create a championship-like atmosphere.  Something the fans would love to see.

Even if they made it on play in still they struggle because their morale is so low and they don't have any guys who can give them some good boost especially they are now blaming each other once they lose. Their chemistry are so waster already that's why they need to move some of their rooster so that they can find more good role players which can give them better output every game they play.

Suns do look like the team to win it all this year, and they do look like they deserve it as well. However, we need to remember that finals is not something that everyone gets to feel that frequently, it is a rare thing and sometimes finals could make players play not so well at all. This means that Suns could look great, but then when the finals comes in, they may lack that "winner" gene and lose as well.

Bucks didn't go to finals ever before as well (not this bucks at least) and still Giannis played winner games and got it. So, I have to say it shouldn't really be that shocking if Suns end up losing once again, but I hope they won't, and win it all.

I do hope that Suns will win it as this team is working like no one else for 3 straight years. We saw Jazz trying it for 2 years and it didn't work as they ran out of fuel again but the end of the season. We saw Miami who starts really well everytime but when it comes to play-off , something is odd with them.

Straight talk , only Bucks can have a chance to step Suns for reaching that big final but I doubt they can if Giannis will not be in a super extravagant shape that will put Suns on a back foot. So yea , going with Suns to the end.

Based on the list given i still keep supporting with the Suns even though they change their players still its a good thing to support one of the OG teams in the basketball era, the next is the Warriors, they are just having a hard time these recent games but i guess they can make a good play this upcoming season, I really doubt that Celtics can handle this game because looks like only one player can do the strategy in their team.

I’m my opinion, if the Nets remain healthy I still think that they will end up winning it all (as much as I wish the Chicago Bulls had a legitimate shot at it lol). Now if there’s any chance that the Nets could get Ben Simmons back then watch out to everyone else, I almost think it would be a lock at that point. I think the Suns also have a decent chance, they seem to be pumping on all cylinders.

The Suns got another chance and they will gonna force their way to another championship opportunity this year. As for the Brooklyn Nets, they are now healthy and conditioned to play the intense games in the NBA playoffs. They've been saving their strength to give it all this time and even if they won't win a championship, there will be no regret because they did the best thing they could do for the team. The other teams are excited as well because this was a long game, and ups and down have happened to them, especially the teams that are competing in the play-in tournament, their other foot is still outside the playoff tournament.

There are still many things that can happen, West and East side do have lots of super teams, in the case of Suns the chance is high if they will continue the way they are playing the game, if there're no injuries that will take during the playoffs they can go back to the finals. But for sure, hot teams like Memphis, GSW, Mavs and all those who will fly their way to the next round will compete and try to beat the Suns to represent the WCF for this season's finals.

Talking about the East side, Nets still kicking and the chance still possible, if most of the players will be present and they will complete the possible play-in tournament, though Heat, Sixers and the defending champ Bucks are all waiting and also eager to win.

I never understood the phrase eager to win or the "team wanted it more" you really think these athletes win because they want it more? Nonsense, it's a combination of many things and it is ultimately highlighted in the playoffs. Every play, slowed down, analysed and critiqued. I have seen the bets for the grizzlies which would pay out big time, but really it's wasted money, even with ja back. East, i think the bucks have got this, with the nets being the biggest threat, i think the organisation and the team know how gianis will be defended, but can he? I don't think so. Suns warriors western conference finals, bar injuries this will be tough to call, with a wealth of experience on each side. But with the height advantage I would give it to the sun's. Lakers have a lot of thinking to do this off season.

Grizzlies is a good team that can fight it off in the playoffs, though I will probably not put something bigger than 20 dollars on them due to some inconsistencies here and there. Suns, I will personally bet throughout the playoffs, but for the championship, I'll place my bet on Grizzlies as early as now because man that odds is so hard to pass knowing that the team can also perform very well against the big names.

I believe CP3 should get that ring in order to cement his status as on of the NBA greats, and he's probably too hungry to get that ring too so he'll prolly try hard to get that. Then again, what's wrong with betting with a team that has been giving them quite the headache whenever they face each other? Cheesy

I'm rooting for Warriors on that list since it was announced that Curry may comeback before the playoffs or after a couple of games. Though Suns may have the best efficiency rating in this round especially in the West. As per the observation in the past even good league standing teams can be defeated when playoffs is running, even underdogs tend to surprise the world when it comes to NBA playoffs.
His appearance in playoffs is now in question too base on the latest report and statement coming from GSW spokeperson. Curry is just optimistic that his team mate can beat whoever they fight on the first round. I will choose GSW too even without Curry if Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins will be consistently good on the playoffs because Poole already got cover what Curry doing inside the court. Poole is very underrated player right now of GSW.
Well that was bad news for the Warriors since his impact is huge on the court and his absence would really make some difference on how they play in the regular season. If they head-to-head with Memphis I guess that will be the best matchup considering Brooks has something to say to the Warriors specifically to Igoudala.

I have trust on Poole considering at the start of the season he already made a huge impact with those threes he throws just like what Curry and Thompson type. It's nearing and I anticipate it.
Even if we say Green is there and Klay is in the line up still the presence of Curry will be a huge loss for them. And if Curry cannot able to make it provably we can see them fall on this season again. I have also trust Poole and other of their young potential rooster but I believe their experience is not enough especially the pressure in crucial games is so different.
I tend to agree, the experience in a playoff match is a must and with the basketball IQ of Curry not there to contribute for Warriors, they are bound to fall, just an opinion. Right now only a few players has that experience but can't tell if they are key player or do have more minutes on the court, e.g. Igoudala and Looney though they might contribute some factors to tell the young guns who haven't yet in this phase.

I am rooting for the new era so I think the Bucks will win this with Giannis and his team I really think they can be a back to back NBA champs. However last season many star players are injured and wasn't able to participate in the season. We can see now if Bucks can defeat Warriors, Lakers and Nets.

I know there's a dedicated thread which is the 2022 NBA Season, but this thread's purpose is very specific. The purpose is for me to gain opinion from the posters on which team I should bet that the majority of you here think would win the NBA Finals. Knowing there are experts here, I'm confident I would get the best advice on which I should risk my money to gain value at the current odds.

I'm using sportsbet as the reference of the betting odds.

Here is the list of betting odds.

1- Suns > 3.80
2- Bucks >6.50
3- Nets >7.00
4- Warriors >8.50
5- Celtics >10.00
6. 76ers >10.50
7. Heat >11.00
8. Memphis >17.00

Everyone is welcome to give their opinion. So please post away.

The answer is obvious for me, I am a fan of Steph Curry and that goes for the Warriors, and even they will lose the game, I will still be and will have a respect the team. They got a nice position in terms of odds, so I would love to put a bet on them in the upcoming season of NBA.
