Finals so it's gotta be Celtics or Warriors.

Game 2 soon and the game 1 was full of excitement and hype. This was the first time again more than years ago when I've watched Celtics at the finals.

The rookie in the finals have made their very first momentum and hopefully, they'll make it again but this is GSW. They're known as one of the kings of the finals.
We are seeing a lot of momentum from Celtics this season but things changed when in the finals. Especially that they are competing with the battle tested GSW, i guess the next games will be tougher than ever. The Game 1 was definitely very entertaining, both of the teams are well competitive. I just hope that there will be less serious injuries this time as it could trigger the performance of their star players, which will affect the whole team as well.

So far both teams are preventing any major injuries though they are really pushing things to the limits but the coaches are good in rotating every stars and the rest of their rosters to make sure that they can avoid injuries or too much exhausted players. the series are tied now 1-1 as GSW win the 2nd game not allowing things to happen again the same outcome last game 1.

They manage to keep the distance away in the last minutes of the 3rd quarter and continue that big lead till the rest of the regular time period of the game..

They've shown what they've got and I guess we just have to appreciate what the Celtics have shown. They've played the best basketball game that they've got and yes, this is just the game 1 but the morale that it has given to the Celtics with their current roster, it's a big shot.

Would tend to agree that it's a morale boosting win for the C's. No one has given them a chance at this point, maybe Charles Barkley  Grin. But they've shown why they are in the NBA finals. Not going to lie, I bet on the Warriors on game 1, but it is what is it, as the saying goes.
And game 2 is approaching in the next few hours, what do you think? You'll bet again for the Warriors or do you think it's another game for the Celtics?

Game 2 is critical for Golden State, hey have to response and win by a blow out in the next game. They don't have Tatum to have the confidence to play like that. Because he has a big 13 assists, something that we haven't seen from him. And then scoring 40 points in the 4th quarter? that's huge.
I agree, they have to snatch this game, or else all of the morale and boost will be absorbed by the Celtics, and they probably have made a game plan on how they'll retrieve themselves on game 2.

I think everyone is riding with the Warriors again, but I also believe that some people might be tempted to put an ML bet on the Boston Celtics because they beat the Warriors in game 1 and it's possible that they could do it again.

That's what I thought too until ESPN said Boston Celtics has the higher chance of winning the Finals this year against the Warriors. People became skeptical about it at first until the result of the game 1. Some people will now turn to root for the Celtics after game 1, but for me the Warriors still has a higher chances to win the title, though I've loved to see Tatum and Brown and especially for Horford to win their first ring.
But who knows, If the Celtics win again in game 2, then that would be very difficult situation for the Warriors and the Celtics will most likely to win the title this year.

Game 2 is very crucial for the Warriors, they can't afford to allow the Celtics to dominate them again, because even with just one quarter, anything can change and it will favor the Celtics. 2nd game of defending their home court, I'm expecting a blowout win here.

I definitely don’t think the fourth quarter heroics we saw from Boston will be the norm. I would agree that the Warriors are going to come out and slap them around tonight, but if they did lose here they’d be facing a few games in Boston while being behind in the series. That would be cause for concern. I’m sticking with the warriors for tonight. I think they’ll get their vengeance for last game.
They wouldnt be allowing for it to happen but the question is, would they able to do it again? For sure they wont and thats why i do also see Warriors would be getting this game 2.

We are all hoping for no injuries to happen on the series so that we would able to see a very interesting games throughout to the end without having those handicaps or
disadvantage just because one of their core players had suffered injuries and thats not entertaining at all.  Cool

They do need on having balance in terms of defense yet they cant just box out Tatum or isolate but also in Horford as well. I dont have any doubts that Warriors would be getting the next win of this championship.

Jayson Tatum was well-defended plus the fact that he is not at his best on that night. The problem is the Golden State Warriors just feel relaxed. Try to watch the replay and see how the Warriors are just giving up some Celtics shots with no proper defense. They already assumed that the Celtics won't come from behind.

When Celtics are now narrowing down the lead, it's too late for them now to match the Celtics' momentum that's already at the peak while the Warriors have to start again at the scratch. I know they want to win the championship at the Chase Center but too much relaxation can result in a bitter loss.
Being too confident could really mess up everything but pretty sure that they had raised up their guard on next game yet they had lost that game 1. Celtics should made out some changes too considering that their

playstyle was already known and adjustments would be made on countering that, on whom should be focused to be defended with and whose gonna play on that role.

If they would continue on such behavior then they would really just still repeat on the same outcome of Game 1.

I guess they were not that confident enough because they quite know that this is the finals, they just didn't expect that the Celtics would chase them down and make a serious clutch in the 4th quarter which they haven't also scored for almost 5 minutes while the Celtics were busy shooting deep threes outside. Celtics will really eat them and dominate them if they won't make some true changes in Game 2.
You had precisely said on what happened on that Game
Here's some stats on 3 point succession in between two teams.
GSW - 42.2%
Celtics - 51.2%

It might be small on different percentage but this turns out to be a bad night for Warriors or simply
the defense is just too tight?

The defense of the Celtics in the 4th quarter was good but at the same time, they were also lucky with their 3 point shots.
Here's the 3 point shooting of the top 3 point performances from the Celtics.

Horford 6-8
White 5-8
Smart 4-7

Great numbers right?
And I'll add to that, the Boston Celtics have an 88.6% field-goal percentage in the fourth quarter. Wink

Yes, they got a good defensive strategy and they exactly outsmarted the play of the Warriors, surely none of them expected that they could be defeated after having a good run and owning 3 quarters. The Celtics on the other hand just owned the 4th quarter but that single quarter was the game-changer.

Just the three players with the highest 3-point performance almost covered half of the Warriors total score.

^^ Yes, those outside 3's really did the job for the Celtics. I mean of all the opponents of the Warriors this playoff, no one shots better than the Celtics in last game. So they could be lucky or just the Warriors gives them that opportunity to shot and fortunately, almost all of the shots went it. So the adjustments are now on the side of the Warriors. And the Celtics 'hoping' to have that kind of shooting again. Actually they gave the Mavs this kind of open look, but they were not able to convert it, if I'm not mistaken.

win 2 games as well in the road games. We can't tell what might happen in this upcoming game 2. Maybe Warriors are more prepared and not

to allow things to repeat that worse 4th quarter attack, or there's something that Boston will surprise them and snatch another game from

them.

Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks
June 04, 2022, 11:48:37 AM

We never know, but although I like the Boston Celtics, I still think that the Warriors will take game 2 as this series will be boring if the Warriors their 2 home games. They have plenty of time to watch the tape, with that plenty of time, they can device a plan and make the right adjustment in game 2.

I agree with that, this is a no brainer, Warriors will win and will cover the spread.

Warriors are still the public play, but whatever, I would keep it simple, they need to win to even the series and has to win by a good margin, at least 10 points should be good enough, and they should not allow to melt in the 4th quarter.

Everyone is riding with the Warriors because they "need" to win or else we might see another sweep again like what happened in Cavaliers-Warriors in 2018 Finals. Bettors might risk betting with the Celtics in Moneyline right now, but I don't think the Warriors will just let themselves down 0-2 knowing that the next 2 games will be on the road.

If the Warriors lose again in Game 2, I will not watch the Finals anymore. I mean, down 0-2 would be hard if your next 2 games will be on the road. There are only 5 teams in NBA history who overcome a 0-2 deficit to win the title. You can see all of them here in this article.

It's possible that they can win game 2 again.

But everything is all guess and speculation for the game 2. It's still the same chance that we're getting on this match but the pressure is with the Warriors.

While Celtics, they're determined of winning this as they've got the advantage for thinking because they've won the game 1.

After that loss in game 1, I don't think they will still ride with the Warriors. What if Boston will start strong, they are good in the first half during the Miami Heat series, so they can still do it against the Warriors. Thing is, the pressure is not on them anymore as they already steal one game at home, and it happened in game 1.

No dream is too big and no dreamer is too small
June 04, 2022, 07:56:02 AM
Again, it's only 1 game. And so we will see how the Warriors will adjust on the next game because they played poorly in the last quarter. This is not the typical Warriors that we know, they are a team that knows how to protect their lead, but not in this game. Something is not right and hopefully they can recover their mentally in the next game because they don't want to be 0-2 in this series.
They've shown what they've got and I guess we just have to appreciate what the Celtics have shown. They've played the best basketball game that they've got and yes, this is just the game 1 but the morale that it has given to the Celtics with their current roster, it's a big shot.
I know that Warriors will be able to bounce back and they'll tell and show to everyone who they are and I'm expecting that this is going to be a long games and maybe until game 7.

Celtics are in high morale mode right now and for getting that huge win with Warriors last game one most provably they already see the weakness of this team, their coaching staff is really good in adjustment so I guess we can see more good game from them. But for the fact that Warriors almost dominated that game for sure they adjust on what their mistake on game 1 so for sure we will see a good game 2 on this series.

No, just wait until game 2 is over, if the Warriors still fail to win, then we can say that the Celtics have already found their weakness. I don't want to hype the Celtics or overreact on what happened because the series is still far from over.
