yes when the market is in a bad situation, of course our patience is being tested, and this depends on how we manage our investments correctly. I personally still stick with the market and sometimes change other options with trading. This is an effective way to survive when market conditions are bad.
Divert your attention, I myself also patiently waiting for the right pump, right profits. But the market seems so playful and tricky, the more we wait, the more he dumps. Lol. So there are few things I am diverting my attention to atleast not be tempted to sell at loss. It's either i buy more at bearish moment or trade some coins rather than what I am holding. I am always thinking where did I start and that I know this is the risk of crypto holding to atleast ease the tension of selling and not tempted my patience.

there needs to be spare funds to stay away from worries, so you make smart moves when prices continue to fall we can buy cheaper than before.
My patience has been tested already, and now there's no need of test because it's proven worthy of handling things over. The struggles is real and nothing in need of confirmation on how dedicated I am with the recent market changes. What's important is we knew where is our boundaries for our holdings.

when patience is being tested with lonely market conditions like now I prefer to move my funds to a stable coin. Most likely you are title is true. My patience have been testing mode. I have bought some altcoin those are almost 5X down now. But still I am holding them instead of sell in lose. Likely will never sell them until recover my buy price. For that reason I have taken a break from trading. But what I believe, most of newbies (traders) likely lost their patience and sold their altcoin. And obviously they will be in lose now.
Agree sir, those that are impatient in terms of crypto trading are likely newbies and noobs in terms of trading... Those that are hook on fomo... Instead they will earn, most of it they lose because they put their emotions on their trading... They dnt even think that whatever happens it will still go up... This is how their patience are tested... Sometimes too, I bought on higher price then suddenly the price dumped... What I'm doing is I just set my sell orders then leave it... For me it's stupid , many coins simply can not go even to those levels that were in 2017 , altcoins are very dangerous to keep in a long time , I try to trade , and if the coin starts to fall then go out of it to re-buy lower. what are you doing in this market, is your routine still the same as usual or change other options?

I add new options by trading, when the market is in a bad situation. the option I'm using right now is pretty good. I get daily profit by trading and I still use long-term investment with some potential altcoin
I always experienced this kind of situation as a bounty hunter because not all tokens that you recieve as a reward will give you benefit. You need to wait for more weeks or months for the value of the coins to go up, others are delisted eventually because no one trade it. Patience is always tested so you need to have more extra patience to survive any challenges that lie ahead.
Certainly have a strategy to avoid losses when the coin price situation is declining. Not necessarily those who sell at low prices are said to be a loss. That is still good, rather than coins that are still stored in wallets do not have a market to sell.
