Patience is very essential in all the avenues of crypto. This is greatly because cryptocurrency projects take time to pass through its developmental stages and that is why projects have road maps and as the project crawls gradually through its the road map, it should be capable to near its full potentials.
The only strategy i can smell of is getting rid of your tokens once there is profits on them and wait for price drop to buy again, its a good strategy and yet patience is needed to be success with this strategy
But at what level of profits you want to sell? This may seem like an easy decision to take but there is nothing more painful than to sell your coins when you got a small profit and then see the coin in which you have been invested for a very long time go up many times and you got nothing from that growth. If you want to capture most of the profits a coin can offer then you need to device a system to help you with that because only using your intuition is not going to be enough.
Not all of people who have high patience are becoming successful. Your patience should have combination of a right coin where its value will go up. Your patience will be nothing if you hold shitcoins.
I agree with your opinion about patience does not always make people successful. Other factors need to be supported, such as ways
choose altcoins that have the potential for the future. Very true if the coins we choose are shitcoins, it is true if that's the case your
patience will be in vain. Therefore patience is not the only key to success, but patience and smart can deliver success.

for the current conditions it is true that we are testing our patience as traders because the prices of Bitcoin and Altcoin are almost entirely down dramatically.. and we don't know yet when the prices of Bitcoin and Altcoin will rise again and increase significantly in the near future.. I just need a little patience to wait for a miracle that the price of Bitcoin and Altcoin will rise again.. and this is a test for me to get through it. and only patience can bring success.
patience is the way when you do hold with your investment because the desired target has not been reached. therefore your patience will be tested because in investing you can sell the coins when your patience is out of control so it is important to practice patience in investing and that I think is one of the wise ways of investing in my opinion

If you feel your patience is being tested ( for what?? selling to fiat when ath?? ), than i suggest to sell your assets and turn away from Crypto.

This makes much sense, Patience goes with proper strategy, if not its baseless. For instance, if you decide to buy a coin because you think price has dumped to the core, with zero project development and obvious fake team , without doing research before you buy in, holding for years will be a total waste of time. Being patient in this situation doesn't worth it.

When it comes to my strategy, it depends on the crypto I am investing with. If I can see it as a strong currency, then I would not choose any other option, I would stick, wait and be patient on it since I have my faith on it. I understand why you consider selling loss as the same with selling in low price and that shouldn't be tolerated if you are looking for great profits. Indeed the patience is being tested every day as we all wait for the sunny days to come into the crypto market but so far the bear won't let the clouds go away making some of us loosing patience but not my case. I know that for those who bought during the bull run the patience is testing them at higher levels but we're all in the same boat guys , just wait and forget about the price , accumulate as much as you can and I hope everything will be okay for next year.
Although it is true that we must now be careful when investing in the cryptocurrency market analysis and also about the target everything must be clear we certainly do not want to be wrong in making decisions. because today too many people lose due to rush in investing 
I feel like my patience is tested when I see there is no movement in the market. This happens also when I do not get the reward I deserve for months, it make me really sick. Usually these days market is going up and down so it gives us some profit opportunities. We should not just wait BTC to move up, we need to trade altcoins instead go make some profit.
Patience play a very important role in all cryptocurrency dealings. With cryptocurrency investment, one cannot do without patience because the trend of a project or coin on the market is not always a one way upward movement. It comes in a wavy pattern hence it crawls gradually before it makes a huge surge. This is why it is very essential to exercise patience and wait for some coins to rise as they crawl gradually through their development.

I am more of a long term holder, and I have converted most of my altcoins and tokens to BTC/ETH. So all these fluctuations don't matter for me. But I am also not holding on to all of my coins. I am offloading small fractions at regular intervals (irrespective of the price). I am holding BTC for almost 6 years and my opinion is that time has come to sell at least some of my coins. I will be holding on to the vast majority, but I would say that there is nothing wrong in selling some 10-15% per year.
And from my experience, I would say that selling at a low price is not the same as selling a loss. Because you don't know about the future prices. Most of the time, you expect the prices to go up, so you are not prepared if the prices go down suddenly. And this has happened to me earlier. First in 2015, and then again in 2018. So if someone tells me that I should not be selling my coins at 8K levels, I'd tell him that a few months back the prices were around 3K and the current levels are much better when compared to that.

Same case, usually I uninstall my apps for tracking my portfolio since the tendency is to do a panic selling to avoid occur a greater much loss but sometime in stead of lowering the loss money it is loss forever cause the tokens sold eventually pump and you miss the train again to sell it on that price cause nervous come first with you ans emotionally do things you thought its best.

Controlling yourself can indeed be many ways. starting from not to open the market too often or with holidays. many ways that can be done when we are under stress due to a decrease in trading or digital assets that we hold actually dropped quite large. in this condition we must remain to think clearly sometimes I even go on vacation, this usually makes the emotions better if the market is in a state of collapse.

investing in cryptocurrency does require patience. because we don't know when coins will go down and up. when market conditions like this I choose two ways, namely investing long-term and short-term. I use bitcoin for a long-term investment in bitcoin. and I use altcoin for short-term investments. although the benefits from short-term investments are small. but if done continuously will accumulate a lot. than we just waiting for bitcoin to go up. we better make short-term investments.

This makes sense to me, although holding sometimes is not favorable. I accumulated DENT and NPXS at dips and decided to hold long term since there was at least development updates with those projects. Unfortunately for me, the price of those coins keep dumping with time. Sometimes I ask myself if development updates from projects don't contribute to price spikes anymore? Well, let me keep holding some coins on my portfolio at dip for long term and see how it goes.
