I bet there is a large percentage of users here who have the same experience as you do.
Yes, one of them is me. Being too innocent at the start and not thinking that much yet.
But I do believe those wrong steps made us what we are now. So it is still worth the experience.

Main source for investing is of course hard cash. Just buy bitcoin in a local shop and then do it over and over again every month.
But then I stop for some time just so I could give myself something new. Things, foods and other stuffs that makes me happy.
After that, back again to investing. It already became like a job.  Cheesy

I have not been really into investing though I have some stocks with a premiere banking firm here in my country, which i just left in my broker's site idle for some years now. What made me excited into investing is cryptocurrency but unfortunately it was not bitcoin but a scamming project called TheBillionCoin which by name itself really sounded so dubious. Okay, I was still innocent and naive at the time. Soon, I meet bitcoin and it was not yet that pricey at the time but because I was not convinced that it can go sky-high I just bought some.
Some of your comments does not match up, you say that you came to know about cryptocurrency through some scam project and after investing in that you found bitcoin, it is really weird and with the time line you are telling that the price of bitcoin was not that high, you believe that the price of bitcoin wont go high but yet you believed that a project who promises 2% daily would give you great returns, just that line alone will make anyone stay away from that scam and yet you invested in it.
About the source of investment mostly everything is done through banks until there was a ban in India for the banking sector to deal with bitcoin exchanges.

I always try to save some money from my local earnings to invest in btcs, although it's hard to have some pennies at the end of every month to do something else than just paying taxes and expenses.
If I could, I would invest at least 50% of my local earnings every month in btc, then I would use these btcs to make a decent online investment to see how it does. The hardest part is to find a source of income.

All the cryptocoins I've got comes from bounty hunting from the many bounty platforms I've participated, I also invested my own money from top coins that have a good potential in the market, but still the best way is to do bounty especially if you have a good rank here in this forum, or you have a lot of followers in your social media account
Bounties might be a decent source for income but it can't make us the real investors who can be a millionaire through their investments.

I did my investments on bitcoin from the money which I got from selling my small land and invested some part into it bitcoin and the remaining into expenses for me but later I realized that my investments on cryptos turned into huge amount which I never could imagine.

The investment source that I use in investing bitcoin and crypto currencies is from the results of the partial payment of the salary that I get I prefer from the payment rather than using a credit card because the use of my credit card only makes us wasteful instead of the investment we get bill that swelled at the beginning of the month.
I never used a credit card to shop or buy bitcoin also. it will only burden you at the end. I have salary income in real jobs. In the beginning when I invested in 2014, I used more than half of my salary to buy bitcoin, I remember that time, taking risks by buying a few mBTC and doing trade, get several losses, but with a lot of learning, just need one time deposit, I already have a lot of profit.
And started adding more capital several times because I feel my skills have started to rise, and I thought the potential of bitcoin is very big.

most of the people are just like you, those money are come from the hardwork doing campaign and anything that came from job in crpyto also, I guess there are a small numbers of people whose investments are come from their outside source.

Suppose that 80-85% of people invest in the cryptocurrencies the money they earn on their main work. Some fellows (at least I know these guys) buy crypto for the money that was given to them as a gift.
Those are the extra money for them, I don't have to invest my earning on cryptocurrency because its already bitcoin I just need to hold it until the price go up. Recently, I borrowed money from my friends telling them that I badly needed the money (Because the market is down that time), luckily they allow me to use their money and pay them without any interest, I think its my source of money to borrow and reinvest during the bear trend and earn money and invest it again.

I started my initial investment through my account by buying bitcoin a few years ago when the price was still very cheap, but it was very unfortunate because of the lack of vegetation and the result I had lost everything. And after getting to know the bounty campaign I began to do it and made the results of that for my next investment by being more careful.
maybe if you still hold your bitcoin till 2017 maybe you will be rich man now, and maybe will not know about bounty campaign.bounty give alot of people chance to collect bitcoin although they have no money for invest.

What are the sources of the money you invested with bitcoin or cryptocurrency?
We are the same likely story since I don't use some of my earned money before. Some are also on my online jobs, I also use my own money invested in cryptocurrency but I pull it out when I already have some profits before, I just want to get my capital so in my mind whatever will happen I will don't have any lose.

I also heard that kind of Ponzi scheme here in our country, which most of the victims here are those people who are a newbie in crypto or newbie in online investment or opportunity to earn.

So far i dont use my own money for online investments because i cant afford to loose it and there is more important things  that i can use with it aside from cryptocurrencies  .

I think my main source is not spending as much as I used to. I know I am not living the life I want to live and I know I have very few luxuries in my life but even with that in mind I am still okay with living a simple life just to see my investments grow bigger and live a better life in the future.

I have lived the ups and downs of this life economically all my life, even as a child my father used to be a general manager all the way down to a regular worker and now retired man so I have lived as a private school going insanely lucky kid and also kid of a retired man all the same. Similar stuff happened to me, earned as much as 10 times the minimum wage and earned as little as zero some months.

So, now I am focusing on earning as much as I can but spending as little as I can just to actually have some investments aside and instead of ups and downs I have standards that do not change no matter what thanks to my investments.

I have a small business here, every time I make a profit here, the 10% I earned I put in crypto every month.  I did not sell it or moved it but instead I added more because I believe in the foundation of this coins.  Hodlers always win as they say.
Holdlers will always win provided they are not saving into the pocket of shit projects and scam projects, I prefer to do my investment once because cultivating the habit of putting in money on a monthly basis is quite risky, it could make one buy at a very high price because I believe that it is not very month that one will always get dip price.

If I am to do a monthly savings, I will rather first save up my investment money first in a separate account and then when the amount is tangible enough, I then take my time to fully do a research and look for the time the coin of choice will go dip before putting in the money.

i have never invested with my money, i started with bounty campaign and till today i solely commit to it. investing with money here in my country is more risky because of too much fraudulent vices prevalence which has affected many psychologically. i could start because i wouldn't need to fix money and i will have little or nothing to lose. but i am grateful i started.
without spending money and investing you can be smart. of course this does not contain material losses. but indeed we have to work extra to get wages from the campaign program. and I think that is the best way for those of us who still have free time

The main source of the money I invested with bitcoin comes from doing online job with a platform where we are allowed to post in many forums in exchange for some points and the those points can be converted to real money anytime.

What are the sources of the money you invested with bitcoin or cryptocurrency? Anybody here used credit cards?

We have the same source but I was not become a victim of the TBC back then. Anything that has a Nigerian on it is an automatic red flag. But I'm not denying that when I was a newbie, being naive is really a part of it so I was scammed by small time investment site. And now, I'm still hoping that the altcoins I earned in the past bounties will have value so I have more source to invest in btc.

some of the salary that I earn every month as an employee, I set aside to buy cryptocurrency. besides that I worked on a bounty campaign, so I could invest some of the results. there are many ways for us to invest, and investing in crypto can match our abilities
Does those bounties that you've joined paid you accordingly?

Because not every bounty now is like that with what you are saying, you work for a bounty but many are complaining that they haven't paid.

Just like you, most of my investment comes from the profit turnover I get from trading and bounty, which I invest back into crypto and it rotates as long as I make a profit. I have a full time job, but after I think that salary can be better used for investing in real world like buying real estate because I am easier to manage real estate investments and I can manage this investment with a little free time.

In the beginning I had invested a very small portion of my savings, I came across a lucky period and my money grew. Then I started to earn token from bounty and airdrops, it was a lucky time, especially in 2017. I gave most of my earnings to my family, it is a great pleasure to support them and my bounty works and trade are continuing.
