Why should I feel envy about another guy being lucky? Luck is luck, either you have it or you don't.
I definitely don't feel motivated by such news. I have always been skeptical about my luck and I don't believe that I'm going to win the lottery jackpot. There's a reason why lotteries are called "tax for the stupid". I have bought lottery tickets in the past with zero success.
My mother always urges me to play the lottery. I don't know why. I guess that she has that delusional hope, that I'm going to win someday.
Playing the lottery every day actually doesn't increase your chances of winning the jackpot. There was a Romanian mathematician, who had found the formula for winning almost every lottery, but it requires buying lots of tickets at once(which is big investment).

I would be fine if I saw a beginner buy a lottery ticket and get a very large jackpot. what am i jealous for when the luck that everyone has is very different maybe he is lucky in the lottery but I am lucky in sports betting or slots this is fair to me and no need to be jealous of other people's wins.
to me seeing other people's triumphs is like a child whining when he sees his friend having something extravagant.

btw, I personally don't like the lottery, I rarely buy lottery tickets, so it's impossible for me to be jealous of what other people get from lottery tickets.

How will it help you to be jealous or angry about this? It should motivate you that anyone can win the Lottery, even if you only bought tickets for the first time. (It just shows you that it is random and that your buying history does not factor into the way that tickets are drawn) Wink

15 million dirhams is equivalent to 4 million dollars, which is huge, the guy must be very lucky for winning such a big amount only for the first time, I would probably faint out of happiness if something like that happens to me, lol, but jokes apart, he does have great luck and his family must be very happy seeing him get success like this, he can probably live the rest of his life in luxury if he uses that money in the right way, start some businesses and eat while sitting at home.

Anyway, coming back to the topic, I don't think I would envy him even if I have been buying tickets for the same lottery for years and didn't manage to win anything at all because it's all about luck and if I was as lucky as him, I would definitely win at least once out of all these years but it didn't happen which means my luck never worked for me.

Just Ok with it. The probability is too low for any of us to get it. What happens is that there are so many millions of people buying lottery tickets every day, that eventually someone will win. Not always, however, because most of the time in lotteries like Euromillions the jackpot doesn't hit anyone and the jackpot is accumulated for the next one.

The fact is that I play the lottery from time to time, knowing that the probability of winning the jackpot is almost 0, because if you win it can change your life and the price of a ticket is very low. But that's all.

I am not a lottery bettor but one thing comes to my mind if someone who is betting on a lottery for more than a decade and did not hit any jackpot wins is that person would be envious and at the same time ok with it. It will also spark motivation because he will surely thinks that if he keeps on buying tickets, the time would come when he will hit the jackpot one day.

The thought of hitting the jackpot one day is the great motivation of lottery tickets buyer so we cannot remove the fact that they are hoping that they will get lucky one day so the news of someone hitting the jackpot gives them more motivation.

I agree that the majority of lottery bettors will be motivated and envious in fact there's a study that whenever someone hit a huge jackpot the lottery betting tends to increase, so far in the poll I place the, I'm ok with it got the highest vote, but I want to be honest since I place a bet from time to time, I feel envious and motivated, it's possible but it's very rare for a first time bettor to hit a jackpot, sometimes you will feel sorry and think that betting in the lottery is not your thing, but you will be back betting and hoping that you will be the next to hit the jackpot.

And those are people who do choose up "Envious" & "Motivated". They would really be trying out to mimic on what happened here and assuming that they could really get the same luck on what that
person had able to obtain. This is why its always been that ideal that you should really be that contented on what you do currently been doing with your lottery betting means and dont really
make yourself that get desperate because if you do have this kind of behavior then for sure you would really be buying more tickets.

Luck is something that wont really be on anyone, there's always that one person who would really take it all and this is the time that we do say that he's/she's extremely lucky on hitting

I'm happy for them, typically (if I think they are a good human being). Of course like I imagine with most people do, I always wish that it would have happened to me, but then again I rarely play the lottery as when I see people constantly throwing dollars at lotto's /lotto scratch off tickets etc I just think wow what a waste of money overall.. I would rather put a few bucks on a stock or a crypto coin or bitcoin as I know the chance to profit is much better.

Well, I am. But then only for a moment and that's about it. I've never tried to think past of that since, well I've tried a few times, but it never really ended that well. Just a self-swallowing kind of pity that would probably never end, so I just move on. I'd probably think how lucky for them for about a minute or two then I'm done.

Though I guess in the first place I wouldn't exactly feel this that strongly, lotteries aren't really a thing for me, not really hate it, just not my type of thing. It's just a money sink that doesn't guarantee anything at all. Sure, it's a game-changer, but the odds of you being one of them? Absolutely minuscule. I do try it sometimes, but never with the expectation that something will actually happen, mostly just for the sake of trying it out since it got into my eye.

Why we should feel envious or motivated? It is purely luck, there is no way to get the same luck although we play multiple times. I never feel envious/motivated when I read news about winning jackpot on luck-based games, it is their luck and it is a random thing.

By the way, I think we mustn't feel motivated because it harms us. When we feel motivated, we may try harder to chase the winning. We all know that more attempts never guarantee for the winning in betting /lottery. It just wastes money and we may spend all money without getting anything. Just think realistically that it is about the luck, it is not about the hard work.

This is exactly the same thing I actually stressed on my previous post about "successful gamblers not being regarded as addicted gamblers" ...I said it on that post that peeps winning big on Thier first deposit sometimes aren't actually gambling addict...
For this case, I'll say there's no motivation to feel - cus I believe some things are just meant to be, honestly... "It normally falls at a table where it's least expected" - so if that's the case, then skills and experience has only 40% role to play, compared to LUCK.

I feel like winning the lottery is incredibly difficult and it requires an extraordinary amount of luck. That's why some gamblers spend years trying to hit the jackpot without success. It's something that is very hard but not impossible to achieve.

If im the one who had been making out bets for a decade but still havent been able to hit up some jackpot then it cant really be avoided for you not to be that envious on what those first time bettor do able to hit up

jackpot while you had been betting for almost your entire life? thats totally unfair you would really be saying into yourself but well this is how life as it should be. If your lucky then you do hit jackpots but if not then you wouldn't. There are really things which are really that supposed to be for you no matter on what are the things you've been doing but as long the fate would really be dictating then
