I think about why YouTube removed some videos related to crypto then I find few answers about why YouTube has been removed videos. Maybe that videos promoting fake products like bitcoin private key finder through scam the people and stolen funds from them selling fake products with some kind of malware software will be damaged our computers. so my thought is YouTube removed that type of video and clean the youtube from the scammer.

As I have read the youtube's statement regarding it is quite obvious why they made an excuse as if it was a real error, I don't think there will be some errors on youtube about that one but it was a real decision that has been made and been regret after the surge. The thing with crypto related videos to be banned is very unreasonable, just think of the videos in youtbe that has no meaning at all but just all nonsensical stuffs. Instead of banning the crytp-related videos, why not make a solution for people not to get easily attached with some kind of scamming content by having ads about it?

I knew it. It seemed a bit random.
I knew there was no way YouTube could exempt itself from the revolution that crypto brings

Couldn't have been a mistake, it was as though it was targeted at only crypto related videos.
Unless there is an even better explanation for it

So you mean they accidentally deleted all the btc or crypto related videos and not the normal videos! Very convenient indeed, even though they claim it is a mistake, i think people should be careful or alert, i don't know such company can make this kind of mistake or accident.

Despite the apologies, I still think bitcoin video enthusiasts should migrate to decentralised video hosting sites like D tube: https://d.tube/
Decentralized is good but you cant stop people not to use up the largest network when it comes to video sharing and monetizing yet we know on how big it is when it comes to network/users.
Mistakes do happen and its good that Youtube do give a word that its an error on their side that do made out this incident.Good thing that they had admitted and as mentioned
that theres no such change into their policy and this one is a good news for those crypto people that uses up this platform.

Quote
YouTube has reinstated hundreds of crypto-currency related channels after admitting it had removed them "in error".

A wave of YouTubers received notifications that their videos were in breach of the platform's terms of service earlier this week.

The move appeared to target smaller channels and publishers that focused on Bitcoin and crypto-currency content.

The Google-owned video sharing platform has since apologised for the mistake.

YouTube said in a statement that it had "made the wrong call" and confirmed that any content mistakenly removed would be restored.

"With the massive volume of videos on our site, sometimes we make the wrong call," it said.

"When it's brought to our attention that a video has been removed mistakenly, we act quickly to reinstate it."

It said there had been no changes to its polices, and insisted there would be "no penalty" to any channels that were affected by the incident.

@alyssa85 I’m not surprised by their decision to roll back the ban on crypto content creators, because they were stunned by the resilience and support shown by the crypto community against their actions. Also you’re right it’s a wake up call for crypto content creators, they should seriously consider leaving YouTube for other platforms.

In my own opinion, i think some crypto related videos are deleted by accident, but most of it was deleted by not accident or on purpose because i heard that there are a lot of spam videos about crypto which most of it are just scam or to trick other people, so i think YouTube really do it just to reduce scam and frauds in the internet.
Some kind of false positive I suppose, they are usually just purge video based on some of category and to see that they are mistakenly purging so many videos regarding crypto is the side effect of using that system. Just hope that they could fully recover the video they deleted.
I also believe that it was an accident or just a mistake that YouTube deleted all those crypto related videos. I also assume at first that it wasn't a mistake that it was on purpose because why crypto videos only, why not other non crypto related videos. Maybe it was really just a bug, and it will be easy for YouTube to recover the videos that they was deleted because it was only in their database.

I think it could be considered as a mistake but I wonder why of all the video contents existing on Youtube, they still deleted crypto connected videos? I think the best thing that video owners can do is to save their files and just move to a more reliable site because the same thing might happen again in the future.

Don't let others control your BTC -> self custody
Let's not forget how many times Google makes such accident.

Anyone still remember Google Home accidentally listening to the users all the time? Accident or Not, Google's Eavesdropping Mistake Is Terrifying

There were many "bugs" with these services. It's the same with Amazon Alexa. They are logging all your requests and searches and some users even found suspicious activity or maybe those are backdoor options for special services and such. If you ask them certain questions they will not answer or hang, or make strange sounds. I don't trust in these systems and I don't trust google and YT. People lost money because of their error and all they can do is say sorry, we will not give you any penalties.
They just shat on your doorstep and when you dared to point it out they said they will clean it up later.

Looking for gigs
This is what I expected, as they finally admitted that it’s deleted by accident. But still, I would back up all of my Youtube videos just in case I want to switch to another platform.

There are some who believed that Youtube quietly “ends” cryptocurrency crackdown on their own terms. Accident or no accident, crypto enthusiasts like me are so outraged that the helpful and educational videos of crypto influencers have been removed.

At least, the damage hasn’t got worse. So yeah, we’re all good on this and continue to share crypto-related content on our respective Youtube channels.

CryptoTalk.Org - Get Paid for every Post!
This guy is just taking advantage of this news to introduce a new website that he thinks is better than youtube, But the problem, is it really better? Youtube has a long way to go and they have huge traffic, which can lead to a few small flaws. Is a new website capable and powerful enough to maintain without any similar errors? Anyway, YouTube is the best place

D Tube is not a "new website".

It's a decentralised video sharing site that is built on top of the Steem blockchain, and has been in existence for three years. And you can earn Steem for sharing your videos (if people think it's good enough to upvote).

It's kind of strange that people are attacking a crypto project because they are addicted to Youtube and their Google bosses.

I remember i shared my opinion about this topic sometime ago that Youtube will be doing a great harm more than good if they are to do this. There are so many crypto related accounts all for the purposes of educating the public and they are going to lose a huge number of viewers if they should flag crypto related contents. I'm happy they have realized and trying to mak amends to this situation.

That is not an excuse because allot of us here already thought about their AI technology filter will be the excuse for them directly banning cryptocurrency related videos over their platform. With that, the content creators of the videos deleted have their careers compromised and they should be properly compensated. In addition, why are they banning some cryptocurrency application in playstore as well? We should not be blind about this, they are attacking the crypto community with their capabilities.

I guessed the same. Youtube keeps on implementing new algorithm to make the platform free of videos that violates the term of Youtube. And it uses bots to check for and remove. Even the largest of You-tubers have complained about the issue and they generally respond with reinstating the video.

Good one from Youtube for realizing some mistakes and not failing to apologize. The earlier crypto content creator starts looking for a decentralized platform the better. It's disheartening to watch one's years of labour just go down in a flip second, can't tell if all will be restored, the programmer went beyond boundaries.

But if we want bitcoin to knowi n all the sides we need to be in both centralised and decentralised places right. There are many investors still doesn't know what is the exact possibilities they can with Bitcoin and blockchain technology.
YouTube best horn of the tool to show the potential of Bitcoin so let people use both the options.
