This is an extremely interesting thread related to the ZCash's Founders' reward debate:

https://twitter.com/AriannaSimpson/status/1183800353252413442

A must-read if you're following ZCash!

gonna check it out, thx for the link!
tbh, between the no bounds greed of the founders with their 20% Tax from miners, and the constant selling out to cooperations, toxic waste problems, etc etc
almost seems zcash is a meme at this point, its just lucky people aren't tecky enough to see it Tongue
market has spoken i suppose tho, 25$ and falling, gonna be a good pump hehe

Zcash is more useable than BTC. Who wants to wait 5 hours to get some gas or goods? Zcash can have confirmed within an hours time only

But still a lot of crypto users don't know the benefits of using ZCash up until now especially the new ones.
Maybe they need another round of good promotion highlighting the benefits of zcash?
Or maybe not. Their 24-hr trading volume alone in various exchanges is giving the notion that they are still doing great at the moment.

im new to Zcash
why it has the longest consolidation in crypto history
is it because of the big inflation and early hype?

Welcome.
i don't really know what the reasons are, but if you are new you have much less worries.. i guess you came in a good time

Yeah, I thought same 2 yrs ago.
And then I realized........ Roll Eyes

What did you realize exactly?
....then I realized they are here only for the money and dev tax.

they are clearly not doing it for the dev fund only
remember that ECC could make a lot of money by taking other jobs on the side - i am sure that people reached to them with propositions

Proof-of-Stake Blockchain Network
One of the things i like more from ZEC is that Zcash utilizes this ‘zero-knowledge proof’ in its core technology called zk-SNARKS

Due to its implementation of zk-SNARKS, there are two different types of Zcash addresses. T-address and Z-address. T-address means the address is transparent or public. Z-address means the address is private or hidden. The t-address works the same way with a wallet address in the bitcoin blockchain. All transactions are visible on the blockchain explorer. But, when you start utilizing the z-address, the public won’t be able to observe any information except during shielding and deshielding (where partial information can be revealed due to the involvement of a t-address).

T-address and Z-address of a wallet address are interoperable. So, ZEC coins can be sent from z-address to t-address and vice versa.

ZEC is one of the coins to hold for the future same with Monero and Dash, be sure to keep some in your bag.

agreed. Personally as someone who loves BTC I love the option of having t addresses as well. The best of both worlds. If you need privacy and know how to use the Zcash network you will be able to cover your tracks better than any other coin. All this FUD about "optional" privacy is unbelievable. Yes, having optional privacy is an issue for new users who are technically challenged and dont know how to access Z addresses....but I imagine this will begin to change as Z addresses are pushed out to mobile and exchange wallets in the near future.
Well, I do not agree. Take Monero and also get very anonymous transactions without any problems with address types. Also, Monero is older and more reliable for me personally. But this is just my opinion.
To whom it is more convenient. As far as I understand now, from anonymous and serious coins, these are Monero Dash and ZEC.
Which is better for everyone to decide for himself, who is more convenient to use.

The difference is that Monero has all transactions anonymous unless you add a memo.
Sending from one wallet to another in Monero will be anonymous.
Bytecoin is also worth mentioning as anonymous - Monero is a fork of bytecoin.

This coin is massively undervalued for the price and supply imo. Massive upside potential here. Let us not forget what ZEC was trading for in Oct 2016. No coin has ever come on the market like that trading against BTC. This coin imo is truly shaking the crypt0 world up. Especially with the most recent development with "Halo"....

everyday is all time low.

I don't think the small time miners with z9 minis would want to sell at these levels if your breaking even or even taken some losses. Why bother to sell if your losing money from it. Might as well hold for better days.
If you have losses, then you switch off your machine and for the price of electricity buy more coins than you would mine.

zooko and his pals need to stop fucking dumping all their ZEC.

Could be the miners also. Zec miners have very weak hands and no patience to hold off for better days.

I'd not agree with that, due to the fact that the ASICs that are mining ZEC are way too efficient. With the current (low) value of ZCash, the Antminer Z11 is still making very solid $7.5 worth of ZEC every 24 hours, with about 1400 Watts of power. Even the rate of 10 cents for each kWh makes it look quite profitable.

Exactly.  Since z11 is making very good profit compared to other miners. bigger mining operations are forced to sell to cover there operations and also take decent profit.  If i ran a medium- big operation, I would do this.

Quite a shame also because zcash tech is very innovative and improving with headline news.

But that's why only the smart few will make out well. Not all of us will

Before ZEC and Monero price is close to each other but  ZEC price is always ahead of Monero price before. But now ZEC is almost dying while Monero is going to reach coinmarket cap top 10. So sad....
