I don't think there's a windows version yet, but it runs fine on linux.
Be aware that this is a a very slow "test-only" cpu miner, so once a public GPU miner will be available, hashing will be much faster.

I'm curious to hear more about how this trusted setup will work. A trustless zcash would be a great innovation, but from what I've read, I don't know if it's possible.

I wonder how many people applied to zcash miners bounty. If I developed a stand alone gpu miner I might keep it for myself, but 10k usd from the zcash company also looks appealing. Im pretty sure however there are already gpu miners that we dont know of. ocminer, is there way to compile that linux cpu standalone miner for windows, Id like to see perfomance increase with threads and core hertz.

A lot of our customers are excited about Zcash. Its new approach to security and next level of anonymity makes it an exciting currency and everyone is happy that another cryptocurrency with such a high potential is hitting the market. i think transaction will be slow like bitcoin.

I've been following this coin for a long time,it seems the launch date keep getting delayed.. hope the Oct 28 launch date will push through.
