I have seen so many alt coins that were cheaper and I was holding on to ETH thinking it will pave out. I wish i bought altcoins with it as that would got me some profits.

I was watching VERGE xvg recently when it was less than 1 cent. today it is 25 cents. I wish that I had invested in it when My gut instincts was for it.

Ethereum is very good cryptocurrency. And I am not going to change my attitude toward the whole crypto world and toward Ethereum especially. This cryptocurrency will stay as my favorite asset for investments.

You always need to diversify your investment portfolio. To my mind only this method can minimize risks. There is no doubghts that Ethereum will slowly rise, while alts can do it much faster. But you should remember that alts are risky obviously. So if your lose in alts, you will still have a chance to win with your ethereum. 
In this case forget about verge. You've missed this train, better find something new to invest your money.

I would rather hold it or if you really want to invest on some other thing, invest in on bitcoin, there are simply too many altcoins at the moment and I think that they are saturating their own market which will eventually collapse so I prefer to stick to the mainstream coin.
Buy the most promising coins, in your opinion, which are engaged in creating their own blockchain, and you will be happy. Now there are many worth projects in this market.
For me, you are holding one Ethereum it is better to just hold it than buying some altcoins because of the fact that it can even give you more profit than any other altcoins and it is more stable than other altcoins.
In addition of being the most stable alternate cryptocurrency in the cryptoworld, consider its use case that's influenced almost all alt coins' standards. Thanks to ethereum's blockchain as it's the reason why its popularity is on the rise whilst boosting its market cap too. So it's really safe to say that Ethereum is really a promising crypto that is worth the HODL.
i think it is good to invest 2 or 3 altocoins more than holding a 1 eth,you can increase your eth amount by treading with altocoins, as my researches WABI,ICX and ADA is my suggestions for you 
Most recently noticed that now there are some promising altcoins, which in their potential really exceed BTC and ETH. Especially if we talk about earnings on investment.
That potential coins is really hard to find since the market is really volatile, if you have decent capital to invest better to hold ETH and wait for long the value can go as high as bitcoin reached, since the development and progress still ongoing and most of ICO projects used this coin then chances to have a much bigger value in the long process is possible for this alts it can be move along with bitcoin.
I think you can buy some altcoins, so you will also get more profits in the future, and you can invest in ethereum, and bitcoin.

if i have that eth, i will trade that to altcoins. there are so many promising altcoin over the market. You just need to research closely to gain profit of your eth. Alts with lower price is multiply many times if price hit to the top. 1 eth will just give you a minimal profit because its just 1eth. While in Alts if you have huge number of token a small increase will surely hive you huge profit.

I think this is very true. At present the price of ETH has decreased very much. You better hold a little longer and wait for the price to return to normal and go up. If you buy another altcoin, the same means you sell your ETH at a very cheap price. You will still lose
You can not really take out the risk in crypto investments but what i can say is that sometimes you have to make that bold step after you have done the necessary check-up with the project or altcoin you want to invest in.
1 ethereum is not very big money. Therefore, I would recommend taking a risk and buying altcoin, which in the future can bring more dividends.
