this directbet is interesting because it cuts down on the risk of keeping your btc with another site/address.  Are you payouts after the games are over fast?  The only downside I see is that I have to pay a transaction fee with every bet I make.

Just a minor correction - winnings are not returned to the same Bitcoin address used to place the wager. Winnings are sent to any Bitcoin address of your choice. So you can send them directly to your exchange account or anywhere else for that matter.

Your payout address is set when you place a bet for the first time. That address is then stored for future bets and can be changed at any time.

DirectBet review

Directbet opened in December of 2013. No personal information is needed and the player does not have an account. Players deposit bitcoins to a bitcoin address that corresponds to the wager wanted. The only bitcoins held by Directbet are those that are being used for pending wagers. Wagers are graded automatically and winnings are returned to the bitcoin address that was used to place the wager minutes after the conclusion of the event. Make sure to use an e-wallet and not an exchange.

Another positive feature about Directbet is that they are the only bitcoin book to have true live wagering. Currently DirectBet is even offering in game on the Olympics. The offerings do not stop in game and wait for a commercial break as all the other bitcoin books do that offer live wagering.

No confirmations are needed to accept a wager. The maximum bet on full game is 7.8 BTC win amount. There have been no reports of slow pays. Since DirectBet is so new, it is unfair to both DirectBet and the players to have a rating at this time. If the status quo continues, DirectBet will be a must have book for those playing live.

Not one book has paid a penny for posting or advertising prior to a rating being posted. Books that now pay, after a rating has been submitted, are not protected at our forum as they are at other forums. Even though their banners will be up soon, we allow free speech. The only thing deleted is personal information.

Many of the "B" books will be an "A" soon but the book's history has to be over at least one year to get an "A" rating.  Blockbet, Bitcoinlive, and Bitcoinsports (365) all looked like great books at one time too.

SBObitcoin is an agent for PinnacleSports and SBOBET. These two books should be at the top of everyone's list as far as best books in the world. They take the largest wagers and have a great track records. SBObitcoin not only has a presence on multiple forums, but they have a live chat 24/7 that was very helpful.

Why is SBObitcoin on the A ? you got paid by him for posting ?

I did read through that whole thread two days ago and came to the conclusion, right or wrong, that there wasn't enough evidence showing that Cloudbet had done anything that would warrant any type of downgrade. If a slow pay were involved, then I would have done a lot more research. In this case, I didn't feel it necessary.

How do you handle stories like this?

I am a bit interested in how you define a sportsbook?

In my eyes SBObitcoin, in it's role as agent, is more of an affiliate than an actual sportsbook. They are not pricing anything up themselves and don't take any risk, as they are paid a percentage of the turnover they bring to the real sportsbooks.

All "A" and "B" rated books are recommended.

Some "B" books should become "A" books with more time. Just one VALID no pay or prolonged slow pay will result in a substantial downgrade.

No, they never paid me all the money which was owed.  They stole 8 btc from me and refuse to communicate with me, SBR, or anyone else.  I've been around for a while and there are usually more to these stories; in this case there isnt.  This constitutes nothing but outright theft without explanation.

Casinobitco.in opens at "B+"

Casinobitco.in opened in June of 2013. Casinobitco.in is located in Panama with servers in Ireland and Hong Honk. One nice added feature is that Casinobitco.in is the only bitcoin sports book to have a provably fair casino. The only thing required to register is a username and password. Casinobitco.in seems to have the same lines as 5 Dimes on American sports at a price of -107. This includes the NCAA as well as totals.  Another feature is that they have is 1st and 2nd half wagering.
 
The only con is having a 2 BTC maximum bet. The maximum does fluctuate as risk management may lower limits on popularly bet games. The owner is very receptive to player feedback and has run free, as well as pay, NFL survivor pools along with Super Bowl squares.
 
Payouts are instant and there have not been any reports of no pays. On occasion an account may be flagged which could cause a delay of 4-6 hours. Deposits are instant and do not require any confirmations. Overall this is one of the best bitcoin books and is only some time away from being an “A” book.

Anyone having problems getting paid other than with the "F" rated books?

I've had very positive experiences at both casinobitco.in and more recently coinbet.cc. 

Coinbet is very new but the service has been personal and prompt.  More importantly, they paid me 5 figures within their posted time frame.  Like any new book, there are growing pains, but they have been very responsive to my suggestions and encourage feedback. 

They're worth checking out IMO.

They are going to be a "B" and we will post more about them later today.

How the books will be rated and weighted emphasis in order.

1. A heavy emphasis will be placed on speed of payments. Several books immediately pay out after the game has been graded. Those are the books with the least risk involved. Sweat the game, not the payout is not just a slogan. It should be a way of life for these bitcoin books. Bitcoin books have a much higher standard involved than post-up books because there are no fees involved and no need for a third party processor.

2. Grading time. Most postup books have automated grading; the winners and losers are determined minutes after the game is over. Bitcoin books that do this show that they have invested in their software. Books that rely on an individual to grade all games tend to have a high degree of risk.

3. Books not requiring personal information including an email address will be graded higher. Anonymity is a plus.

4. Date opened if less than 2 years. Bitcoin has just taken off in the past year, so it's unfair for one to compare a top bitcoin book with a post-up book like Pinnacle. But it is still important that a book shows itself to not be a flash in the pan. The longer a period of time a book has been open, the better its track record.

5. Limits. In general, the higher the limits, the deeper the bankroll of the sportsbook. If a bitcoin book takes high limits and pays out quickly, it shows its strength.

6. Sports and options offered. Uniqueness of lines and betting options is a positive.

7. Mobile betting. The ability to bet on the go can be important to some.

8. Live betting. The more, the better. Offering live betting isn't easy; the ones that do offer live betting lines tend to be stronger in general.

9. Customer service. The better the customer service, the more professional the book.

10. Interface. Ease of use is important.

11. Whether or not the book requires a deposit account. Depositing into a bitcoin book is a much bigger risk to the bettor, especially since these books have not built up a strong history that shows their staying ability.
