10k in 3 years?

No.

When people make statements like that, it is one of two things:

1) Wishful Thinking

2) Pump attempt before a planned sell
+1 but the sustainability of bitcoin price if exceed $10.000 , could be long, depends on the demand and the use of bitcoin, like popularity thing.

Just lol. Reaching $1000 again will probably be one of the most difficult things for Bitcoin to achieve. Let alone $10000 within 3 years. Even if we do reach $1000, then we will see the price go down in no time.

There are plenty of wild accusations like this in the speculation thread everyday, Unfortunately i very much doubt we would be getting anywhere near that kind of numbers for atr least another 10 years, And even then its a big if. Everything would have to come together pretty well for prices to get so high and lately that seems unlikely.

It's always possible due to the always increasing monetary base of the US currency. Let's see if he's right.

i believe you need more time, 10k as a stable value will be true by the end of the 2020-2030 decade

if he talk as an unstable value then it may be, but i would predict that the price will then be dumped easily at the previous range

I think that everyone hopes that the price reaches that. I definitely hope that it does. I would be rich.

I think it isn't unreasonable to predict we'll see bitcoins trading at $2,000-$10,000 within the next 3 years.  I think a top of $800-$2,000 in the next year is also highly possible.

Everything is possible but I think it's highly unlikely. The Wall Street gurus proclaimed Bitcoin would be $5000 per coin till Christmas last year but it has been stagnation all year long.

To post the correct link, that you were trying to link to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMb77Ds-wfQ
He seem to be a reasonable person but I doubt it would reach $10,000 BTCitcoin, per coin in 3 years. It's such a wild guess and as much as I would like this to happen, I doubt it will go all the way up to $10,000 in 3 years but again we never know what could be the factor in future that might affect the price per coin.

It's certainly possible. With the upcoming block halving there will be some immediate pressure on the price once the fresh supply of coins being generated is cut in half. Considering bitcoin has already hit above $1,000 in its short lifespan, I do not think $10,000 is too far-fetched.

If/when that point in time comes, I cannot help to think how many people will look back at the recent $200-$450 range and ask themselves why they didn't buy as much as they could, similarly to how people now sometimes regret not buying back when btc was trading under $20.

For example:

Bitcoin price January 1, 2013: $13.55  People buying at the time "no way bitcoin would ever be worth over $1,000"  $13.55 x 10 x 10 = $1355.00 (came close in Nov 2013)

Recent Bitcoin price: ~$400  People buying at the time "no way bitcoin would ever be worth over $10,000"  $400 x 10 x 10 = $40,000 (hopefully some-point in the future)
