I know it's probably not a priority, but are you working on some marketing to get the pool growing ?

I am working on things to grow the pool further.

good and as a point of price drops am is selling blades at a good price.

if you are in the usa canaryinthemine will sell a blade for 5 coins. I grabbed 3 blades today.

Dr Haribo,

What about Cloudhashing, are you in touch with them ? or even AsicMiner could be convince to come back ?

Thx

Aren't Cloudhashing the guys that chickened out, because their customers could not understand variance?

ASICMINER are quite happily solo mining, it makes sense for them.

Hopefully WhitePhantom will be back, now that Dr implemented the email notifications for failing workers.

My bit coin address is reading this on blockchain.info

Got error 157 'Unknown error code' from NDBCLUSTER

 anyone ever have this problem?

this is also true on a second address  have

This pops up ever so often in the blockchain.info thread. Don't remember what the cause, but it seems to be a temporary thing.
yeah I played around and put in 20 different btc addresses all got the error , but now all is well.

Thanks for the quick reply Doc.  I think/hope we can get him minting with the info you've provided.

Yes, Java is disabled now by default.

If you go to terminal and enter:

Code:
Java –version

You should get a message telling you that no runtime is present and you will be prompted for the installation.

If you don't want to go into terminal at all, then the easiest way is to just go out and download the latest version of Java (at java.com) and upon install it will re-enable Java.  After that, Bitminter should work with no problem.

Doc, I am trying to help a friend get up and running on bitminter on a MAC OS box(blind leading the blind).  No joy so far.  Could you direct me to the info needed to make this work?

Thanks

How far did you get?

I think Apple now disables the Java plugin in Safari by default. You'd have to turn that on, use a different browser (with Java plugin on) or run from command line.

You can start from command line by opening a Terminal window and typing:

Code:
javaws http://bitminter.com/client/bitminter.jnlp

There is also some troubleshooting hints for common problems at http://www.reddit.com/r/bitminter/comments/1c8oiq/troubleshooting_bitminter_client_startup_problems/

The shifts are now ~1h45m, which is a bit longish. Maybe consider reducing the score to 0.3 from the next difficulty increase?

I don't want to adjust that too often. Let's see if we get our hashrate up a bit instead.

I fixed the news display (lower right) on the website, and put in a new RSS feed since Twitter doesn't provide that anymore.

The RSS feed has been tested with Thunderbird and Firefox. Let me know if you have any problems with it.

It's nice that the beta client works with my flashed jalapeno the other one didn't work after the flash...............

Yeah, the problem was an incompatibility with the new BFL firmware. BitMinter client 1.4.1 is now out and works well with this firmware.
