OKE. It's running again!

Yep - I've been automatically failed over to a different pool for at least 15 minutes now. Bitminter pool is in trouble.

Looks like it was a short outage at Black Lotus. Everything ran incredibly slow and I could barely load their support website.

Seems OK again now though.

EDIT: I spoke too soon. Still instability with their network.

Server seems to be down. I'm not getting any new work and the live stats page on the website isn't showing any info 

BTC-E was giving Cloudflare errors yesterday also, so may have been a problem at Cloudflare rather than Bitminter.

Currently very slow connectivity to/from mining server. Looking into it.

I just put in a small update for the website, it should take care of the live hashrates not recovering after network issues.

What I am working on for the next updates:

Idle worker notifications are working but need a web interface to activate it. You can send a request using the contact page on the website if you need this sooner and I can set it up for you manually. Same thing goes for if you want less then 20 work submits per minute as your difficulty target. In the future I will even out the hashrate measurements a bit more. Currently you should have the threshold 30% or so below normal to avoid false positives. You also get one email for each worker if several go up or down. In the future I'll have it put info about more than one worker in a single email.

Sometimes the website gets slowed down causing Cloudflare to believe it is offline. I'm looking for the cause of this.

BitMinter client runs fine on BFL 5 GH/s units but with unstable hashrate on singles and minirigs. If you are having problems with this, please come to the chat/IRC for help with setting up another mining client while I work on this issue. That's #bitminter on freenode with a regular IRC client, or go through the chat page under "community" -> "chat" on the BitMinter website for an easy to use web version.

Yeah it's demotivating, but so are long blocks. It's part of the game. I didn't know what stale blocks are exactly. I just mine about a week now.

I think you should leave stales info in. Over the last 20 pages, I counted only 3, 2 of them being in the last few hours, and the next one on page 12, so if anything, there really are very few stales.

No, its good and fair.

Sometimes stale work would have created a block. I think BitMinter is the only pool that shows those "could have been" blocks. Maybe it's better to remove that, as it just has a negative psychological effect.

The webserver is sometimes slowed down, causing Cloudflare to determine that the site is down. I'm looking into this.

I could not log onto the site due to couldflare error's (522?). Pressing F5 doesn't help then either. Usually I can log back on after a few minutes. Total downtime I noticed is maybe just a few minutes as I use the site maybe a few hours a day. I did notice that the site works better (less error's) on my mobile i.e. on pc it's down, but works on my mobile (android 4.1.2 and 4.3 on my tablet)

too bad we had 2 stale blocks now... even with the prepaid perk, you get nothing.

Seems to be some luck involved there as well. I've only got 4-6 of those Cloudflare screens during the same period (and I do F5 often).

I've not been able to get on to the site for more than 2 minutes in the last 12 hours.  It's crap.

My p2pool node has better reliability, and it's running off my home ADSL in a VM.

Why? This does not affect hashing, and you don't need to F5 all the time

More Cloudflare errors.  Wow, if this keeps up I'm heading back to BTCGuild... 

I mine with 120gh/s asic miners, but I have a question... In the block statistics I see a block with status "processing" (2013-08-21 06:24)
what is wrong with that block? is it stale (or will it be?)

11 BE sticks and a few GPUs.  About 8GH.  Small time stuff.  I mostly mine on P2Pool, but BitMinter is my backup pool.
