Hey all, stupid question but curious of your opinions..

I'm wanting to add another 1080ti to my zcash mining rig, problem is I only have a 1000 watt EVGA SuperNova P2 PSU.. Currently each card is running at about ~165 watts (x3) and sitting at just above 600 watts total. Would pushing it another ~200 watts stress the PSU too much or do you think it'll be alright? I planned on running dual PSUs for this rig, I just didn't think I'd be this eager to go with another 1080 ti due to price so soon

You can run 4 x 1080 ti by 1000w PSU in short time for testing but not for long time mining daily.
Take another 1000W PSU for dual PSU you will be safe for rig 6 - 7 x 1080 ti. Good luck Smiley

Imo you should be alright. I am currently running 4x 1080 ti @75% power limit with corsair 1200w psu, the wattage power only shows ~830w on load. But not advisable to run at higher power limit as it can easily reach 900w, be reminded that the efficiency for platinum grade psu is around 90%....

i want to buy some mining equipment what do you suggest buy x11 or scrypt equipment ?

This thread is about mining using Nvidia 1080 ti.

I'd suggest doing some research and ask your questions somewhere else more appropriate

Any Recommendations for Intensity on Skein algo on Hashrefinery, using CCminer Alexis and default intensity is 27.. Would any different number improve it?
Heres my stats; sometimes I get 5-7% rejections, changed difficulty from 0.8 to 4 based on recommendation of hashrefinery owner and rejections went down from 25% to around 5-7%
http://pool.hashrefinery.com/?address=1LoZQEpppUi66JMyhi92xzV3Kvk9C9GizL

Where do you live? In case you live in Europe hashrefinery is based in the USA. I think issue is somehow related to high pings.

I don't know how to post the image. My bad. However, if you click on the image and then click again it'll increase the size.

It says "Zpool-unknown" is that normal?

1-whattomine is always showing correct amounts if you know how to use it. I always forecast my upcoming payment amount by using whattomine. Just as i wrote be sure to not to become paranoid by everytime changing your mining coin because you will earn 0.001 $ more. Be clever and analyze carefully. Don't change your coin so frequently. This is long-term run. Hit nd runs are so much rare and needs luck factor, dont fell for them.

Am I blind or something? Where's Skein or Nist5?

you're blind ;-)

Was on Skein via hashrefinery last 4 days. Profit was near 4.8$ per VGA (really no bad), but the last 24 chart shows significantly decreasing in earning.  Huh The previous coin was SIGT, but won't mine it anymore after halving (will keep my coins for future). What would you suggest to mine?

whattomine is not complete, they dont have all algo's.
You can check by selecting one coin, sometime its displayed on the GPU PART. Select the "Coins" Tab, rigt of "Asic"

Im using ccminer alexis78. I was under the impression it was the best. When i cut it back to the same clocks as you have with this miner it only gives me 865h/s. Do you think i just have a slow/duff 1080 or would changing to a different miner or different drivers help up my hashrate a bit?

thanks

Try change miner and see if any difference.

Seems odd if it could differ that much from diffrent brands of 1080ti cards. Unless its the FE versiom you using?

No ive not got the FE version. Ive got the kfa2 extreme overclock version. Im going to try a different miner and see if i can up the hashrate. Its not a major big deal since its only the one 1080 i mine with but maybe after a few months it will start adding up.

Hello guys,

i am looking for some advise here and hope its ok to ask. Since 10 Weeks i am mining with 6x 1080TI and 6x 1070 gtx. To be honest i was using all the time Nicehash. When i started i got about 0.1 BTC each week from 6x1080ti. Now my results looks like this

6x 1080TI  : 0.03... BTC
6x 1070GTX : 0.016 BTC

Of course i knew that the difficulty increase but i think i am missing/losing some huge profits. What shall i do?
Whats the best pool? Software? Are there some mods what are more profitable?

Thanks!

You can try Winminer.

1-Don't use Nicehash. It sure is easy that they are paying bitcoin directly but usually less profitable.
2-Whattomine website is your friend. Every 2-3 days check there and switch your mining coin according to the results if there is really difference in them. But don't become paranoid and don't change your mining coin every second by looking to whattomine. Stick on one.
3-Open an account on poloinex or bittrexx and mine there. Change to bitcoin directly if you want or play between currencies.
4-Diffuclty increases but prices also increases those days. So profitability nearly the same when you compare before diff bomb of ethereum.. (Of course not as first times when the ROI was 4 months)
5-In lots of pools luck is a factor also. When comparing don't look only data from one two months. Your profit can change -+%x .

whattomine can be extremely inaccurate so dont be surprise if you dont get the same results.
Edit: I wouldnt use Poloniex for many reasons. Just google it.
Advices:

1-whattomine is always showing correct amounts if you know how to use it.
2-f you search google you can find problem in every system as people are the problematic creatures. lovers and haters everywhere. If i were you i will try bymyself and experience them all. Bittrex polonex krakaen and so on. Out off all the best for my experience is polonex.

1- mmm, no, lol and its a well know fact
2- mmm, no, also a well known fact

a hater is always a hater without facts just accusations.
Anyway i am always open to discuss thoughts. But for empty accusations without any proof or without advising another alternative better solutions we can easily conclude the fact that people are problematic creatures:D
Even by myself i had some problems with exchange sites like holding my money for no reason, loosing transactions etc etc.. because they are much more accurate than normal traders in forums i ndidn't stopped using them. As i said minimizing the risks is in your hands.(i stopped saying the brands of those websites hence all are the same +-)

3- Never ever hold so much amount of coin in none of those above exchange websites hence in all their history there was a hack event. Generate an offline wallet backit up 20 times in 20 different places your keys and whenever you want to play exchange play, earn profit and sent it to your main offline wallet back.

4-Learn the technology, read the papers, follow the forums. If you know more it will be difficult to scam you.
