This is a tactic that people have done over and over again and make far more than any coin calculator will ever give you Cheesy

Yeah, and if you are really lucky, the coins will be worth nothing and all your time mining was wasted. Cheesy

You've got to approach it like you're an angel investor and only a certain small percentage of your startups are going to make it, but when one of them does it outweighs the losses from the others by a massive margin Cheesy

Any tips on some of the lower hash rate ones to mine? For now the only real options seem to be zcash,  sigt and maybe a dgb if it's price can recover. It's hard to weed through all the others as there are a lot of shit coins and I'm also not sure what all algorithms the 1080 can mine. Even a list of which algorithms are good to mine with would be helpful.

I made 25 dollars today on SIGT. . . Selling at dirt cheap prices
I mined SIGT for a little while before it halved, and accumulated about 2000 coins.  Then I switch over to Zcash.  Based on your results it sounds like I could get $17.50 per day with 4 1080ti cards?

I was using ccminer palgin and skunk at supernova.  Is that what you use?

Is sigt the most profitable to mine at the moment then? Whattomine is recommending me mine sia today but maybe its just been pumped up slightly. Id rather just mine the most stable coin that i can leave sitting around a while befoore i sell. It seemes most of the popular coins to mine also have the most wild price swings.

You still need to judge for yourself if whattomine's guesses on difficulty and coin profits for the next 24 hours makes sense to you.

Then you should think of prospecting some coins that you can accumulate large quantities of before they hit an exchange.
If something looks promising and you can get 10k, 50k, 100k, or even 1 million coins, and you think it might have value one day, then you can hit the jackpot.

I see where you're coming from zer0k but the inverse correlation between BTC and alts isn't always true; BTC and alts can both rise and fall together or separately.

LoL, from what I see now- is that the only reason people are still making money is -the end "BTC" is still rising in value.

lol if BTC were falling similar to other currencies- no one would be making money other than the pumped up coins- unless we were accumulating.

For example DGB used to be 0.000067 or something and now at 0.000034 - lol - however BTC went from $2k to now $4k - that's insane increase.

It needs to consolidate or else I fear it may come crashing down.

You need to remember if BTC is rising people tend to sell their alt coins to get in on the action.
Whereas if BTC is falling people pull out and then try to make a few $ investing in alt coins.

Rising seas will raise all boats.   Of course as more money comes into BTC it will partially increase the value of all other trading pairs related to BTC.

As long as people are putting more money into the markets than taking it out the value of coins will rise.   We see continuously that even if the price of BTC spikes the BTC value of altcoins doesn't necessarily immediately drop unless people look to cash out.

SIGT, the Z coins, and LBRY are the best so far as I can tell. Also music coin whatever the hell that is

Pls provide info:

What pool and how much EUR/USD at the end of the day.

Why would I need to provide proof?

Use a calculator

They're not even close, or wern't at the time i wrote that anyway on the Tis

I'm not saying it wasn't true. Just wanted to give your pool a chance if the EUR/USD was good.

Don't get offended so quickly. Please, we are all amigos here.

Most stable should be zcash, always $3.5 a day. SIGT is slightly more profitable at $4, but it's very volatile. If it drops 10% before you sell, then it's not much different from mining zcash.

SIGT POW rewards are halving very soon, might be good to accumulate some coins. I set aside 4K coins to sell after halving.

Does nobody bother with mining DGB any more? I know it used to be a rather popular choice for a lot of people but dont see much mention of it these days. I think i may just point my miner to zcash instead since i plan on holding what i mine for quite a while anyway. If i was going to sell immediately then maybe sigt would have been the one to go for.

Can you give a link to the miner you use for SPR?

Who would known  Smiley. Now it's only 6-6.5$ from single 1080Ti. And it's only 25% more profitable than Equihash. SPR had to be mined 3-4 month ago

you need to send him a pm to buy the miner

If you mined a few weeks ago, and didn't dump the coin you got around $20 per 1080ti card per day
