I have 3 1080Ti and i am starting to debate is it still worth buying a 4th 1080ti and i am so tempted to take newegg/bestbuy 0% financing for 12 months to build another rig to mine... and have it pay off the bill directly in 1 year...

any advice on whether to keep buying 1080tis or wait for Vega to drop much appreciated... really hoping vega mining numbers will start coming out soon...

Yeah, i've noticed that CPU fan got dusty pretty soon when I have it open-air, but it could be my storage problem too Cheesy

i bought an antistatic brush and little electric compressor, i go over the machines every 3-4 weeks to keep them nice and clean Smiley

For me I'm keeping all standard PC parts inside case, and have risers pulled out and placed on top of case to have "closed/open-air case" Smiley

Is there a reason to keep the "standard PC parts" inside a case? Just wondering.. Dust?

Idk the FE's are OK, i personally find my MSI 1080ti FE's kinda run hotter than other cards, im prob gonna stick with fanned models personally

Also guys, keep in mind- founders edition card or "blower style" are good for compact PC or small form factor PC

They are good for nothing. If you have a small case, usage of FE inside of it will kill Video Card way faster than at usual rate.

Yeah...mine are good for nothing, I should just throw them in the trash!!

Where is your trash located ? ...just asking for a friend  Tongue

What motherboard is that? I'm just going to be using my gaming motherboard since it can support 3 full length cards. I have 1x1080 and another 1080ti lol both blower style. Eventually I might get a third card.

Nice cards.
Wouldn't you be better off with an open frame rig?

The reason it is a blower style is because it'll direct air towards the back-others will recycle hot air thus keeping the card hotter.

Heat is generating due to current passing-if you are dissipating heat properly -cards will enjoy their life.

Also-Blower style cards are also useful if you want to water cool, however, I highly doubt any miner water cools their card lol

Guys I have an inquiry.

Does the drastic fall in price also mean fall in difficulty ?

Ergo- mining a coin that is getting raped a better proposition?

Well, last days I'be been mining DGB (with recent dump profits is still stable because of diff decrease), SIGT and DNR (because of testing CWIgm miner). Every coin gave me nearly same profit (except DNR towith odds toward SIGT). I'm thinking about switching for some time to Solaris or BitCore, but for Solaris I can't make my miners to start mining longer than 1min, and with BitCore... I don't like coins that have such small rewards , because price violence can screw all your income. With eg. DGB 1satoshi loss means around 600satoshi overall loss, with BitCore 300-400 satoshi loss ends up with 1.5k satoshi loss .

For coins like SIGT and BitCore i dont like suprnova pool - Yea it's stable as no pool around, good pretty fast frontend, but controling 90% of NET hash in SIGT (like it was in past few days) is kinda scary. Not to mention that the more miners in pool, the less revenue You will get in long run. I've been mining SIGT on CWI pool and my income grew from ~30-40 SIGT per card to ~40-60 SIGT (Of course, diff matters too). Still getting little more from smaller pool, but need to count on luck factor more.

Thanks for the tip Smiley

I'm getting PNY 1080ti  and another card in my pc is 1080-

So I'll let the PNY run 24/7 and no output towards display whilst 1080 does gaming and mining when not in use. -So it won't be SLI

The way alt coins are doing right now- the expensive cards will take very long for ROI however, once that's done- they will  make more.

Also guys, keep in mind- founders edition card or "blower style" are good for compact PC or small form factor PC

If you have an open rig then you don't need to get "blower style" -however, I've noticed founders edition cards have a way of staying better in terms of value later in life.

Whats the average hash of the 1080Ti on this XLR algo?

The miner is showing ~80 MH/s for me at 75% power limit

this give only 2$ on whattomine... i know this site is not 100 accurate ..
Well, it's kinda accurate for now. But this coin has a really good chance to double it's value.
Same as Bitcore, you'll get around ~5coins per day by 2x1080ti. Not so good, not so bad, still income = income.

Yeah I calculated ~4 AUD per day for the coin per card. I also think it has a chance to double in value in the near future.
Bitcore wasn't going too well for me, with 2x 1080ti getting ~3 coins over the last 24 hours on Suprnova.
