It seems XLR could be a good option for 1080Ti owners. Let's wait a little bit, all altcoins go down

Seems to have some good profitably potential.

Has anyone work with Lyra2REv2?  I been trying to mine monacoin.  Asicpool keeps displaying much lower number than ccminer2.0.  Not sure what is the correct hashrate.

the correct hashrate is the miner program on your rig, always Smiley   The Pool can only GUESS your hashrate by the stratum diff of the shares you submitted in the last few minutes of time.  Ignore the pool basically, and just go by end of day "coins in hand" and what the miner says.
You can see here for lyra2v2 usual hashspeeds: http://yiimp.ccminer.org/bench?algo=lyra2v2&chip=0

Oh ok thanks.

I believe you for the roi , but not for the 8$ / day.
whats the date of your ti buy ?

It changes... Again, the value of the BTC has to do with it too. Yesterday was only 7 euros, compared to the 7,9 anticipated.
That's still good, right?

1080 Ti was bought on 21/06/17. Why?

just asking. I got mine for free, EVGA 1080TI SC2. And now im planning to buy one, SLI mode. Not only for mining, but for style and power. even if i dont play much as before

Hey guyz , how much dgb toi earn now with on ti ? Now i have only 120 instead of 350 two days before ...

Saw on MPH that someone with a 3 TH/s (3.000 GH/s) farm started to mine DGB... 50 times faster than the second fastest miner on the pool list. It more than tripled the total pool hashrate.

Might be the reason for the huge difficulty bump.

Looks like it made DGB at least twice as hard to mine temporarily.

I'll save everyone some work. The coins giving "more" profit are Solaris and Signatum. BUT, it's a iffy profit because the pools are not reliable in the short term and small miners.

I hate people "hiding" their game, it's childish

heh, heh, i think you need to look up some terms Cheesy   Try:
-PoW
-Game Theory
-Nash Equilibrium

not "hiding your game"  is whats considered a "zero-sum game" with PoW coins, THATS why people generally dont say what their mining publically Cheesy
Hehe, don't worry, it's something only vets really know, as most bought rigs not even knowing what crypto was, i understand Cheesy

Everyone knows...Some of us just feel uncomfortable taking knowledge then not giving it out

This is a small place. . .

edit - just imagine what this place would be like if everyone applied game theory. It would all be lies and shilling no truth to be had anywhere in anything mining related...

It would be terrible

Tahts true, it WOULD be horrible Sad   luckily even tho many people here are quite abrase, most of us still like sharing knowledge Smiley

There are a ton of lurkers just reading messages and not contributing though, not sure if they are newbies or they just don't want to help anyone but themselves.

Prob both Cheesy  This thread has more new users then long time forum vets, it's intresting to ask WHY?  lord knows more vets here own 1080ti's
Oh, wait, the game theory...  Cheesy hahaha
Meh, people are people!

To the personal asking about brands , there IS a difference sometimes.  ASUS turbos are underperformers from my experience, while my zotac extreme is just a beast, OCs to the moon, never crashes, has highes OOB hashes of ANY other brand i have tested

the difference is mainly the hardware used. For example, simple TI from EVGA dont have the same cooling system as the FTW3 .
So you can O/C more depending the model you have. In my opinion, the ASUS cards are too expensive for what they offer

My Asus 1080 Ti Strix Gaming 11GB was 900 euros. If the bitcoin will keep todays value and diff (of the altcoins) will not increase the next months, I will reach ROI for my GPU in 112,5 days. That's pretty good I think.
Or still you don't believe me?

Hello 1080ti users  Smiley

Is there big difference between "cheap" 1080ti (like Pallit FE, Asus Turbo) and "expensive" 1080ti (Asus strix, Asus ROG) for mining ?

The cheapest 1080ti that I can found in store is the Asus turbo.

What are you guys mining ?

Thanks

I mine whatever algorithm is paying more when exchanged to bitcoin. At this time there's only 2 algos that work for me. I choose pools where I can auto-exchange to bitcoins.

No idea about the different kind of 1080s. I think the difference might not be that huge. It also depends on what software you use. You will need to do some testing and tweaking.

On some pools you can see statistics from other users, like these:

http://yiimp.ccminer.org/bench?chip=387
http://yiimp.ccminer.org/bench?algo=skein
http://yiimp.ccminer.org/bench?algo=nist5
http://yiimp.ccminer.org/bench?algo=quark
http://yiimp.ccminer.org/bench?algo=x17
http://yiimp.ccminer.org/bench?algo=x11
etc etc

You will need to do some homework. PM me if you need more help.

Thanks for your answer, it's seem that yiimp have some great tools to check Hashrate but also to check profit for each algo.

I will try with that... let's see how it's goes:)
