For me there are many coins to invest for a long term period of time but first you need to have a keen check of that coin before you are going to trade. Because sometimes we cannot hit our goal in trading because we fail on the coin we invested in so we must make a careful study for it. I think that It is also right that if you split your money in different crypto because if one drops the other will rise and you will be safe. But if you invest in one currency you may lose your investment

All investment is risk, there is still a chance that you will lose your money in investment, because no one can tell what will happen in the future. I think it is safe to invest your money to more than one coins so that when one of your investment does not succeed you still have other coins that can return what you have lost from your other investment. None of the existing coins can be 100% safe. every coin's price goes up and down, and if you start panicking and sell at low, you lose

Which is a safe coin to invest in the long term?
How long should I hold it?

Is there a risk that I might lose it all?

I am a noob in cryptocurrencies. Help.  Huh

I was thinking Litecoin, is it a good idea?

I think put it on Ethereum if you don't want to loose your money but if you have a knowledge about crypto then you know what coin and also what you need to do.  Just put it on popular because I think in the near future, it will rise and it is good opportunity now because too many coin dump and it is good to invest because you can gain more profit.

I would not invest such a large amount in one project, then it's better to buy half of this money for myself a coin from the top10, which is already clearly time-tested and definitely will not disappear, and the rest will be invested in new coins.

You should go with VR stuff that will explode, i would split my funds between Vibe (All time high 3+ usd, now 32cents and many development updates waiting for this quarter) and Spectiv (just two months after ico ending, spectiv has very bright future with their VR advertisments etc).

Choose 5-10 good coins and invest in them. I would choose Neo, Stellar and ETH. Maybe I could have bought a couple of new ones.

You are right, that there should be top coins in portfolio. But they will not make much profit.

There is new token Shivom (OMX) (the token is on two exchanges: CoinBene, Kucoin). They very quickly achieved hardcap ($35M) and now their token
it has fallen in price, as recently bounty hunters have received their tokens.

Part of the money I suggest investing in ico. In which? Look at my signature, read the white paper. As long-term investment is a very good option.

The best portfolio (IMHO):

- tokens/coins form top 10-15
- young tokens that are on the exchanges
- ICO

it is very risky to turn your money in crypto at the moment, but if you are very decidited of doing it so, the best thing that you can do is just put 30% on bitcoin, 30% on ethereum and the rest on other coins like NEO and stellar

investing with litecoins is a good idea, but you should not be 100% using your capital just for litecoin investment. ethereum also has good potential.
Bitcoin is the best coin and i think you should put your $12k  in bitcoin because the value of it now is very cheap now but i am sure that in the future the value  of bitcoin can became very high so for me just buy a lot of bitcoin and hold it for a year.

Not it's a good time to buy at long. Take 10 coins which are now at top 10 and buy it in equal proportions. You can buy BTC more like 20% and hold it as well. For this money buy Paper Wallet and hold all your coins there to prevent loses. I hope you gonna earn a lot with my advice.

Maybe at that moment, any famous coin you buy will be corrected at this time. But for now maybe any famous coin you buy will be profitable in the future.

One of the safest ways to invest in cryptocurrency is that you have to research the bitcoin or altcoin you will invest. If you think litecoin is safe for you to invest, invest in litecoins, cause you know it. I think that makes the investment unsafe is you invest but don't understand the character you are investing.

It is a good strategy. But if you are planning to depend upon the crypto-review sites, then I would warn you to be careful. Because I have seen most of these sites giving out biased reviews, especially favoring some of the little known alts.

before you really want to invest in cryptocurrency, make sure your heart first whether or not it is sure, because cryptocurrency is very fluctuate, if you suffer losses so many ula your money will be lost.

if money of that size should be careful use it, just choose Ethereum safe and much in the interest by the people.

Such big money needs to be invested in something that you can be sure of. For example, in new and all the necessary technology. The REMME project, for example, is developing a technology to increase the security of human accounts on the Internet. And using this technology will be even more convenient than using passwords

for a beginner you should learn more about investing but long term investment is a very good option but you should know if all investments have risks and I recommend you to invest ETH, XLM, ADA and NEO

First of all, if you are going to invest, then it would be nice for you to understand for yourself what are the crypto-currencies, to try reading the white papers of projects, to read the forum. There are many advisers here, but the quality of their recommendations may not be too high.

To buy coins and invest them in the long run, I will choose ethereum, waves, and NEO. From the developments, I see waves and NEOs have great potential to increase their prices, and their prospects are also good enough to be valuable coins and a great community in the future. It would be very beneficial for all of us if our money is invested into Waves and NEO starting now.

If a beginner then learns first about the good investment long term and short term. understand the risks that there is not a safe place for investment. regarding what to invest try ethereum, bitcoin, EOS, and NEO. do not be focused on one capital alone because many cryptos that potentially could be successful and it's a shame if any stone unturned.

You need to find a coin that has a great potential but has now fallen in price due to the general recession and low volumes of trades. I propose to pay attention to Remme. Very interesting project, authentication without password verification for people and devices. I expect growth of 2-3 times in the near future.
