You're welcome Wink

 Cry

you hopped off my node... boohoo please come back.

I'll be back with more TH when I get more EU Rentals... I've got some US based rentals now and luckily those TH on my node were just in time to get me that block... and the merged mining rewards (such as they are).

ah no worries! i agree, no point pointing US rigs at an EU node!

best luck cracking the next block mate!

The next few blocks should be pretty juicy, full of Bitmain S3 transactions.  People are buying them up at 10, 20, 30 at a time...

indeed... some of that BTC being chucked around for that purpose; is my own   Cheesy

WANTED: Active dev to fix & re-write p2pool in C
lol at all the bigmouths who are now quietly admitting that it's the hardware that's incompatible with p2pool, not the other way round.

You sound much more intelligent & grown-up in the press thread. Please go back there.

That's just a sad statement. If you have nothing constructive to spout, please don't bother. Some people here are actually trying to do something about it.

Idiot.

I think you are just throwing bad money after good if you send him any more donations.

The bounty will only be paid if the new Ants are playing well with p2pool by July 25th, otherwise it will be returned to donators...

I think you missed the main point of my post...  The evidence suggests that forrestv is simply not able to fix the problems.  If I understand your bounty correctly, it can only be collected by forrestv or his 'representative'.  This restriction pretty much assures failure.  There may be someone out there who can fix the problem, and who would be motivated to do so by your bounty - but I feel confident that that person is not forrestv.  These problems are not new, and I'm pretty sure if he could fix them, he would have already done so.

I would be happy to be proven wrong, but I am not holding my breath...

I agree 100% with the main point of your post, however the problems this bounty attempts to address are not the big challenges p2pool faces.

The goal of the bounty is for S2 & S3 compatibility with p2pool, not the larger problems of variance/share diff for smaller miners.

The news from Bitmain sounds promising, hope they can address it.

The bounty is now up to BTC1.01.

This bounty expires July 25th and will be paid to Forrest if he (or his designee) comes up with a fix or returned to donators...

If you would like to see a working solution for the new Ants from Forrest please contribute and show that we are willing to pay for work completed.

Once this bounty is complete (July 25th), I would be happy to set up another better structured bounty to address the bigger problems of variance/share diff. The challenge as there is currently no known solution will be to structure it properly and establish criteria for receiving the reward.

Watch out for the "Neg-Rep-Dogie-Police".....
Reserved for updates and FAQ

1. Will S3 support p2pool?

The simple answer is we will. Bitmain has a very sincere interesting with p2pool, and we have invest human resource into this area. Sadly our firmware may not be able to give you a firm yes that we support p2pool right now, but we promise we will contribute much more to the p2pool mining idea than most of those who support p2pool mining well already.

For the short term, our core developer has already been looking into the p2pool problem. We think we might be able to solve it in another week or two.

OK!!!!   Now we're getting somewhere guys!!!!!

What is TRC?  *boggle*

isn't that the short for terracoin?

It shouldn't be - this is the BTC Pools board.

Oh, sorry for mentioning TRC, I tought this is P2pool board. I guess I was wrong then.
