i don't think you're understanding what i'm saying.
I'm not claiming the player who did this 15k selloff is the owner of that wallet.

Sorry, you are right, I misread your post.

 Grin

In this case your hypothesis is quite valid.

My theory is the player already had at least 15k btc in mt. gox.   And the transfer of 100k btc from that address made him think it was a good time to spark a panic.

Funds sent to market exchange accounts are split in smaller amounts.

The amount transferred is still intact.

My theory is this player was someone attempting to cause a panic with 15k coins (12642 + 2358).  The attempt failed and now hes screwed.

If in your theory the player is the owner of the 1DkyBEKt5S2GDtv7aQw6rQepAvnsRyHoYM address, then you are wrong.

His funds did not reach the market, yet...

EDIT: it may turn out to be a smart move, u never know with a market full of amateurs.  I think people are starting to catch on though.

Inducing panic right now is a bad plan. The market just had a very bullish weekend under the circumstances and a very bullish Monday. Any drop will be filed under "correction" and there will be a strong rebound.

Pirate is a horrible trader IMO. Anything is possible with some trading noob that holds 500k BTC.

AMAZING!

WOW!

You think Pirate40 is behind every move in the market! I am sorry, but this is funny and stupid!

 Grin

There are countless users trading in the market, mainly outside Mt.Gox BTC/USD scope.

Its just speculation Tongue lol

this was a mini "bullish crash."   It makes me even more confident we will hit $12 by 11pm pst.   as you can see, the player that made that sell-off was hoping to cause a panic in order for him to get cheap coins later. After the 12642 btc sell-off, he left his remaining 2358 btc wall at $10.65 for about 2 minutes to see if the market would panic but he realized that it was just getting bought into and moved it back to $11.55.

this market is getting smarter.

My theory is this player was someone attempting to cause a panic with 15k coins (12642 + 2358).  The attempt failed and now hes screwed.
