My understanding is that they claimed they were under new management but that was a lie as they tried to take steps to repair the damage to their reputation (but please let me know if I misunderstood that part).

Without a doubt they are advertising in various places including prominent websites and those with a high visitor counts therefore they have funds to maintain that momentum but since they have lost hope of doing anything here maybe they will focus all their efforts elsewhere. Imagine what goes through the mind of someone that deposited funds and won a mid-large amount of money only to be told their account was now frozen as they were suspected of cheating but were not being told anything else and were not given the chance to defend themselves.

They might have been genuine when they made that message, but within 10 seconds the criticism started and they likely said fuck it, we aren't gonna be able to do anything on this forum.

They took they advertising elsewhere. I've seen their banners a few places. Everyone on here mostly knows they're a scam company, but there are so many out there that may not be a part of this community, those are the ones who are not safe as they have no idea what's in store for them.

They last had activity here in May 2023. What happened to their promises of a fresh start? Did they even resolve anything when they claimed to be trying to resolve scam allegations against them?

It seemed their sole reason for coming back to the forum was to lure new victims into the scam.  They made some attempts with signature campaigns and other promotions, but there were reports and evidence that a good chunk of the folks apparently taking part were in fact fake accounts.  So we can surmise the whole thing was likely bogus and  similarly hollow was their announcement about making right all the disputes and embarking on a new honest path moving ahead. All lies!

They still have a lot of fresh player even though they have a bad reputation in the forum before this thread was created. So I really doubt that their purpose on creating this thread but maybe you’re right for the future plans in case this works which never did.

1xbit is still very popular outside the forum because I always saw their banners and some of our local streamers still promoting this casino to our country. 1xbit is only popular scammer here in Bitcointalk but I’m not sure if other forum have the same overview on this casino. There’s a history before that this kind of redemption plan turns successful like Bc.game and Betcoin.ag after solving all the pending accusations against them.

What do you consider the probability that there are also different lookalikes of 1xbit (and 1xbet) ran by different groups? They have a lot of marketing pull in the underground so it wouldn't surprise me if people tried to make a quick buck by making their own clones the way how other phishing/scam sites work.

They are liars man, they haven't completed their promises, they came here only to give fake hope to us in order to get a few more players from the forum.

I think they also launched their campaign around that time if I remember it correct and a few members who were accepted in their campaign got red tagged.

They found that it's not going to be helpful to promote their casino anymore on this forum and that's why they totally give up on this forum.

Do you know if they were banned from blockchair.com, or simply replaced by the ads of a service provider who pays more? It surprised me when I saw advertisements of 1xbit in several top crypto websites like myetherwallet or coinmarketcap: it is obvious the great financial muscle they have allocated for marketing.

Nope. I don't know if they were banned or simply decided not to advertise on those platforms. I believe it's the 1xbit who decided not to continue advertising on those platforms. Because myetherwallet or coinmarketcap does not really care what are they advertising. All they want is money. But coinmarketcap getting bigger and they taking a bigger spot too.

They started advertising on tv media and started sponsoring big tournaments. They taking spots on cricket teams jersey to get maximum attention from potential gamblers. Who knows? We may see another big budget starting in January 2024.

Haven't seen any ads for your scam site for a while now!
Not on BitcoinTalk, not on any crypto sites.
Let's hope all 1xBit.com scammers got arrested!

Nothing happened. They are still alive and their website is live as well. They have many sub-brands like 1xbat etc etc and they sponsor big tournaments now. 1xbat was recently sponsored in the Abu Dhabi T10 league. I do not remember the name of the team. But, Shakib Al Hasan was one of the players on that team. No matter what we do here in this forum. They are still spreading their business and advertisement. They used to sponsor some Youtubers as well. But, yeah, I haven't seen their sponsored video for a while now. Blockchair.com has banner ads too. Nice to see there are no 1xbit ads for now.

On the other hand, at least in this forum exists this open discussion about the company, very critical in overall, which is not the case in all these sites that advertise(d) the casino, so nothing to blame here. My two satoshis.

I have not posted the warning in this thread for some time therefore here it is. All members (especially newbies) are advised to stay away from the 1xbit scammers otherwise they will probably end being scammed at some point in their dealings with them:

New flag against 1xbit1.com as requested by Solosanz: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=3143
Flag supported.

However, this is addressed to @Solosanz. I hope you get this message, mate. Please keep the thread to the reference topic open (don't lock it). You can not create a flag using a locked or self-moderated topic and this is by design, therefore, the topic shouldn't be locked as well after creating the flag

This is what the administrator said

You're supposed to use the link in the flag to link to a topic where the flag is explained in detail and people can discuss it, not to the topic where the person was scamming. For discussing the flag, selfmod or locked topics would not be ideal. If a topic doesn't already exist about a scam, create it yourself before creating the flag.

It's either a troll or a scammer trying to impersonate a scam  Grin. Nothing about 1xbit surprises me anymore.

It's funny that the 1xbit profile meant to solve issues has been silent since November 28, 2022, only to wake up today to just say that they are not affiliated with the new profile.
I think they just being silent for around 4 months because they're tired to respond every complaint towards them, because based on his profile, he's not woke up from long period activity.

It's suspicious that the the official account woke up after a long period of inactivity, but this could have simply been a previous signature participant (or otherwise) notified the official account that there was another user claiming to be from 1xbit. Then it would explain why the official account came back simply to clarify that 1xbit1.com is an impersonator... at least that does make "some" sense for why the account would wake up.

I just too quick before the real 1xbit speak out if the user has nothing to do with them.

That's fair enough, as I said I didn't doubt that the flag could have been relevant initially, just not anymore.

The fact you're wrong for saying 1xbit1.com is different site with 1xbit Tongue

Feel free to have a giggle at my expense! I'm ok with being wrong from time to time, nobody is perfect here  Wink
You get used to it on here when there's always someone else with more knowledge to provide...

When did 1xbit is an exchange? you're leaving incorrect comment Tongue

I don't understand your English, sorry. Maybe you can rephrase the question as to how the feedback is inaccurate?
Please correct me where you believe I've made a mistake, as seems like accurate use of negative feedback to me:

Will happily improve it if you think it's inaccurate somehow... am always open to criticism!

Edit: Worked out what you meant, thanks for pointing that out, have corrected! Wasn't the only one to make the mistake lol.

But I've realized I need to go back with trust flags I've created before since some of them have been resolved. The incorrect reference trust flags is just a slight mistake and doesn't create a bigger problem, but I know mistake is a mistake and I need to correct, I just need some free time.

Glad to hear it! As reminder though, incorrect trust flag reference links aren't a slight mistake, it's a major one:

If someone knowingly supports a flag containing incorrect fact-statements, then that is crystal-clear abuse

Anyway this thread isn't for discuss my trust flags, you're just looking on my mistake Tongue

Aside from the trust flag against 1xbit1.com that I think directly relevant to this thread - and that you'd already withdrawn I noticed - then this isn't about other flags of yours I agree  Smiley

Lol Cheesy

Now it's clear he's just impersonating the real 1xbit, but both of them are scammer, the difference is just the way they scam. I agree with you. Trust flags should have correct reference links just in case there is a dispute in the future or when there is someone who has never been in the forum but may want to make a follow-up in the future.

We mostly create these feedback and flags because we hope that some newbie or guest user may come across the warnings, try to follow up and get convinced that the culprits should indeed not be trusted. Now, just like the trust feedbacks and flags, if the reference links are not accurate. It defeats the whole purpose of the trust system.

Edit: But also at a glance, you can clearly see how 1xbit.com is diffferent to 1xbit1.com right I hope? I'ts a clear scam link...
I think it's a mirror link of 1xbit.com
I have seen it several times before. Maybe the person trying to impersonate ran out of usernames to use as 1xbit have so many user profiles here that have been tagged before.
1xbit_official said the address is correct in this quoted post.

Again changed and cant login. Im trying to login in the link 1xbit1.com . Is this link correct?
(1xbit.com) In this one i cant even enter in the web as it says "Error the web cant be displayed)
The address is correct, i've asked my colleague from security to double-check if everything is alright.
There are restrictions placed on your account.

Thanks for pointing that out, have corrected my post. This being a legitimate mirror link could well make the situation worse in regards to the trust flag, especially for newbies who have already been scammed by 1xbit.

As an example:

User get's scammed by 1xbit.com (website) and posts on bitcointalk -> 1xbit1.com (user) offers support/refund -> User "verifies" it's 1xbit from trust flag reference -> Get's scammed again by 1xbit impersonator.

There are good reasons why flags containing incorrect reference is clear abuse of the trust system. Worst case it can actually give cover for scammers to scam even more it turns out!

If someone knowingly supports a flag containing incorrect fact-statements, then that is crystal-clear abuse, and I will seek to have such people removed from DT ASAP. People who are habitually wrong, even not knowingly, should also be removed.

In summary.

Two days after being removed from DT2 (for now*) for inaccurate use of trust flags, the response to this has been to create another flag without correct reference, as opposed to respond to any criticism or make corrections. I'm starting to think this user is simply trying to troll the trust flag system, test it's limits perhaps, get other DT members removed, rather than having any genuine interest in preventing scammers... Fortunately no DT members have fallen for this latest attempt so far (easy mistake to make I think), but even so, remains concerning. *Solosanz will likely be "part-time" DT2 in the future, this is what makes it troubling still...

Bump!

There's a new account claimed if they're now become a new management of 1xbit and want to solve all of the problems. But take a look with @OP, where he was give a promise to solve all the problems before, but his account currently receive 28 negative feedbacks which mean everyone still think 1xbit is scam including me.

Either he's trolling or phishing scammer, I don't really care. The victims of 1xbit scammer need to be careful for not trusting a newbie account, however don't have a high hope if they will solve your problem too.

Have left negative feedback as clearly this user is impersonating 1xtbit, which in itself is a scam exchange. Credit to robelneo for highlighting this with feedback that included an accurate reference link.

Your flag is (again) inaccurate though. It references the 1xbit reputation topic (that user 1xbit1.com has nothing to do with) as opposed to the clear reference of impersonation.

I don't doubt that it could have been relevant initially though, before the user was clearly identified as an impersonator, rather than associated with 1xbit.

Edit: But also at a glance, you can clearly see how 1xbit.com is diffferent to 1xbit1.com right I hope? I'ts a clear scam link... (see below)

Would happily support a flag with the correct reference link, as provided in the trust feedback  Smiley
