In nowadays reality I guess the best potential have Ethereum, especially January will be hot month for ETH. Also BTC and, maybe EOS too, are very trusted crypto.
I have got have $2000 to invest and I am planning to invest it into stellar, ripple, ethreum or else half the amount in but coin and remaining half in newly launched ICO. Which one would be a better option?
I think its better to put it in ranked coins and altcoins like Btc and eth to have a big chance of profits and hodl it for long term until the price you invested doubled. New ICOs nowadays are full of scam and some are not capable of funding their project that results to termination. It is more wise move if you put it in sure. if you want to bet seriously and get a lot of profit you can buy half of your money for ripple and another half for ICO.
but if you are not afraid of failure you can invest everything in the ICO

You should divide your money and invest into many different cryptocurrency. Most promising coin to buy now is Ethereum, its highest price in the past was over $1k3 and it's $100 now, worth to buy for long term investment. Other promising coins are EOS, XRP, ADA.

$ 2,000 is quite a lot, you can divide it into several options, but don't forget btc, xrp, eth and tron, all four have good fundamentals and are cheap for now
I think this investment is the best choice, you can buy your favorite coin and invest it, choose the best coin in crypto because it is clear and profitable to make an investment in the future
If you invested in July probably your all investments would be in decline right now lol. If that's not the case, I'd suggest to invest in steem, enu.
$2000 is not a very small amount. need a good investment in the election in order not to lose the capital times. Choose ICO to invest I think in time it is not too good because even many ICO falls when they entered the market. may choose a coin that was already big and has a name can become a better secure decision made.

In spite of this bearish market but still it is good to invest in crypto as you chose the top ranked cryptos which are proven for long term investment. Today is the time to buy as the prices of these top coins are more affordable to purchase than before and regarding ICO then as long as you will choose the best ICO that are legit and have a feasible commodities then join them and go for the bonus.
investing in ripple and stellar is a good choice for me because ripple and stellar prices are currently more stable than ethereum and if you want to invest in just 1 coin, it is better to choose ripple because ripple will have a price of at least 2 $ if xrappid launched .

The top 10 coins might be good choice at this point. You can as well carry out some research in the crypto market for a viable coin to buy. Sometimes, you might be fortunate to even get a good one from coins far below.
