My first choice when investing into crypto will always be bitcoins, but if you feel you have enough bitcoins and want to try to earn more bitcoins with altcoins then I would go after crypto project in top 50 on coinmarket cap.
Going after top 50 from the coinmarketcap is a stupid idea. For example, investing in XRP is nothing but a stupid idea since it's centralized. There's some more coin in the market like those. I would never invest on these.

With this capital we can have many portfolios or just want to target a coin, but my first suggestion is the biggest asset for allocation is bitcoin. because the overall movement is influenced by this coin and we must have it. then we can do research on which projeck is suitable for your investment.

I have got have $2000 to invest and I am planning to invest it into stellar, ripple, ethreum or else half the amount in but coin and remaining half in newly launched ICO. Which one would be a better option?
In my opinion, at this time you should choose to invest in the top coins such as stellar, ripple, ethereum. Investing in ICOS will be very difficult to make a profit because most 90% of ICO now fail. Only a few ICOS have the potential to grow but it will be very difficult for you to search and identify.

At least 50-70% in safe coins
Investing half the amount in newly launched ICO is pretty risky

For new ICO, i would maximum put 20%, even if they are really good and genuine
Especially with project nowadays, they valuated their own project too high which their token couldn't really catch up in their ICO price
Well, in my opinion it depends on a person ability. If you are quiet expert at trading and know how to gain profit at bear market then you should not play too safe. However, you are a new to trading activity and not really sure how to make profit then it's good to play safe by only invest on Bitcoin or other long-term coins.

Why you are not investing your money on bitcoin and Ethereum? Bitcoin and Ethereum are most popular and strongest coin in the crypto currency world. If you invest on it, you will be profitable and your money will be in safe. So don't choose dead or scam project. Try to find our best medium to increase your money. Bitcoin and Ethereum will be best choice for you. Don't miss the opportunity and $2000 is enough for your investment. Happy earning!
BTC and ETH is a good option,  I agree with you. I have given a merit just because you mentioned BTC and ETH here unlike others mentioning shit altcoins. Thank you.
However, investing into those only will give less return than some other altcoins although the risk here is low as well.

If I had $ 2000 in my hand, I would be investing in crypto coins like tezos, ripple, stellar right now. Of course, another block that can be considered for investment in the BNB that passes through its blockchain network.

Right, invest in cheap coins or prices below $ 1 is certainly better and promising because it is easier to rise up to 10x, besides investing on new listed coins of course also good to be used as daily trading.
The coin price is not important than its market cap in my opinionş Promising coin have a good future but small market cap coins are dangerous compared to the appreciated alternatives.

In my opinion if I have $ 2000 and more I will invest in BTC, ETH, BNB, LTC, EOS, and BCH These are the promising coins in which I will be able to double the amount which invested in them, Because they are among the best coins this year and and every time their prices will increase, I am not a supporter of the idea of investing in newly launched ICO Because it takes a lot of time to choose a good project with strong and desired products from the public, Also many of the projects now are only scam in the time of the bear market.

I am fully confident that now the most profitable solution is to invest in the purchase of Ethereum and Ripple. These are proven and reliable coins that have already confirmed their huge development potential. I also invest part of the money in the purchase of Waves, EOS and Bitcoin.
agree with you even now I also have approximately $ 2000 in ETH. well, but, in the form of XRP, I think I'm still thinking about collecting assets in that form, even though the XRP is actually one of the best coins I know.

it is now a bear market. I prefer to put 50% of my money on Bitcoin. it is the most reliable. 20% of the money is placed on the ether. 10% of the money is placed on NEO. The rest is placed on top of the ICO.

isn't that too much? $2k is not big capital you know, and holding lots of altcoins is not a good idea for me. maybe I will only buy Eos, ETH
and ripple. and the development of that coin is pretty good lately..

I think the investment made by us needed to be multiple investment because in this situation I don't have any trust about a single in this. So I definitely spit my investment like 6 parts and made investment based on today's situation.

I think $ 2000 is a good start for investing in crypto, I suggest buying 20% bitcoin and 80% ethereum for ICO and IEO invests. at first I only invested around $ 350 to buy bitcoin and I used it for cloud mining and ICO, unfortunately I got a lot of scams from cloud mining and got big profits from ICO.

I would invest this amount in a few coins. But I'm not ready to take much risk now. I choose only reliable projects. For example, NEO, Ripple, Eth. It seems to me that these coins bring a stable profit. But it will not be a very big profit.

You can buy any altcoins that have good value now in market. It's hard to suggest to buy to new coin that start to launch because you will know if that coin will have a future will having a value in the market. I prefer to buy ethereum and bitcoin.

In my opinion. $ 1500 for BTC, and $ 500 for ETH. in bearish market conditions, I don't want to try investing in unpopular coins or ICO coins. it's very risky. new coin is more dominant to create a dump. and finally has no value in the market

A stable investment might look like 50% BTC, 30% ETH, and 20% EOS. Also I might invest only $1500 immediately and save the rest for price drops. This is not trading advice, just my opinion.

Of course, I will choose to invest in potential coins such as ETH, TRX, XRP, ADA, EOS, NEO. At this time I did not choose to invest in ICO because it was too risky.
