The fork issue is a distraction. It won't kill bitcoin. The majority will eventually choose what fork they want to use, whether it is the original, or XT, or some third option.

I see the fork issue as silly infighting which only hurts bitcoin. I want bitcoin to succeed, that's what I care about, not what version of BTC I use. I will go with the majority, whichever fork is chosen.

The planned increase in the interest rate the Federal reserve can have a positive effect on the course or negatively. At first time it may hit the stock indices, gold and bitcoin. Therefore, I would not dare to call next year the year of bitcoin.

In this expecially it will be great year for bitcoin because price will be high after halving may be double the rate of current rate. Many companies are adapting bitcoins in their business. It would be really fine and successful year for bitcoin

Yes I think also like that bitcoin will be increased gradually. It is characterized by the exchange rate of the bitcoin currency to rise. If it often happens gradually bitcoin prices will soar and use bitcoin will increase.

It's good to be positive but we should not expect too much.
Yes we will some great features implemented and halving will come as well.
But being focused and humble can't be bad. We will also see some downs this year.
Bitcoin always has been a rollercoaster and a soap opera regarding it's most known people.Never forget that!

If we see this year just in context of price rise then too this is year of Bitcoin.We are going to it at new heights in both price and popularity sections.We can see all time high price in this year after halving of blocks to be done.

Year 2016 is most important than ever before because in this year Bitcoin first time will have full chances to grow as it has achieved much last year whether it is related to legislation or recognition so this year is going to take it to further steps towards a stable and bright future.Halving of price surely will put impact on the price and more acceptance and adoption is biggest success at these stages of evolution.

Yeah and also the adoption level, the adoption level is going higher and higher day by day and that is a good sign for the bitcoin community, and we all very much sure that the value of bitcoin would reach to a new level in the year 2016 as more and more people are getting into bitcoins, and it is estimated that the value of bitcoins would reach to a $1000 mark in the coming year.

For me, the key question is more acceptance by merchants. More merchants accept it, more people (inc. me) will use it. The more it's used, the more VC will come in, the more attention and development the whole BTC Ecosystem will get.

Also, if the developers can resolve OK the whole block-size issue without anything scary happening, that would help too.

It's always been the same and will always be the same.
We are seeing the price moving ahead upwards slowly, so every year is a Bitcoin year.

This is why I believe that every year is the year of bitcoin.

As long as bitcoin keep growing and rising, bitcoin should have a good year, overall.
