yes 2017 is the year of bitcoin and 2017 is more successful year for bitcoin and a huge number of people aware about bitcoin and want to be as a user of bitcoin.

yes i agree with that,seems 2016 and next year will be good for bitcoin,the year of bitcoin is coming. start from succesfull project and steam accept bitcoin,this is good step for the begining.I see another thread that bitcoin is the year of bitcoin and i see this thread. I can say the year of bitcoin is this year because the halving event occur on this year and thats very good news and good success for bitcoin enthusiast like us and if in 2017 is have another halving event well i can say its another bright year for bitcoin industry and another earning success to us. I guess 2017 has the potential to put all the scalability crap behind us. That's a biggie and the way will be a lot clearer. Other than that I can't really think why it's going to be a wonderful year but I'll wait to be surprised.

Don’t know about 2017 but 2016 is really the year of bitcoin, as in this year bitcoin has got a lot of success also the halving is occurring in this year, with that a lot of people are adopted to bitcoin.I think that around October it will be safe to say if halving was good for bitcoin market or mess things up.
The most people are hoping that Bitcoin will have that year a nice year of Bitcoin and that must be because the value around this time is not even that high and many people dont like it.
But maybe the value will be higher and that should be perfect for the people that is already using Bitcoin.

Many people don't like it? Where have you heard that? As far as I know the sentiment haven't been better than right now. People are happy and excited the price has gone up nicely.

2017 could be the year of the bitcoin. We will have the SegWit implemented, the 2MB block size will also be there.
In 2017 one year after years of halving occurs maybe the beginning of change in bitcoin if followed by that users began to grow and demand will automatically rise. then I will be very happy in that year I'm not too concerned with the "year of bitcoin" I just want high prices and got some benefit from it

Bitcoin will get squished by liquidity like any other assets class out there in 2017.

Then there'll be a new fiasco much like this year. It could be centralization of mining among a few players, since after the halving the only players that could possibly remain are the Chinese - that is if the price doesn't cope up with the difficulty.

i am more interested to see how this year is going to shape out to be like. we are still in early beginning of the year 2016 and there is already all kinds of exciting stuff happening to bitcoin.
