The game of the night is Los Angeles Lakers VS Los Angeles Clippers. I think a very enjoyable match is waiting for us. I'm not going to sleep tonight to watch this game.
I want to see what Kahwi and PG do tonight. I think Los Angeles Clippers will win this game.

This 29 year old, Damion Lee, played very well for the Suns in his debut match for the team, I'm very impressed with him. While it is true that only 11 of his points can be found on the statistics board, it is not enough to prove his worth as a player. He has contributed to the team in many more ways. In total, he played for about 20 minutes on the court. It is quite likely that anyone who has watched him play in this game will agree with me that he had a more than decent performance.

I also think that his coordination with the other players on the team is quite efficient. So, the chemistry between the players is going to be positive if he is on the court and able to play well.

When I say "be able to play good", I am really referring to the ability to contribute to the team as a whole. It is not just about scoring more points. In addition, he is the kind of player who can actually provide importance to the team even if he does not score points.
Damion Lee performance was quite incredible and he deserves some credits for the astonished show in the game. I'm shocked by his performance since it's been a long time he display such high-class show. Lee made good maximization of the 20 minutes given to him and proof that he's worthy to start games for the team. He play very well and his teamwork have improved with time, so it's entirely a different story because the coach would want to take a second look at his squad and make some changes and use some of the Players on the bench to start games inother to produce solid results.

Pelicans ready for a deep run this season ? I hope so...because the hype around this team floats in the air for some years now and we haven't saw anything great from them so far.

They are more confident now, you can tell with the way they played, they didn't get intimated by the Nets although that team was a good team having Durant and Irving. With a healthy Zion, I think they will be a tough team to crack as they can attack inside and they have the height to grab that offensive rebounds if they'll miss. Just imagine, Zion using his body to get inside and they also have a Ingram who is a great perimeter shooter.

Pelicans are more than ready to play their best this season. They can do what Memphis Grizzlies did this season. They have a good depth, Larry Nance, Jose Alvarado and Devonte Graham can provide quality minutes from the bench.

I am impressed with Zion Williams in this game. He has shown no rust in his game even though he missed almost a year of NBA. They have an impressive start, and we may expect more from them. It is too early to tell how far they go in the season because it is just the first game, but I like what they are showing. Keep this up, try to avoid injuries and we may see them again in the playoffs. Hopefully farther than a first-round exit. I am curious how far a healthy Zion can carry the Pelicans. Can he carry them to a conference final? Hopefully we see it this year.

Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving aren't the players they are paid for. They also performed poorly during the pre-season. The chemistry in Brooklyn is far from good. If this continues, Kevin Durant will ask for a trade before the All-Stars.

Give Ben Simmons time, he had not played for almost two years, I think. He is very rusty and needs to retrain his muscles into basketball again. Like Jordan when he retired and play baseball, he needs to retrain his body because basketball uses different sets of muscles than baseball. The same case with Simmons, his muscles are still trained to play Call of Duty and need time to get it back to a basketball body again.

Kyrie is still good. He is very athletic and skillful. I do think that if he gets proper coaching, he can be great again. And with Durant on their team, they can be a championship contender. It is his last year in his contract, if he doesn't show that he is still the Kyrie that we used to know, then he may not get another contract next year. So I think he will be a good boy this year and obey his coaches.

Knicks showed some fight but still ended up with the loss at Memphis.  Covered the +4, I know a lot of people took Grizzlies at home only giving the Knicks 4.  Jared Jackson being out was a huge piece for them.  Knicks were getting blowout and when they were on the comeback they owned the paint.  81 more to go, cmon Knicks do something please lol.

And to add, he played 78 freaking games last season.

And in that 78 games last season, he played all as a starting lineup. Still athletic and quick at the current point of his career.

That's why there are some comments that to fully utilize Westbrook, now that LeBron James and Anthony Davis are back in action, Coach Ham should not try to do too many experiments regarding the player's rotation, especially the first squad. Let Westbrook just do the usual.

Actually, Westbrook just become trendy to most people because he was in the Lakers or specifically with LBJ. During the time he was on the Washington Wizards, the level of criticism is not that much compared to when he was signed by the Lakers.

Pairing with LBJ attracts a lot of critics and negative publicities, it's true that during his stay with Wizard he didn't get that much attention,.

Unlike now with his 2nd season with the Lakers, he really gaining lots of attentions something that he needed
not to pay attention, just play the game and be a player that you always be.

It's about handling the pressure coming from those who are trying to distract your focus and show how professional
you are in taking the challenges.

Some people are not still over on Westbrook's new role in his new team, people are still so used to see him handling the ball most of the time and carry the team to make a win. Same reason why he have more critics these days because there's a very high standard that the people made and expected Westbrook to achieve it even if he's not the alpha on the team anymore. They can't accept the fact that he is now a supporting player because LBJ is there as the alpha.

He should just do what he should do because these people are not the ones who will re-sign him if everything goes to the opposite direction. This is his last chance to re-sign because there's no guarantee that there will be some teams in the league who will sign him up if he is already in the free agency.

He always plays decent even back at the Warriors. It's just that, he was not given enough minutes to play and show his skills.
I think it's also credits to Coach Monty Williams, he didn't take him back to the bench when he saw he was having a great night. Some coach will not do that to give way to the star players and earn their rightful minutes per game.
Bench players should learn from this action by Lee. When you are given an opportunity, maximize it as much as possible just like how he did it.

Los Angels Lakers VS Los Angeles Clippers

The Stake odds for this game are 2.90 for the Lakers While 1.44 for the Clippers, Reggie Jackson will be playing but I think for just a short while, or is he 100% OK, Westbrook seems really focused lately but then again I never think if he's going to be consistent now, but the Clippers now have Kawhi Leonard and Paul George for the team but does their chemistry could fit the bill against the Lakers, but for this game, I am going with the Los Angeles Clippers,

These odds for the upcoming game are quite expected, considering the Lakers and Clippers met each other 4 times last season, and the Lakers have never won. So I also expect the Clippers will win tonight. As you said, the Clippers have healthy Leonard, George, and Wall, which means they will be an even tougher opponent for the Lakers. Nevertheless, tonight's game should be interesting anyway.

Yes, it will be interesting to see the Clippers healthy with Leonard back in the line up and so with the new addition, John Wall. Lakers have been struggling in this pre game so maybe it will continue this way with their Los Angeles rivals.

And looking at the odds, the Clippers are favorite so that won't be a problem for NBA bettors.

I'm more interested to see Kawhi Leonard, hopefully he will be healthy throughout this season so that the Clippers have a better chance and not be in the bottom half in the West.

This is a game I’ve been excited about since I saw it on the schedule. I think a lot of us older fans probably can’t even see how it’s possible that so many greats could be on the floor at once. Could you imagine both of these “Big 3s” facing off in a game 10 years ago? The idea would have been crazy back then, but here we are. I gotta say, I’m most excited to see John Wall play. This has got to be the best team he’s been a part of and it’s been a long time since he’s balled out. I hope we get some good highlights and I’m thankful this one is airing on TNT.

I think that Damion Lee was the secret hero of the Suns - Mavericks game despite having only 11 points. Because he played a big role in the win by his contributions to his team in the last moments. He scored important points and his defending Luka Doncic in the last seconds was also important.
He was huge in that game but defensively he cannot stop Luka, let's not overreact though, it's just only one game, he had some big contributions but we are looking for some consistency here, I just like how his teammates trusted him, he should be happy to with his new team now.
Dallas up by 21 points I guess, they gave up that big win, typical Dallas, still hasn't change.
It was a good debut for Lee, he was given decent minutes to play and he really contributed well on his offense,
rotation wise Suns brings everyone on the floor so for Lee having that exposure and the trust from both coaches and his
teammates will add confidence to this former warrior bench player. If he can earn that kind of trust, we might see more
coming from him, talent wise, he really got something to show up.
First half run by the Mavs almost perfectly being executed, but the 2nd half rally of Phoenix snatches the win.

This 29 year old, Damion Lee, played very well for the Suns in his debut match for the team, I'm very impressed with him. Both are good in terms of creating space and make a good basket,

the first game shows a good run with the help of these two offensives players and CJ who also adding the damage.

Like what you mentioned, they are not being intimidated as they continue to take the basket and not to allow the defense to break
their run, from the way they are playing right now, seems that they can go and move to the next round.

As for Luka Doncic I think that he was the most performed player of the game (35 pts, 9 reb and 6 ast). If he was able to score the buzzer-beater in the last seconds it was going to be enough for the win. But the shot fell short there I'm afraid. Mavericks nearly doubled the number of 3-pointers Suns had in this game but Suns still managed to get the win by 107-105. Booker's performance (28 pts, 4 reb, 9 ast) had a big impact on this victory of course.

Luka is one of the best players in the NBA, I think his performance throughout the game was quite good. He scored 35 points and had 9 rebounds, a game-winning performance alone.
But I think he couldn't use the last ball correctly. With only 5 seconds left, they could have played an inward game rather than opting for a fairly far shot, or he could have tried a closer 3-pointer. He trusted himself, but as a result of this trust, they could not win the match

Or they should make a time out to make the right execution, Luka's 3-point shooting is very accurate, that's why he opted for that 3-point shot that settles for 2 points to tie the game. But looking at that shoot, it's not a high percentage shot that's why we criticize him, but it's just one game, they'll bounce back for sure.

The game is over, if they want to make an adjustment, they should do it next time. I thought that Dallas would really win the game because CP3 wasn't even contributing a decent number in that game, but the teamwork of the Suns did kill the momentum of the Dallas as they were a more aggressive in the 4th quarter.

Yes, I understand, it's just that I want to express my opinion regarding the decision he made in that game. I'm not sure if they still have a timeout but if they still have, I think he should trust the coaching staff to design a better play for the team, and not take the game into his own hands.

Quote
Lee was the Hero in that game, he deserve to be the best player.

He was, and he owe that to the Warriors as he won a championship and the kind of training the Warriors have are very effective because they make their players better.

It certainly is, in fact, his choice was not wrong. It is very normal for such a player to shoot 3-pointers at the end of the match, no one is angry with Luka for that. But I think it would have been more accurate if he had used a closer shot. Had they taken a break, they could have drawn a better set.
Only the first game has been left yet, I'm sure they can play better in the next matches Smiley

Luka seemed pretty pissed after missing what could have been a game winner. He was calling for a screen and his teammates ignored him and left him on an island to shoot a near half court shot.
He could've gone near with a deuce and taken it to overtime if only someone helped him out. They made it an isolation play which is not the best play for an expiring time.

Denver Nuggets Nikola Jokic losing composure again. Someone should talk to that guy as whenever his team is on the brink of losing, he is too frustrated and takes out the rage on their opponents instead of his teammates.
The biggest talk today is Paolo Banchero. With a debut in high energy, he is everywhere. From a chase-down block to a high-flying dunk in front of Joseph.
27/9/5 + 2 blocks. They lost but damn that was some performance.
