Looking forward to seeing the NBA season kick things off tonight on TNT. With Ernie and the guys signing long extensions that certainly made them crazy rich,

It's the chemistry of these 4 that really separate them from the rest of the basketball analyst (whether player or not). So it's good to see him back for another run.

I am watching Inside the NBA TNT too and I think fans are really loving the antics of those 4 mostly Shaq and Charles Barkley they have become super best buds because of this, they have known each other and now have closer friends, we all know these two both have bad blood inside the court and if not seeing them on Inside the NBA, will never be the same again, and the segment that I like most was Shaqtin a fool

Yes, just good to see NBA basketball again, we might have to see for the regular season, but at least we have a taste or preview of what the current team is going to offer and who has the potential to win the trophy for his season.

There are other things that badly need support from us and I think that WNBA deserves the utmost support it can get aswell, but It is a good thing that we all now have regular NBA, oh I really miss this as well it's kind of not complete if there isn't a Basketball game that we can watch rather than NBA,

Right now I have missed betting on 2 games The Boston Celtics VS Philadelphia 76ers which ended in a score of 126 - 117 win for the Boston Celtics, and right now the Golden State Warriors VS Los Angeles Lakers which are now in the 3rd quarter of the game and their scores are 87 - 64 as I am writing this post

76ers/Warriors for the bettors. Smiley
If you bet on the 76ers, you lose because the Celtics won by 9 points.
Tatum and Brown scored both 35 points while the trio of Harden, Embiid and Maxey scored 35, 26 and 21 respectively.

I did a quick look on the NBA website, and I saw that all of 76er's starters played at least 33 minutes. I don't know if it's just me, but Coach Doc didn't utilize those bench players that much in this game. Joe Mazulla now got his first win as a head coach and it's a good start for them.

Still waiting for GSW-Lakers. I just hope that Westbrook will not get any bash after this game Cheesy.

Ya, the Celtics played much better than I expected them too. I thought the drama with their coach and hangover from losing the Finals would affect them but they immediately came out swinging. The 76ers actually played better than I expected but the Celtics were on fire.

I’m glad Chuck is defending Westbrook, who is having a great game. The Lakers just don’t play well together. They look a little better with Nunn and Beverly but they’re missing something. It just seems like they don’t really want to win.

I'm watching the Lakers vs Warriors game and so far everyone seems to be playing without any selfishness. Lebron and Westbrook have been on the floor most of the 1st quarter with no issues and Poole and Green appear to have gotten past the punch so far.

I thought it would be a blowout by the Warriors and so far it's an even game. I bet the warriors -8.5, my bet may be in trouble.

*EDIT*

Warriors kicking some ass currently. Up 23 almost the end of 3rd quarter

Really looking forward to seeing the Warriors and Lakers, but I suspect that Golden State will be leaving with the W.

I think the Lakers will have a chance to beat the Warriors if LeBron, Davis, and Westbrook play tonight. It's worth noting that the status of those 3 players is probably. Despite the fact that they will likely play tonight, it's not good for the Lakers in any case because key players already have minor injuries, even though the regular season hasn't even started yet.

I think they’ll all play. Even “Street Clothes” (Anthony Davis). I don’t think they’ve all played together in enough games to be able to handle the champs though. They just aren’t there yet.

How about that move by Harden that broke Marcus Smart’s ankles and sent him flying across the court? Probably won’t make the highlights because he missed the shot horribly, but other than a few airballs Harden is playing great. Looks like he’s trying to prove he’s still got some gas in the tank.
Celtics vs 76ers game is almost over so I will pass on that. Boston is near winning with a 13-point lead. Both Jason Tatum (33) and Jaylen Brown (29) are hot. Joe Mazzulla is doing great for his team.

Caught only the Warriors vs Lakers game for a bet before it starts. I am also on the side of the Warriors here.
Will be expecting a big lead so I took the -5.5 for the Warriors.
They will also receive their rings later, so it will be a big boost to their energy.

Tip-off about to go down on TNT. Get to a TV if you’re a basketball fan. The season is about to get underway. I’m expecting the 76ers to get a win and the warriors to cover the spread. We’ll see how close I am with those predictions. Game time! Enjoy the night of basketball folks. 76ers/Warriors for the bettors. Smiley

Very well said, at the moment, Poole is more valuable than Draymond Green because he can produce points for the team, and the fact that he is still young, that means he will continue to develop his talent until he becomes a legit superstar. People were saying that Poole looks like the young Steph Curry, so if he will live to that expectation, what we are seeing on Poole is that he will become a hall of famer someday.
Its undeniable that Poole has a bright future since looking at what he can produce to Warriors is really promising points and for sure he is superstar caliber but for discussing to be a hall of famer? Maybe he need to get MVP first or surpass many records before that to happen.

But also Green is huge lose for Warriors if he officially let him go so most provably they might struggle on defensive and on screening which is important to let their shooters create their shoots. Maybe we can see a different Warriors if Green is out on the rooster.

You are right that GSW may lack defense once Draymond Green is not on their roster anymore, but they can always teach their young stars to take over on the defense. If they can teach Durant to play a little defense, I am sure they can teach Kuminga or Wiseman to play defense. Or if that still lacks then they can still sign in some defensive specialist to play for them.

Kemba Walker is waived by the Detroit Pistons today?

This is really shocking because the used to be playing like a star in his early career as an NBA player but injuries got him good. It seems like the league really wanted to spend on healthy players nowadays instead to gamble on unstable players that might gonna cost them millions of dollars in mistake if they are not careful. Do you guys think that despite his size, he can still be a role player for some teams in the league?

It is understandable. Availability is the best ability as they always say. It is hard to bet on someone who gets easily injured and will not be able to play. Even if you have the best skills if you cannot play games, then it is a waste of money and roster slots. Just take AD or Zion, they can be the best but most of the time they are sitting on the bench because of injury.

Kemba Walker can still be a role player in some teams, I think. But he should not be expecting large contract. Maybe a year in veterans' contract is good. It is still better than not having anything at all.

I think he just doesn’t play great team basketball. Since college he’s had to carry the entire load for his team but he’s just not good enough to carry an NBA team to the Finals.
This is my opinion of him as well. He can have all the moves for the highlights but cannot produce when it really matters the most. He had a good team in Celtics but also ended up like Kyrie who is also not a great team player IMO.

Quote
I do think he’d be a great addition to a team that needs a scoring presence off the bench. Los Angeles last year for example. I’d like to see the Pelicans pick him up for their second squad. I think when McCollum, Zion, and BI are taking a breather he would be able to keep the score moving.
Leading the second unit for the Pelicans sounds about right.

Any team who could get him at a low amount could still benefit. His situation reminds me of John Wall.

Kemba Walker is still a great player, and will stay a great player, his playing style doesn't really go bad, even last year when he was given only 25 minutes in New York, dude scored 11+ points, which was his worse year and he was seen as someone who was bench are.

If any team takes him, and gives him the ball, and makes him play 30 minutes a game, just like how he has in Charlotte all these years, he will bounce back and have a 20 ppg season, only trouble he has that no team is willing to do that, this isn't his problem, it’s not because he is bad, teams just don't give him the chance, which is stupid considering how many teams really need a good ball handler as well. He could be AMAZING in sixers for example.

The problem with Kemba is that he is injury prone player. And that's why Charlotte decided to trade him and now he is bouncing from team to team.

I do agree that he is a great player, those crazy moves and cross overs, but if he can't keep himself from getting injured, then I doubt that he can average 20 ppg. He will no longer be the star that he once is, in my opinion.

I don’t think he’s an injury prone player. He was healthy in New York and they were benching him to let the younger guys play. I think he just doesn’t play great team basketball. I don't know if Green and Klay's contract will be extended, and it must've been hard for GM Bob Myers to make a decision knowing that both of them are a huge part of the past dynasty that gave them 3 titles. Let's just hope that they will be given at least 1–2-year contract maybe.

These two are the star players of the team, there's no way they won't be extended, probably they'll not get a max salary but the management will surely consider them still playing with the team. Actually, it's not only about the talent, it's about the chemistry of the team and it has been Klay, Curry, and Draymond Green who made this team a championship team.
Or loyalty (if there is such a word from this sports athlete?), I mean willing to get pay check just to chase another champion because they have built the chemistry already and they have the blue print to do it.

And so that is the only chance that I see Green still staying with the Warriors specially if he is not being offered the max contract next season.

I think he's still some sort of a role player but if I were with Kemba he should take his health very seriously but I also think he's more than ready with it so that team will consider him once again. It's still a business and they don't need some kind of empathy over it, if they can't make money on that player, that's it, it will be waived or they remain a free agent. I wonder who's team will be interested in him by now, bring him back to Charlotte?

I don't know his situation at the moment, but he was a superstar for me.
I couldn't understand Detroit's waived of Kemba Walker. I hope Kemba Walker goes to a good team and gets back to his old performance.

My take is he was waived because of his injury and with the amount of his contract piston might not see him as valuable as before, so they
are not willing to give him that much or Piston has other plans to sign other players/stars.

We really can't tell the future ahead of those past superstars. I agree that one time in Kemba's career he was really the main Alpha but
because of the injuries and age those years are just part of his memories.

Hoping to see him back, the same way with how DRose got that chance to play even he is also an injury prone star.

I guess if we look at NBA's history in recent years, team owners would rather invest on young players. Just like in the case of Poole and Wiggins, they see the this 2 might be their future superstar and that it could bring them more championship, so it's a no brainer to offer them good contracts.

We can't read Green's mind but for sure, he either appreciate and very happy for the 2 or he just wish that the Warriors are going to offer him a good contract as well, so will see.

NBA has quite learned a lot in the past years when they saw those star players when getting old does not really play like how they were in their mid-20s and its a waste of money if they gonna extend them furthermore with hundreds of millions when they cannot really play the same or bring the team to the Finals. Some players are only good in the early years of their careers and only a few like LBJ can maintain their productivity on the court the rest are just backup players when they get old like Green and they only need fewer payments when they're not in their prime anymore.

Those are good elite players, Jordan, Kobe and Lebron to name a few. However, in Draymond Green's career, I wouldn't call him elite, yes he is a good defensive player and a team leader. But as you age, and in his case, his skills are going down very fast and if I'm not mistaken, his numbers is the worst in his career if not one of the worst last season. So it's very important for the Warriors to really think about him whether to let him go or offer him but not a contract that he wants.

I agree, Green is just  different with the likes of Lebron, Jordan and Kobe whom we can call elites of their era. He is far from reality from those named players above, before, yes no doubt, he can help the team to get in the Finals and win the championship but his situation now is different because he is just a liability to the team and he is just using what he had done for the team to demand a max contract. Anyway, I doubt he can have it his way.
