I think that Damion Lee was the secret hero of the Suns - Mavericks game despite having only 11 points. Because he played a big role in the win by his contributions to his team in the last moments. He scored important points and his defending Luka Doncic in the last seconds was also important.

As for Luka Doncic I think that he was the most performed player of the game (35 pts, 9 reb and 6 ast). If he was able to score the buzzer-beater in the last seconds it was going to be enough for the win. But the shot fell short there I'm afraid. Mavericks nearly doubled the number of 3-pointers Suns had in this game but Suns still managed to get the win by 107-105. Booker's performance (28 pts, 4 reb, 9 ast) had a big impact on this victory of course.

Luka is one of the best players in the NBA, I think his performance throughout the game was quite good. He scored 35 points and had 9 rebounds, a game-winning performance alone.
But I think he couldn't use the last ball correctly. With only 5 seconds left, they could have played an inward game rather than opting for a fairly far shot, or he could have tried a closer 3-pointer. He trusted himself, but as a result of this trust, they could not win the match

First half run by the Mavs almost perfectly being executed, but the 2nd half rally of Phoenix snatches the win.

They gave up their big lead, that's why they'll never be a championship team. Mavs are still relying so much on Luka, this team is fun to watch but this season I think will still be dominated by the Warriors. Nice pick up on Damian Lee, he was huge in that game, that unbelievable winning shot was pretty impressive, I bet he cannot do it again.

He was huge in that game but defensively he cannot stop Luka, let's not overreact though, it's just only one game, he had some big contributions but we are looking for some consistency here, I just like how his teammates trusted him, he should be happy to with his new team now.

Dallas up by 21 points I guess, they gave up that big win, typical Dallas, still hasn't change.

It was a good debut for Lee, he was given decent minutes to play and he really contributed well on his offense,

rotation wise Suns brings everyone on the floor so for Lee having that exposure and the trust from both coaches and his
teammates will add confidence to this former warrior bench player. If he can earn that kind of trust, we might see more
coming from him, talent wise, he really got something to show up.

Mavericks blowing a huge lead and then Luka really needs to learn on how to control himself, I guess he wants to break his record of technical last season.

What a game between Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons and it's really good to see these rookies putting up huge numbers in their NBA debut.
Banchero puts up 27 pts. played some good defense. But Bogdanovic and the 2 rookies Ivey(19pts) and Duren (14pts & 11reb) and the whole Pistons squad are just too much for them.
I wanna see the Pistons in the playoffs picture again.

This is really amazing and they have time to shine in the team because they are the only rookie stars there considering their amazing talents, they are expected to show us more of this great performance. They are doing great in their debut and since the expected rookie star is injured, this is their time to steal the show and do everything to push their team to reach the playoffs. There is no good opportunity such as this one, they should really take advantage of it.

Orlando Magic started strong but Detroit Pistons came back stronger. I avoided betting for Detroit whom I thought of earlier as the New York Knicks. Maybe it was a good call then but I think Detroit lost the spreads here.

Anyways, I am starting this new season with a 0-2 start. Could've been 0-3 if I included Miami Heat. A good start for the new twin towers in the NBA although not that great. I lost my -10.5 because I thought it was going to become a blowout. KAT and Edwards seemed a bit lost while it was Gobert and D'Angelo running the offense. Another disaster was when the Denver Nuggets got clobbered by the supposed rebuilding team Utah Jazz. Utah Jazz seems to have a decent line-up with no superstar.

I was shocked with the outcome of that game, Jazz vs Denver. Thinking that Denver was rallying in the last quarter as
Jokic and Murray are both doing the damage, taking over in trying to close the game.

but it was the three-point shots that really gives the Jazz that win, no known stars for now but the type of chemistries that they are showing seems that the rebuilding can still let them to move to the next round, too early to say but if they will keep doing that same type of game then the chance is good for this new form squad.

Many doesn't expect the result on that game since many really thought that this game will be taken by Nuggets but Jazz show up that even though they enter on a hard rebuilding they can still kick up and bring problems to their opponents. This is also show that somehow they don't need superstars to win their matches because if they continue to dominate and have good trust to each other which can create good chemistry they have chance to advance on next round.

And he got fouled out playing only 23 minutes.
Overall, I don't want to judge him based on one game. Maybe he only has a bad night in his debut game after not playing for more than a year. Let's see how he will play after maybe 3-5 games but TBH, the thing that I didn't expect from him is to get fouled by playing only 23 minutes.

For me, the Pelicans are the "dark horse" team right now.
They played well last season against the Suns but fell short. Take note that it's the number 1 seed and they gave them a hard fight and that is without Zion as well. Now they got him aside from Ingram and McCollum who will help the team. This is the team to watch out I guess and the Hawks as well.

This is just the 1st regular game, it could be different in the next games ahead, but most teams that I have expected to win really win, but I haven't made my bet yet, just looking at the 1st games as not that consistent with what I think and let this 1st game the comparison on who I will bet next,

The Golden State Warriors are in good form and Stephen Curry is in the best shape against the Lakers, so the Lakers will need against the Los Angeles Clippers,

Now here are my picks for tomorrow's games

Philadelphia 76ers VS Milwaukee Bucks

The Stake odds for this game are 1.57 for the 76ers and 2.49 for the Bucks, Now that the 76ers really have a bad start they will need to beat it out against the Milwaukee Bucks, but as the Bucks don't have Khris Middleton because of a Wrist Injury, and Pat Connaughton that has a calf  injury, it is looking slim for them, on the recent trade for  Javonte Smart have kicked in suffering the Bucks in their Defense for me I will go with the Philadelphia 76ers,

Los Angels Lakers VS Los Angeles Clippers

The Stake odds for this game are 2.90 for the Lakers While 1.44 for the Clippers, Reggie Jackson will be playing but I think for just a short while, or is he 100% OK, Westbrook seems really focused lately but then again I never think if he's going to be consistent now, but the Clippers now have Kawhi Leonard and Paul George for the team but does their chemistry could fit the bill against the Lakers, but for this game, I am going with the Los Angeles Clippers,

Brooklyn Nets were blown out by the New Orleans Pelicans. 108-130
Ben Simmons 4/5/5 stats. Ergh! I am expecting more in the rebounding and assist section.

That Suns game turned out to be a good one. They were trailing the Mavericks by 22 and ended up winning by 2. A complete turnaround led in my opinion by DeAndre Ayton who had a great second half after struggling in the first. When that guy puts up big numbers the Suns are one of the best teams in the league. I think he deserves more respect. They should’ve dumped their coach and signed Ayton to a long term deal but I’m still expecting them to trade him later this year.

Luka seemed pretty pissed after missing what could have been a game winner. He was calling for a screen and his teammates ignored him and left him on an island to shoot a near half court shot.

I’m watching the Suns vs Mavs game right now and they were talking about Dinwiddie. They said his interests off the court include crypto. Just as they say that, he drains a 3-pointer and one of the announcers says, “that’s Bitcoin right there, that’s money.” Absolutely hilarious. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen so many signs of mass adoption during a bear market before. NBA and Bitcoin, what a combination for entertainment. Smiley
Yeah! He is the one who is accepting Bitcoin as his salary right?

Lots happened in NBA debuts.

How about the Utah Jazz!? Defeating the Denver Nuggets even with Murray and MPJ back. Many doubted what the Jazz did and many expect them to be a losing team because of trading Gobert and Donovan but look at them now with young guys doing their best.
Sexton, Markkanen, Clarkson, Beasley, and combined with some veterans Rudy Gay and Conley.

And to add, he played 78 freaking games last season.

And in that 78 games last season, he played all as a starting lineup. Still athletic and quick at the current point of his career.

That's why there are some comments that to fully utilize Westbrook, now that LeBron James and Anthony Davis are back in action, Coach Ham should not try to do too many experiments regarding the player's rotation, especially the first squad. Let Westbrook just do the usual.

Actually, Westbrook just become trendy to most people because he was in the Lakers or specifically with LBJ. During the time he was on the Washington Wizards, the level of criticism is not that much compared to when he was signed by the Lakers.

Pairing with LBJ attracts a lot of critics and negative publicities, it's true that during his stay with Wizard he didn't get that much attention,.

Unlike now with his 2nd season with the Lakers, he really gaining lots of attentions something that he needed
not to pay attention, just play the game and be a player that you always be.

It's about handling the pressure coming from those who are trying to distract your focus and show how professional
you are in taking the challenges.

And he's might not able to ask that again since he's already pass his prime.

He's still lucky that he's got a good contract and for sure that he's going to stay with the winning team that he's been with and would still like to have that championship for this season.

Didn't he said that he wants to get into the Lakers? That's what I can remember from some news that I've seen.

Did he say that? I think I might have missed that news. If he has said that, I think that it might be a decent option for him to join the Lakers if they are up for it.

He might add some firepower to them but another thing to consider is that he has aged quite a bit and I'm not quite sure if the Lakers would want to add another older player to the squad. Although he had a 52% conversion rate in 2021, which was the best in his career, I'm quite interested to see whether the Lakers would add him up or not. What I want to see is that GSW gives him a proper farewell.

The Pelicans are destroying the Nets right now even without Brandon Ingram. I think they’re going to be a lot better than people realize right now. Zion is absolutely bullying people down low. Great to see.

In a couple hours the Suns and the Mavs will play. Last time they played in the playoffs it was a pretty nasty game with Luka showing he’s one of the best in the world. This will be a great game to watch and it’ll air on ESPN in about 90 minutes.
