It was a balanced attack, the big problem of the Suns in that game is their defense on Ingram, they know that Ingram is the main scorer of the team and yet they allow him to have a good shooting night.

Ingram scored   37 points from 61% shooting, that was too easy for him, without a good defense, no way the Suns would beat a defensive team like the Bucks and the Heat, or even the Warriors.
But I think the Suns' can still win that game if Booker was not injured. They are letting Ayton and CP3 and that hot guy who scored 31 in the first half have their rest even though their lead is fading away.
All of it will matter at the endpoint of the game when Ingram and McCollum are too exhausted to score or even defend. I think that's one of the key factors in why the Suns are a successful team. Deep bench. If the party led by Payne which is the 2nd unit could just prevent the Pelicans from being in the lead they will win the next minutes with fresh stars and will do the damage at full blast.
Now we wait for the adjustments, a big one without Booker. The Warden should try defending Ingram.

Booker was the one carrying the Suns in the 1st half, maybe other shooters are not in them because it was Booker who made most of the attempts. It's really not good watching a superstar getting down due to injury, that destroys the excitement of the game, but let's accept this, playoffs are more physical so a team has to be always prepared for that.

Who’s watching the match between the Pelcs and Suns? Currently on 3rd quarter break while Pelc is leading with 7pts. It’s a good opportunity to put a live bet for Suns since they has a high chance to comeback on this game. I already place my bet with -4.5 Suns with good odds. I hope Suns will continue to pressure attacking Pelcs on last quarter.
Did you make that bet before or after Booker suffered a hamstring injury? It wasn't a bad bet but Ingram just keep hitting crucial shots in the final minutes to maintain their lead. There's nothing the Suns could have done to stop him.

It's worth noting that Booker was showing a great performance before the injury as he scored 31 points in just 25 minutes. So I think he could have made a decisive contribution in the 4th quarter, and the Suns could have won if he hadn't got injured. Let's hope Booker doesn't have a serious hamstring injury. Otherwise, the Suns may have big problems in the upcoming matches.

Yeah, it was really a disappointment to see him go down like that and the Suns seems to b stunned by Booker's injury that I noticed that they seems to be somewhat down and it's obvious it showed on their game as they allowed the Pelicans to make a run in the 3rd quarter and the Suns didn't recover after that. Doesn't matter if it serious or not, hamstring injuries needs rest just like what we have seen on Harden the previous years.

Yeah I was shocked to see Ingram have such a huge game, I mean 37 points in the playoffs and versus the Suns no less is some pretty impressive stuff. I think they more so got lucky with this game however and don’t see them winning another one, the Suns are just too complete of a team.
That still depends on the health of Booker, he did not play in the 4th quarter that game and we are still waiting for an update on the status of his injury, if he will not play game 3, then most likely Pelicans will win.

Hopefully the Chicago Bulls can pull one off tonight! Though I’m not holding my breath.

Bulls showed their heart in game 1, they are just short in the 4th quarter, but let's see, maybe an upset could happen here just like what Pelicans did to the Suns.

A tragedy like this always happened in the NBA playoffs where a star player will not gonna make it because of certain injuries that are why when you reached the finals you need to give everything you've got to win it because of the chances to get back there are almost impossible. The reasons are multiple and most of the time the other teams are also improving and will gonna easily beat them if they missed one star or role key player in the team. I think this has happened before when Chris Paul was about to beat the GSW when he was at Houston and now Booker is unsure to come back to play in the game 3.

Lets just hope that this injury will not be a problem with the whole journey of the Suns this playoffs or else, they might lose it all "again".
Booker has hamstring injury and Paul has a history of injuries during the playoffs. This is a problem for the Suns team.

TBH, I'm a bit surprised that the Pelicans stole one game on the road knowing that it is the Suns team but... I remembered that they still have Ingram and McCollum that can still lead the team. Hamstring injuries might affect the player's performance in the playoffs. Just look on how it affected Harden when he is still in Brooklyn. It affected the whole team thus, losing the opportunity to get a title. I'm not saying that it will happen to the Suns but there is a chance and I hope it will not happen. Congrats to the Pelicans though.

I assume he made the bet before the 4th quarter started, and that's after the Booker injury.
I also agree, that wasn't a bad bet knowing that Booker will be sidelined for the rest of the quarter, coz they have momentum and CP3 is keeping the Pelicans lead as close as possible.
However, McCollum and Ingram down the stretch is really killing them hitting shot after shot.
The Pelicans really deserves that win and the Suns will just have to win on the road for the next game.
Hamstring tightness is not a severe injury so Booker will be expected to return in game 3.

I honestly didn't like how he ended up with 45 points while the rest are under 20 points. It doesn't look good for the team's overall performance but a win is still a win. I've seen them do better as a team and I expect a more balanced scoring and more ball movement from them in game 3.
Still a win indeed. The coach and his teammates let him take charge and that's a good result, in my opinion.

Just how MJ took over each time the team needed to score. It's good to have a player like him on your side, a player who's
willing to take charge.

Maybe stat wise it isn't good, but if you are being supported by your teammates and if the coach let you do your stuff
and the outcome still favors your team, still considerable. Just saying  Wink
It's the result that matters at the end of the day. They won so they get a pass no matter how it was done. Just hoping to see better team plays in the next games.

That was a great game. Once Booker went down with hamstring soreness everything changed. I hope he’s fine for the next game. I think he will be after some treatment. Brandon Ingram was just great tonight. That might be the best game of his career. A shame he couldn’t get one more assist for his first triple double. He showed he’s capable of carrying a team tonight as they beat the #1 seed at home (Phoenix). Definitely keeping things interesting. Every game this series extends there’s a better chance we’ll get to see Zion play this postseason, which is something I’ve been hoping for.

Jimmy Buttler doing everything he can for the Heat but the Hawks are catching fire in the fourth. It's now a single possession ball game and a lot of things could still happen with under 3 minutes remaining. It eould be a shame if the Heat lose this one after a commanding third quarter.

Bogdanovic is the game changer here.

....

Game's over. Huge response from Butler aftet their lead was cut down to only three.

Yeah, it was Butler in the last 3-4 minutes of the game, 40+ points in game 2, that's huge. Too much experience I would say, Butler and the rest of the Heat knows how to protect that lead and then their defense against Trae Young in that crucial minutes. Bogdanovic though continue to score in the 1:30 mark but it was too late already. And then the Heat putting the ball to their best FT shooter to seal the win for them.

Curry had a great game, but so did everyone on that Warriors team as well. Poole seems to be growing into a great player as well, it is really unfair to the league that they got another good player Cheesy. Now they have curry, klay, draymond, wiggins and now Poole as well Cheesy.

This is just getting insane at this stage, doubt that they could put all five in at the same time, just doesn't work when you look at the positions, even if you put Draymond at C on that situation, who will play the PF position? Klay? Wiggins? It just doesn't work, I get the small ball, but that is tiny ball at that stage Cheesy. But, it is just so deadly that it is unbelievable and I believe they could go for the title yet again.

That's actually the exact 5 they threw on the court and labeled the lethal rotation.  Golden state took over the game and stretched the lead with that rotation.  Small lineup but unguardable.  Who are you going to double or take away?  Everyone of those players can create their own shot.

Since the league nowadays doesn't need much of big guys dominating the inside, having a small lineup is effective for some teams and the best team example for that is the Golden State Warriors. No need to put much pressure on the defense as they will just focus on their offense. Since most of the guys here do have a specialty in the outside shooting, that's what they focus on more.

Seems effective as how can a team can even defend an almost entire lineup that has a good field goal percentage whether on the perimeter, inside shooting, or 3-points area. It's a problem to take care of by the opposing team.

I believe is only working because Nuggets is strong inside but what if they can up against team that strong inside and out like Suns? They still need to workout on there defense to become flexible in any team. There’s a limitation on this kind of strategy but GSW has the capacity to improve since they have looney and probably iggy if he comes back on there playoffs run.

Warriors vs Nuggets later.
I wish Coach Malone has something up in his sleeves to counter attack. Judging by the way it ended at game 1, it was too far to say they have a winning chance at road or even at home. This Game 2 is to prove that wrong. Get a lead or end the game in a close battle. Just don't let it become another blowout game.
Will be supporting the Nuggets with +7.

It would be an interesting game if coach Malone will find a good system to counter Warriors offense or have a tough defensive stop

to avoid the Warriors in making more good looks with their shots, Poole covered Steph numbers, with lesser minutes for Steph

but good enough to produce decent numbers. Warriors are very deadly in terms of ball rotations. Better to keep closer and not to

let the players to build strong confidence, they will keep shooting the ball and give you a higher percentage in making those shots.

There may not be anything left. I saw Facu played after Jokic was ejected due to 2 technical fouls. Why don't they use them earlier for defensive purposes? That's the question that had been clouding my mind after the game.
Warriors have 4 threats on outside shots with Wiggins, Poole, Klay, and Curry. They need someone who can defend those guys and somehow be also effective on the offensive end. Facu is one of those guys that can do both.
The only threat I see is Jokic on the Nuggets side and Draymond Green got that covered while the others are shut down. Expecting a sweep or 4-1. Unless Murray will be forced to step in.
Whether Facu play or not, I'm feeling that the Warriors will be using broomsticks in this series.
Just by seeing in the first 2 games, its pretty obvious that Jokic alone can't carry the team especially when you are facing a complete Warriors team.

Lets just think for a second that Curry and Thompson alone is pretty deadly offensively and we know how good they are right? Now they've added another potential shooter in Jordan Poole which is playing very great in his first 2 games in playoffs. If they are playing like this all throughout the whole series against Denver, they have no chance. The three of them scored 84 of the 126 points of the team. Looney can't stop Jokic but Green can so putting him on Jokic would be better but still, I don't see any chance for the Denver to win in this series and I know many are thinking that way as well. Maybe if the shooters of Warriors are having a bad night then they might have a chance.

Nuggets were able to take the lead early but the Warriors are just too good to have their own run that the Nuggets were not able to bounce back anymore. They pretty well dominated the Nuggets, they frustrate Jokic, same strategy the Suns did to them, so yeah, it's a probable 4-0 series.
After that double digit lead of the Nuggets, Warriors did a huge run and didn't look back winning it all.
Maybe some already knows that the Warriors will win this one and they will face the winner of MEM/MIN series. With a healthy Warriors team, might be a bit absurd but I think they can go to NBA Finals and defeat the Suns if they will be the ones that will face in conference Finals.

Bit of a trivia (just saw it by watching). The Warriors are 13-1 when they are leading 2-0 under coach Kerr and with the Nuggets, they are 0-10 when they are trailing 0-2 so.... yeah just see the numbers, that just increases the odds of Nuggets losing this one.
