I'll go with Nets against Cavaliers. I already picked them the first time I saw the match-up but with Allen not playing in the play-in because of a thumb injury, that increases the odds of Nets winning and staying at 7th spot.
I think I'll go with Clippers against the Wolves. I think the Clippers deserves a playoff spot more than the Wolves.
Hornets vs. Hawks? I'll go with Hornets with this even though Hayward will not play.
Spurs Vs. Pelicans? Spurs I think. All of this are just my prediction though

Waiving their old players will be their first step in rebuilding the team. The team had too much old players that it affected them both offensively and defensively. I am a bit sad and relieved about the news. Coach Vogel had been making bad decisions on his rotations especially when their opponents are literally weak teams that should have been an easy win even with his bench players.
There are a lot of rumors going around now. Juwan Howard paired with Rajon Rondo as the coaching Staff and even Nick Nurse's name floated.
If they like run and gun style it surely is Mike D'Antoni and the opposite of him is Quin Snyder but they already tried a defensive coach which is Vogel so I doubt they will do that again.

On the contrary though, coach Vogel tried to be a Mike D'Antoni on Lakers and I don't see him a defensive coach. But good riddance though for Vogel, for sure he will find a new coaching job maybe somewhere else.

It's just the everything was a disaster from the very beginning for the Lakers, compounding by Lebron getting injured and Davis. Hopefully they will have a new team next season and forget about the debacle of Vogel + Westbrook + Carmelo pairing.

I’ve heard rumors that Russell Westbrook is considering retirement. I personally can’t see him coming back to the LA Lakers after that atrocity he put together this season. There’s a report out there that Lebron specifically chose Westbrook over Demar DeRozan, that seems to be pretty damaging to the reputation of the team that Magic Johnson was out talking about how it should have happened. Long winded way of saying I just don’t see Westbrook coming back. I’m also hoping, and there are rumors that the Lakers might be considering trading Anthony Davis to the Chicago Bulls. Not sure for whom but it’s peaked my interest.

Coach is probably not a problem, Lakers can afford to hire a good coach and I'm pretty sure there are a lot of coaches who are just waiting for the big opportunity. By the way you read read this article, it will give us an idea on who will be the best candidate for the Lakers coaching job.

Westbrook and Dwight for sure will be traded but I think the other team will request THT to add with the deal. I hope they will get a reliable center this time so that Lebron and AD will not gonna force too much on defense and avoid more physical activity inside the court. This news is the greatest decision LA management do to save there team for the next season. Too bad they do this late which cause them a lot.

I'd be rooting for Nets and Clippers as the 7th seed then Hawks and Spurs for the 8th. I'd say for Hawks they are more capable for doing this and more experienced considering they advanced already during the last seasons compare to the young guns of Hornets. It would be a shame I think if they lost this one, Trae will be going hot in this match so do LaMelo.

Looking forward to the games tomorrow! I can’t wait to see how the Nets perform especially how they are going to perform with Ben Simmons possibly back in the fold.

My Chicago Bulls drew the Milwaukee Bucks in the opening round which is of course a nightmare for them having any chance of making it to another round. I think they will likely be lucky to win one game . At least they are building for the future though and that’s the important thing !

Just learned about this. Cavaliers are I think already secured a playoffs spot and now they will play in a play-in tournament.

These kids are impressive during the mid-season and competing in the Eastern Conference standings against Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics.

No choice but to take on another challenge and they need to do their full best. I hope they can even pass on 1st Round as the last time they did it is when Lebron James still playing for them.

Right, I will be on the Nets here against the Cavs, they really built a good chemistry, but against Irving and Durant, I'm not seeing them winning against one of the best duo in the league. The Cavs are amongst in the top 4 early, but they dropped to 8th which is bad in my opinion. Recently the Nets beat the Cavs and this time it will be on the Nets home court so give me the Nets in this play in.
