The interesting thing about Nets getting Simmons is the fact that they had to give Harden for him. In no regular situation Simmons worths trading Harden for, not even when he is 100% healthy and playing well enough, dude was already bad compared to Harden. So, nets moved from Irving-Harden-Durant trio to Irving-Durant and maybe a shell of a Simmons whenever they get him.

I am 100% sure that Harden asked to get out, otherwise why do something like this? Nets is not good enough to mean anything during playoffs for sure, let them get eliminated during play-in so that they can take a quicker vacation and start their off-season, since it wouldn't matter even if they went to playoffs.

Brooklyn Nets Smiley .
I thought the the Cavaliers will maintain their position at the top 4 but it seems that they had a bad nights in their last games thus they fall down to the 8th spot and now has a chance to be eliminated and not enter the playoffs.
Good pick. Cavaliers did not maintain it when Dean Wade, Mobley and Allen was injured. Garland cannot handle everything in both ends of the floor so he lack help. But good news, Mobley is back and he was playing great again.
Who will advance in the play in tournament?

Cavaliers vs Nets

Clippers vs TWolves

Hornets vs Hawks

Spurs vs Pelicans

I am thinking Brooklyn Nets will advance first for the East and Clippers for the West as the 7th seed.
Hawks to win against the Hornets and Cavs to win against the Hawks. Timberwolves for the West as the 8th seed defeating the Spurs after winning against the Pelicans.

Yeah agreed and those 2 will be potent 7th place teams.  I know the Grizzlies don't want to see the clips.  They are getting kawhi back and just got pg back.  I can see the Nets running the table as the 7th seed.  Clips will struggle against the Grizzlies but that's how I see this playing out too

Now that the regular season is over, I actually got quite excited about the play-in games, especially Nets v Cavs. Nets had big issues and big ups and downs but at the end, they still have two superstars and it can be their time to shine more than ever. Especially Kevin Durant, who is an excellent player and hugely motivated superstar, can do marvellous things in the playoffs. On the other hand, Cavs were much better during the first half of the season. But by the end of the season, they are having serious problems. Even though I personally like the Cavs, I have my doubts about their performances in the play-ins.

They just newly acquire some good players in their team so I guess they struggle on their chemistry but I believe if they can work this things together for sure they can still be dangerous since they have full talents on their rooster. Their coaching staffs should find ways on which of this guys would be a perfect fit on their stars since I guess this will be good for them especially they are placed on crucial situation.
The Cavs was one of the biggest surprises early, and just like the Bulls in the West, they struggled after the All-Star break because of some injuries on their key players. But the Cavs still have a chance though, but it will be a tough one as they will have to go against the Nets. So I wouldn't be surprise if the Nets with their game against the Cavs, because of KD and Irving.
You meant Bulls in the east, I assume. I agree with both of your points. Jarrett Allen's injury affected them quite a lot. Even though he was a replacement player in the All Star game, still he is an all star player. Although he is quite young, 23 years old. According to an article on Cleveland.com, he is not likely to play against Nets on tuesday night. But maybe can be ready for the next games? But even if he plays, how ready can he be? That seems like a crucial point for the Cavs and the series.

On another subject, Joel Embid became the scoring champ with 30.57 points per game. Antetokounmpo is second with 29.88 ppg. This was a historic race for the scoring title. What a season Embid had. He surely will be immensely important on the playoff games.

I was convinced that the Cavaliers would go to the playoffs in this season, but unfortunately, they dropped to 8th place, I was impressed, at the same time they were doing so well and now they are fighting to participate in the playoffs.

This game against the Nets could be decisive, for both teams, and I believe in this game that we will have soon, the Nets will beat the Cavs (of course this is my opinion)

Ben Simmons? Grin Brooklyn Nets have said that they're looking forward to see him in the first round of the playoffs. But that doesn't impress or interest the fans because he was supposed to make his debut long ago.

It's been a long overdue with this dude, a whole season of rest? We really don't know what's behind, but like you mentioned fans

already over him, no interest or no more hypes with his name. If he will play, then so be it. More on seeing Nets surviving this play-in tournament.

And what would be the fate of the team after this? Just another chapter and still a long way before achieving the team's goal of winning the title

in this season, we never know right? Wink

How about the Tournament? Anyone have favorites?
I like the Timberwolves to be positioned at 8th seed so that Patrick Beverley will face CP3 again. The last time was a big hit for the media when Pat pushed CP3 so hard he tumbled on the floor like a cartoon.  Grin Of course it's CP3 adding some spice into it selling the call to the officials to throw Pat out.

I still remember that and Beverley did it just because of how his Clippers team ended their season Cheesy. Pushed out because of emotions but its understandable because its playoffs though I want both of them to face again in the playoffs.

Coach Nash said in this article that they've ruled out Simmons in the "REGULAR SEASON AND PLAY-IN TOURNAMENT".

I'm thinking what if the play-in tournament is over and they clinched to the playoffs, will Ben Simmons play in the playoffs Cheesy.

What a bad day for the Dallas Mavericks their star player Luka Doncic has suffered an injury during their last game of the season, everyone has already asked the Mavericks what's with them? what did they let their star players play during this last game? injuries such as this one are hard to heal in these few days remaining before the NBA playoffs, he might be back but he will not be 100% condition and that would affect their performance versus the Utah Jazz.
This is not good, I was expecting that Dallas has a chance to win the NBA Finals but without Luka, I don't think they'll pass the first round of the playoffs.

Luka Doncic injury update: Mavericks star suffers calf strain in final game of regular season vs. Spurs

No update yet regarding on how serious the injury is and on how long he'll be out.
I hope it's not too serious so we will see a great playoffs.

Yeah, I think this is the risk of playing your superstar in the last game of the regular season. As you can see, majority of the stars chooses to seat out and watch the team play because we really don't know what will happen.

And so in this case, the gamble didn't paid off as Luka got injured. We just hope that he can still play in the playoffs as they are going to face the Nuggets in the first round if I'm not mistaken.

Too bad for them, if they have just let go of their ambition to overtake the Warriors on the 3 seed then this wouldn't have happened to their star. That gamble is seriously risky and the result they have now got them in a much dangerous position. As of now, his calf injury isn't yet reported if it was just minor or a serious injury. I hope it's just a minor tho.

Mavericks will face Utah Jazz in the first round while the Nuggets will face the Warriors.

The last day of the NBA regular season is upon us. Not too much to be excited for today. Joel Embiid will likely win the scoring title over LeBron James unless he plays and scores no points today. That’s probably the only thing to watch. TNT will be televising 2 games. Celtics vs Grizzlies and Warriors vs Pelicans. Can’t say I’ll be watching either, but I’m looking forward to the playoffs starting. We won’t get the Nets bs Lakers matchup in the finals I was hoping for, but I’m looking forward to seeing LaMelo in the play-in tourney and hoping Ben Simmons and Kawhi Leonard make postseason appearances.
The expectation for Kawhi Leonard to be back is so high after the game against the Sacramento Kings. It's a long playoffs and maybe he could but the commentator doesn't want to give hopes to anyone. Win the play-in is their first goal and who knows if he could return while they are keeping up.
They have Norman Powell now, I think that's great news. A big addition to their firepower which they lack as Reggie Jackson became on and off in his shooting percentage.
As for Ben, mental health issues, back problem, more drama. What could be next?!  Cheesy

His fans and the people have really missed him seeing in the court playing but the good thing is that he still not ruled out for the rest of the season, so if the Clippers can survive the play-in tournament then maybe we can see Kawhi Leonard again this season, he is still progressing the rest of the team is very optimistic that he could really return this season.

When I saw it, I was "WTF?".
The game will not affect their current standings but I don't know why Coach Jason Kidd still let Doncic play. Well, I just hope that he will be ok and will be healthy when the playoff starts. They still have a few more days to rest since there is still play-ins.
Perhaps he insisted, for the fans. When I saw him limping it looks bad to me too. But according to reports it was said to be a calf sprain so it's not that bad. Maybe he will be back before the playoffs even starts. April 16 is when they face against Utah Jazz. He still have a lot of days to fix it and have some training runs.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Nuggets will advance in the 2nd round, Jokic will be the MVP this season, his confidence is on a high level and he is also getting support from his teammates like Gordon has become an improved player this season. There's also a rumor that Murray might be available in the playoffs, so who knows.
I respect your opinion with regards to the Nuggets defeating the Warriors since the record of Nuggets against the Warriors this season is pretty good.
They matched up 4 times this season and the Nuggets won 3 of the 4 games. The last game of Nuggets and 2 of them without Curry but it doesn't matter since the Nuggets only have Jokic but all 4 of the games are close games so.. maybe we might see a close series between the 2 but I'll still go with Warriors in maybe 6 Smiley.

I had to go see the Kings and Suns for the last game of the year. The key Suns players all sat out, but so did Fox and Sabonis for the Kings. Holiday was just on fire for them all game. The Suns also rested JaVale in the second half. They made a run at the end and it looked like they might win, other than that the Kings dominated pretty much the entire game. Sugarhill Gang performed at halftime and the arena was pretty much packed. Shame had a great night like you said and nearly brough them back, but it just wasn’t meant to be. All eyes turn towards the play-in games on Tuesday now. Luckily all the games on Tuesday and Wednesday will be nationally televised.
I was confused at first when I was just listening to the game because of the 2 Holiday's.  Grin They got me there.
Justin with Kings, Aaron for the Suns. I had to look at the television just to see what was happening.

Suns' superstars will absolutely be fully rested now and just waiting for which team will be their opponent after the tournament. Whichever team it is, I don't think they even have a single chance to win against the dominating Suns, high chance of a sweep. If the Clippers will take 7, it could be Twolves or Spurs in my prediction.

The Kings won the match between the Sacramento Kings and the Phoenix Suns. I was a little surprised because the performance of the Kings players was a little low this year. I guess the Suns didn't care too much about the game and wanted their players to rest.
Landry Shamet was the top scorer with 27 points. It was also a good performance with JaVale McGee getting 13 rebounds Smiley

Well... I was surprised with Sacramento Kings' victory over the Suns. But then I realized that Phoenix's main players didn't play and will be resting and getting ready for the playoffs!

Talking about the Lakers... this season was extremely bad for LAL!!

In your opinion, what do you think about the Lakers roster next season? What could be your main changes?
Will he be able to come much stronger and prepared for the next NBA season?
