I wish I was able to watch the Brooklyn Nets vs New York Knicks game last night.  Cheesy  It seems to be a hell of a game. I was supporting Nets for this game and they made it by 112-110. Especially Harden had good stats like 34 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Durant followed him by 27 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. They nearly missed making a triple-double and double-double.

Dwight Howard went off today for the Lakers. Finally they give him some minutes with LeBron out due to covid (he was vaccinated).  I’ve been saying he’s playing at a hall of fame level this year and it’s like nobody noticed. Glad to see him trending on twitter tonight and getting some respect now that he got the minutes to show up in the box scores.

17 straight wins (Suns). What an important and expressive number.
I hope the Suns can maintain that performance throughout the regular season.

But I believe there were some important factors in this game.
Curry and some GSW players didn't play very well and scored few points, while several Phoenix players scored and helped the team

Yup, as others have said, it was a disappointment night for Steph Curry. We are expecting him to really play good in this game because everything is on the line here. But it was his night and then the Suns has played a terrific defense as well to give them credit for that. I'm not sure when is the next game between the two, but the Warriors wanted to avenge that lost and Curry will redeem himself next time in their home court. Besides, the Phoenix Suns is the favourite to win here, but maybe some of us bet on Warriors to win the handicap at least.

That's normal, the losing team usually does not perform well, but don't worry, this is just one game, if ever they'll meet in the playoffs, we can surely see how the Warriors will adjust in a best of 7 series and for sure the Suns will adjust too. The Warriors had Curry struggling this game, but he will not struggle everytime they'll meet as the team will certainly make an adjustment to make Curry effective again.

That was an amazing game by the SUns... Still on a winning streak now, since even the Warriors cannot beat them, I don't know anymore when their winning streak will be stopped, it seems like they are unstoppable now. Their next game will be against the Pistons, I think we can easily consider that still a win for them.

I have a question, fellas here, do you think that they'll break the longest winning streak in the NBA?

Here's the top 3.

Quote
1. Los Angeles Lakers, 1971-72: 33

2. Miami Heat, 2012-13: 27

3. Golden State Warriors, 2015-16: 24

Let's give credit to the Suns defense, and shot selection in this game.

They held the Warriors to less than 100 points and their 3 point shooting also dropped.
Curry struggle but Poole was there to rescue, unfortunately, the Suns had a lot of weapons, and they use their good ball movement to keep everyone from contributing to the team.

In fact, they got outrebounded by the Warriors but it wasn't enough to beat them.

Overall, it's a nice game, at least this gives us an idea of what to expect when these two teams will meet in the Playoffs.

I agree with what CP3 said about Coach Monty, respect for a sudden switch in their plays after losing Booker with a hamstring injury. That's not a simple thing to do and it worked.
What went right? GSW was prepared to bring everything to Booker in the defensive end, and they even go far by putting a box one play. But, Coach Monty switched to using DeAndre Ayton and Coach Kerr didn't expect that plus they don't have the ability to defend him without a big man.
Because of that, 24 points and 11 rebounds for the big man under the rim.
Off night for Steph Curry.

That assist of Paul to Shamet for the dagger three to put the icing on the cake in the final minute of the game and they got the victory against the top seeded Warriors 104-96 and they tied their franchise record for longest winning streak at 17.

What is the reason why Warriors lost? Turnovers. They turned over the ball 22 times and they also got turnovers in the most crucial minutes of the game. Another reason is their defense. Curry is the top leading scorer right now but in this game, he only scored 12 points.

Lets take note also that Booker got a hamstring injury at the mid of the 2nd quarter and didn't return and still they got the victory. I rooted for the Warriors to win in this game but it seems that the Suns will continue their win streak Cheesy.

^ But they are still hanging on the game, very close for comfort as others say.

Warriors will run but then again Phoenix there to defend so it's a back and forth game and it's really hard to see who will remain on top. The Suns winning streak is on the line and the best record in the league as well. Best thing to happen to us is to see the game going into OT, LOL.

End of 3rd, 80-78 by Phoenix Suns.

Still a close game and we are in the 4th quarter now.

Curry has been struggling this game but this is 4th quarter, it's his time and for sure he will help his team to win.
Good luck to us, I'm a big Warriors fan and I like them to win this game.

Brooklyn Nets won and the highlight of the game is James Harden with a big putback dunk. After that, he celebrated like a demon possessed him and shook his body too fast the camera cannot even handle it.  Grin
Good game and Knicks is not giving up until that buzzer sounds, if they only had more time then it could be a different ending.
KD and Harden lead the Nets in offense while surprisingly Alec Burks is the one who is on top for the Knicks.

It really was a very close game with lead switching very close to double digits for either side at intervals, but Knicks were really up and doing and despite going really down at the beginning of the 3rd with was it a 14-0 run ? (I can't remember), the momentum change and felt as the Nets would run away with an easy win but the Knicks worked themselves gradually back into game and would have deserved a chance at OT.

It's Halftime in the most anticipated game of the week and tbh honest, it's been nothing short of an interesting one, both team taking the game to each other, too bad for the Suns to lose Booker to what seemed to be an hamstring problem in 2nd quarter.

I guess that I would watch the Nets - Knicks game tonight. It seems to be like a delightful game to me. D. Rose's condition is still doubtful for this game. In case he plays, Knicks can fight back much better against Nets in this game. Otherwise, Nets are the overwhelming team here. With K. Durant and Harden especially, they would tear Knicks apart in my opinion. But we will see if I'm wrong or not.

DRose did play in this game, but Harden and Durant had a terrific game. But still the game is very close, 112-110, I thought that game will go into OT.

Fournier hit a 3 to tie the game, But Johnson was fouled next hit both free throws and Fournier missed a desperation 3.

Now let's watch the Suns vs GSW game.

Agreed. Curry is definitely going to have his hands full tonight with the Suns who have been on fire ever since the bubble. The Warriors are the hottest team in the league in my opinion though. This will be a good test. I don’t think the Suns have anyone who can stop Curry though. I think I’d probably put my money on the Warriors, but I’m confident it’ll be a good game worth watching no matter what happens.
It's hard to predict who will be able to win this match. However, the Suns have a slight advantage because this game will be on their home court. So maybe the Suns' fans will try to stop Curry. Grin Anyway, this game should be one of the most interesting this season, considering that the Suns and Warriors could potentially meet each other in WCF.

The home court doesn't guarantee anything but it gives so slight possibilities due to familiarity but I think GSW now have the advantage knowing how curry perform well in this series plus we can also add that their current piece is working so well and contribute good numbers to win on this past couple of games. But everything could change but let see what will happen unto the game but one thing is for sure here we can provably see a good game to this match up.

It's also good to see how Payton Jr will match against Booker or Chris Paul. As we all know this kid is good at playing defense so he will be tested against a offensive player like the two above. And it's no surprised that Suns is the favorite in this game because of their winning streak and their homecourt advantage. But we will see how Curry and Draymond will take the challenge in tonight's game.

Sad to see Blake Griffin being benched...  Steve Nash said that he feels for him and understands the position he's in, but you can't take away opportunities from guys who deserve it.  I thought Blake was having a decent year from what I'd seen of him play, but after taking a closer look at the stats and seeing that his %'s have fallen off the chart and he's basically putting up career lows in every category, and maybe his burst of energy when joining the Nets was a bit of a mirage.  I wouldn't be surprised if this was his last year in the league.  A shame because he seemed to be growing into a role as a skill player, but his 3pt % falling below 20% I think sort of sealed his fate.
