With a complete cast, Warriors always have that chance, plus the fact that fans will always love them. Surely it will be an interesting upcoming season.
Just to add, it's the scary plays of Steve Kerr and the way he rotates his players. Credits to his former coach Phil Jackson, he did inherit most of his strategies from watching all of it in the bench.
GSW is a scary team whenever they are healthy, we might see them pull out some big surprises next season, but let's hope Thompson will survive and will not be injured again, we badly need the splash brothers to play together and bring the GSW into a high success.
Curry and Green has nothing to prove anymore or maybe there is. To win another championship like what they are doing years ago.
On the other hand, Klay has so much to prove. He didn't play for 2 seasons and many are saying that he isn't the Klay that we use to see to play anymore. Many are doubting him right now because of him didn't play in the last 2 seasons. Many are saying that having another injury again will end his career.

As for me, the Warriors team is still a dangerous team. Its like that we aren't seeing them that noisy right now because of other teams like the Lakers or Bucks or the Nets but they still have it. They won a championship years ago and they might do it again. With Splash Brothers + Green healthy all throughout the season, they can be a championship contender. I just hope that injuries will not spoil their run this season.
It's normal for people to doubt Thompson because he got injured seriously, and not being able to play for 2 seasons that's another thing. However, let's not judge him yet, despite let's support him to bring back his confidence and be still the sharpshooter that he used to be.

Maybe he can't get the stats he had prior to his injury, but for sure with his presence, he will be a big contributor to the team.

My favourite team in the new season is going to be Brooklyn Nets again. They would have become the champions in the last season also but they struggled with injuries a lot. I hope to see them more powerful in this season and they should be able to qualify for the finals nicely.

This is the latest regarding Klay Thompson rehab:

https://twitter.com/warriors/status/1440085974369767427?s=20

So he is still on the calendar to play on the upcoming season. One of the most anticipated comeback I guess as he was out for 2 years already. And so far the news is all positive regarding his recovery. Of course, the real test will be his comeback game, so we can see if he can bounce back again and go back to his usual outside shooting.

As far as I know Thompson will not start to play until January, so we might have to wait to see the splash brothers in action. I think Steph can still carry the team without Thompson and then wait till he gets back. They are still a legitimate them, last season was Curry's best in my opinion and he is hitting his prime years. So they are really scary and could be the dark horse in the powerful Western Conference.

Yeah anytime steph is on the court there is a chance for a win.  Wonder how klay will do this year.  Shame because the kid was really looking like one of the best shooters in the game.  2 rough injuries to shake off, be surprised if he ever gets back to where he was.  I imagine when he comes back he will be a spot shooter.

We can only hope that Klay will be back as if nothing happens, just like what we witnessed with Durant last season. So still a make or break for Thompson, if he is completely heal then we might see him spot shooting and playing good defense as well. GSW is silently building a championship team, no hype around them because the Lakers are taking all the noise in the WCF.

It's really a shame that Reddick is retiring.

However, hopefully he will be able to invest some of that newfound time into his podcast which is definitely blowing up right now.
Right, I once tuned in his podcast and I was shocked when I heard his voice. It was deep and a good fit for a news anchor, radio DJ, or even as an ESPN sports commentator. Why don't they just hire them for that position and kick all those trying hard stammering guys.  Roll Eyes

Sixers have done everything in their power to trade Ben, however, it seems that teams are not willing to get Simmons. I agree that Sacramento might be a good team to land Simmons, however, we can't find any news that will validate our speculations.
Still no confirmation if he will go to play with Sacramento, if there's deal that being cooked away from the noise of social media but with how he deals with his issue playing for Sixers, not attending the training camp is a hell for him. The fine that he will need to pay would hurt him in the long run. If there's nothing happened with his demand trade, he doesn't have any other option but to sit and wait for any deal to happen.

Good riddance for JJ Redick, one hell of a career, he can still play ball but I guess everyone has a priority and for him that is his family.
Maybe, same with how Gasol sees this pandemic, Reddick chooses to stay with his family and enjoy life. Nothing to prove, as he already shown everything he got. He will be remembered as one of those long range deadly shooters for sure.

^^ First of all, if you sign a free agent you always make think that you got a good deal for free. Especially when the player is young and you can build him up for the future, but sometimes it's not that easy. Considering IT's age, it's highly unlikely that people will so much interest in him. Even if he is a free agent. Well sure you can buy him for free but I highly doubt that he will be given anything more than a filling role in almost any team. But as a coach, he might prosper. A lot of players who were not so good in their Glory days have shown real promise as a coach. But as a player, I think his time has come.
Yes, you are right and I agree with that. Let's see how the things will behave in the future, there are great chances that the possible return of IT will not be so impactful if he were younger.

Regarding the injuries of NBA players, we can see this statistically, it is extremely rare for a player who has been seriously injured at an advanced age (around 32, 34 years onwards) and who went back to playing the way it used to be.

Honestly I don't know any players, I think maybe Durant could fit in, even though he's not in his prime before.

Ben Simmons now officially not reporting to training camp. Seems Vegas is betting he’ll be on the Minnesota Timberwolves before the season starts. I’m still thinking Sacramento but we’ll see.
Hate is real. This is not what I expected from professional players.
Whoever his agent is, he should pursue making Ben attend the training camp to avoid losing money.
Fans are doubting it is just a management issue, this kind of activity is starting to look like a locker room issue also.

I was surprised to hear JJ Redick retired officially today also. One of the better shooters in NBA history. He’ll be missed.
Playoff lucky charm out.  Grin 13 playoffs appearance streak. One of the longest in the NBA tied with Lebron James. Wow.
Sure, he will be missed. Also, one of the top sharpshooters even with a running shot.

Man I was wrong looks like Simmons is holding pat.  Sixers said they got terrible trade offers for him.  If I were the sixers I'd let him not show up.  Fine him $220,000 every game he doesn't show up for.  Pretty punk move on his part.  I'd find out where he least wants to go and take whatever that team has to offer for him after midway through the year.  Good luck to the kid coming back to Philly for a game, will need his own security lol.
Maybe a $220k fine is normal for every missed day during training camp. However, I think that fine for every missed game in the regular season should be much higher, especially since Simmons isn't going to return to the 76ers next season. So this situation might be a stalemate for both sides.
I think the fine is for every missed game, don't know about training camp days, probably a smaller fine.  Watching this one out.  Knowing his stance no te is going to offer Philly much he definately screwed Philly over.  Kid better hope he goes put west he isn't going to like having to come to Philly to play lol.  Them fans are bananas lol.

But still that is still a huge fine per game missed. These players are being paid in multi millions, but if he decided to sit the entire season, that will be huge amount of money. Stalemate so far, but I think Philly still has the last say in everything obviously. But Ben career will not be the same, as the stigma are going to stick with him. Actually, it's already is, as no team are willing to get him as this point. Sacramento? Charlotte? at what expense for this team?

Very interesting.

I wonder if the 76ers will take further action when it comes to this stuff.

They seem to say in media releases that they do plan on fining Ben Simmons if he doesn't turn up to training camp. But the fine seems so small that it really doesn't make a difference to Ben. I agree that Sacramento is the prime destination for him right now.

He would also fit into a coaching role pretty much anywhere and everywhere as a shooting consultant. He miss be missed.

Simmons definitely won't be missed from Philly - the fans just want him gone asap at this time. 76ers will probably delay for as long as possible to get a good deal though.

They might say that but Simmons has made us his mind that he doesn't want to play with his team anymore, and this will force the management to trade him immediately. I'm not actually aware that Kings would be his probable destination, I was hoping he will still be traded with the Golden State Warriors.

Whatever best for Ben and his team, I'll support it as I believe Ben has more to offer that his new team will appreciate.

It is definitely a punk move on Simmons' part, but he's doing it because it puts the Sixers in a tough spot.  If they start fining him and leave him sitting on the bench, that will be horrible for him personally and professionally.  That looks bad on your organization as future free agents you might want to sign will remember what happened to Ben Simmons when he decided he didn't want to be there anymore.  The obvious move is to send him to Sacramento where he'll probably never see the success he just cowered from in Philly.

Yep Sac or stick him in Charlotte.  I think Philly will actually be absolved of anything they do.  They can easily say that they didn't receive considerable compensation for him and will look around the trade deadline.  Put the ball in signs court.  If he doesn't show face fine Hina. Quarter mil a game, if he shows up ride him on the bench and put him in with 1 minute to go in blowout games to get his boos.  Wouldn't deal with this crap

New Orleans did redick dirty probably why he retired.  They confided in him on his wish to play for the Knicks or Nets as his wife and kids live in Brooklyn.  They told him they wouldn't trade him to anyone but them...then got traded to Dallas lol.  I know it's a business but that's probably a big reason, ready for that family life.
