once upon a time he was a great defensive player but nowadays he is not even that anymore.
More like an understatement to me, just because he was 30+ years old? I don't think so but experience matters in a basketball scene and his presence in the recent playoff defending Booker was the result of being as defensive as he was. I'm not that being defensive to him but the dude clearly shows up that he still has that hustle. He may not be at his prime anymore but educate another player with that kind of play he has and that kind of spirit lives on.

He is still one of the best defensive player we have in the league, no doubt about it. He can still shutdown anyone from guard to shooting guard. He has quick hands and can read the defense as well. But I think that problem with Bev is that he is sometimes too aggressive and uses more of his mouth that's why he will get a technical fouls or worst ejection.

The reason he was traded is not probably due to the decline of his performance, it's more like his attitude that he showed in the playoffs which is not acceptable for the NBA, I believe he was penalized on that. he was fined one-game suspension after pushing CP3 in the final game.

I think no teams will take that as a reason in terms of trading a player. That attitude is common in the league.

Can you share with us a link stating that's the reason for his trade? If that's the reason, I found it unprofessional.

Perhaps he was referring to Pat breaking Devin Booker's nose without any penalty or infraction from the NBA? For me, it looks like intentional, that's just my honest opinion.

I think he was traded because of other reasons though, maybe the Clippers is over the salary cap and then want to offload some players and the best choice is to let go of Pat. In which he was use as a leverage by the Grizzlies.

Pat Beverly to be traded again, this time to Timberwolves, second time in as many days that Pat has moved.

Yeah, he could play PG for the Wolves and he said via his twitter that he is happy with the trade. Wolves is a young team and Pat will be a good match because of his experience and his tenacity.

I like this trade.  Jarret Culver is a nice piece.  Wierd that the wolves gave up on him after just drafting him.  Still on a rookie deal.  Kid had serious game when he was a Texas tech and has had flashes in the NBA where he looked like he could be part of a young core piece for them.

Thomas trained with LeBron James and Russell Westbrook on Tuesday and, moreover, he has already worn the Lakers' jersey. Despite his lack of continuity in these last seasons, Thomas could be the right profile for the Californians.
It's not surprising that Lebron and Thomas trained together, considering that they already were teammates in the Cavs in season 17/18. Anyway, it will be a great opportunity for Thomas to resume his career in the NBA if the Lakers decide to sign a contract with him.

His salary is not that much, I thought he had a max contract but I was wrong.
https://hoopshype.com/player/isaiah-thomas/salary/

I also don't know if he is already signed by the Lakers, but I believe if they will, he can be a great help on the floor if they'll give him more playing opportunities. He might be a liability in the defense but his offense is very impressive.

but PatBev doesn't have that talent at all, once upon a time he was a great defensive player but nowadays he is not even that anymore.

I disagree with that, if you see his contribution in the playoffs, you might change your statement. I believe the talent is there, in fact, I'm impressed with his defensive skills but the only problem is his attitude as he anymore playing based on the rules of the game, he lose the sportsmanship and he was just too arrogant to think that he can guard and possibly hurt anyone.

Lol, and pat bev tweeted "grit and grind!!!" on twitter just the other day lol, and now he is gone. Let's face it, dude is not wanted anywhere to be fair, if he was even a slightly bit of a decent player would anyone trade him for culver and hernangomez? I mean sure they are not horrific players neither but nobody decent would be traded for those two.

PatBev thinks of himself way too much and he needs to realize right now that dude is basically done, finished, he is 30+ year old something that teams move around just to not have him in the locker room with their happy players, dude would ruin that big time and a known locker room cancer when people are not as fired up as he is. I get that he plays with a fire in his gut and I get that, which is a great thing when you are a marvelous player, Kawhi is a great player and yet doesn't seem to have that, PG13 as well, give that fire to those two and you get yourself maybe the best player in the league, but PatBev doesn't have that talent at all, once upon a time he was a great defensive player but nowadays he is not even that anymore.

Hope to see him happy when he already playing with the Wolves,

That team was already a good contender back then, when they still have Wiggins, KAT, DRose and Butler. But they did not maintain that squad instead, they trade those stars to another team and until now, the process of bringing good role players to work with KAT still unsuccessful. Maybe Pat may add some good spice for them.

KAT's talent can be used somewhere, he can win a championship if he leaves Minnesota Timberwolves. It's not yet late for him though, just like Kevin Love back then, he was averaging a double-double but the team is unsuccessful, however, when he transferred to the Cleveland Cavaliers, that's where he got his championship.

Why do most of the players are happy when they signed with the New York Knicks? I just don't understand the idea behind it.
https://www.nba.com/news/kemba-walker-perfect-timing-in-moving-to-knicks
Quote
NEW YORK (AP) — The “Welcome to New York” signs decorating the outside of Madison Square Garden and hanging behind him were nice, though unnecessary.

Kemba Walker needs no introduction around here.

He’s a New York native who was already playing at Madison Square Garden in high school and made a memorable buzzer-beater during a historic Big East tournament run while playing for Connecticut.

Now he gets to see what he can do while playing there for the New York Knicks.

“It’s going to be better,” Walker said. “Ten times better.”
I knew Jordan loved playing at New York because of the crowd but never as an addition to their roster. It's the thrill of playing against them that makes him want to come back there over and over again.
Crowd clapping and cheering for you even if you are the away team as long as you amaze them with a record breaking game and something they didn't see for a long time.

He should do well with a young team as long as he knows how to convey his leadership and playing style to these players without hurting their feelings. Was it Jimmy who had a run in with a young talent which also caused his transfer to Miami?

Yeah, he is what we call impact players, his presence and defence in the floor can change the complexion of the game.

I think it's a fair offer from the Boston management, nothing fancy what he is worth that money for them. Not to compare on Dennis case though, he thinks he is worth more, but we all know that $80million is already too good a offer from Lakers. And it's good that Smart accepted it and wanted to remain a Celtics in the next coming years.

Perfect term! he brings impacts each time he's playing, giving more energy and moral support for both Tatum and Brown the same way Green brings to Splash bro, something that motivates you when you are inside the court.

I love to have players like that, a team can rely bringing good defense and some good plays to open up stars to take easier shots, Smart is someone that every teammates wanted to have when playing, not a scorer type but can kill opponents defense and stick on you when he needs to stop you for your offensive attacks.

Value for money, Boston take a good pick here $77Million to keep a role player that really performed his task.

Los Angeles Lakers are looking for players to improve their roster, with the priority set to find a point guard: the Lakers are evaluating Isaiah Thomas, Darren Collison and Mike James. Signing these three players is not imminent, but the Lakers intend to deepen their contacts with the athletes and their entourage.
The Lakers have 12 players with a guaranteed contract and they want to sign two more players, leaving an open spot for next season: Thomas trained with LeBron James and Russell Westbrook on Tuesday and, moreover, he has already worn the Lakers' jersey. Despite his lack of continuity in these last seasons, Thomas could be the right profile for the Californians.

Grizzlies traded him to the Timberwolves.

The Memphis Grizzlies are trading Patrick Beverley to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Jarrett Culver and Juancho Hernangomez, sources tell ESPN.
Some say T'wolves decision is a bad one but I disagree again. (Pat didn't feed me anything, don't worry.) I just like Pat for whatever team he drops in, they will be a playoff contender and better WCF. His defensive style is contagious and some players need that to boost their morale even on a losing game.
We will see if they really made a bad trade here, or it could be proved wrong.

JaVale McGee!!!
https://www.nba.com/suns/suns-sign-javale-mcgee
Suns just recently signed him in their roster. It adds more energy in the bench. Also, we remember how the Suns were having troubles looking for a back-up for Ayton after Saric was injured. This could be their guy. 3-4 minutes for every quarter just to give Ayton the breather, protect the rim and try to not make any mistakes.
1-year, $5 million. Cool.
Well, I know that they will make a move like this already because they almost win the championship already if only they have a reliable 2nd center.
Now with the addition of McGee, the Suns Backcourt will be stronger now because of him. He improved already thanks for the Warriors and he isn't the McGee years ago where he is the star of Shaq-Tin A Fool Cheesy.

I just hope that the Suns and Coach Williams will make use of him more often and give him some minutes .

You're probably right. If the Suns had signed him in the previous season, he would have been very useful to them in the final series, especially in defense against Giannis. However, it's worth noting that signing the contract with McGee isn't still enough for the Suns to be a contender for the title next season.

No, Suns is intact last year, they have a good team chemistry, it's just that Saric went down on Game 1 against teh Bucks. And it even they have Javale that time, I don't think he can defend Giannis, maybe challenge him in the air, but for sure he will commit some fouls along the way.

Stil good move though for the Suns to get Javale based on his experience with the Lakers as a back up center for Ayton.

Yeah they have good team chemistry but unfortunately they are lack of courage after Bucks keep winning on their game, Maybe they should adjust to that situations and their roosters should step up towards this situation and they need to handle the pressure so that they can win the finals. Maybe we can see a different Suns next season since they add a good center which can contribute on depensive ends as well as a little much scoring.
