It’s official Carmelo Anthony has signed a one-year deal to play on the Los Angeles Lakers next to LeBron James. Between Carmelo Russell A.D. and LeBron that is going to be one hell of a team. I’m genuinely excited to see the season start so I can watch them all play together.

Chris Paul stays with the Suns on a new 4 year deal (insane).
Demar Derozan to the Bulls on a 3 year deal…
Dwight Howard to the Lakers.
Kyle Lowry to the Heat.

Big morning!

Knicks going after Fournier, think that would be a great pickup.  Also resigned Burks, Noel and D Rose like those keeps.  They don't need a splashy pickup but I'd love to see Dame time in a NY jersey.  Hopefully the continuity will help next year.

Fans love DRose and for sure it's a wise decision for the management signing him back, he's home as I see him playing, enjoying and loving those players behind him.

They need some more experienced and if they managed to convinced Dame plus other good role players to help them up New York may achieved more from what they've reached last season, maybe they are back now being contender no longer a trash team after advancing to the ext round though they fell short, better than from all those long years.

Russell Westbrook had a quite good season. In the last season, he got 22.2 points, 11.5 rebounds and 11.7 assists on average. Now he has joined Los Angeles Lakers and made the trio with Lebron James and Anthony Davis. I wonder what the new Lakers will do in the new season. I would really like to see a NBA final series between Lakers and Nets.

I'm not saying that Butler will disappoint the Heat management though but they trust him that is why they gave him a max contract and now that they got Bam and Lowry, I think this Heat team is one of the contenders in the championship at least for me.
The Heat starting lineup looks good after signing Lowry, and they might have potential. However, I guess it isn't enough to be a contender for the championship next season because they still have a weak bench.
p.s.
By the way, it looks like Andre Drummond signed a one-year contract with the 76ers.

Caruso just signed with the Bulls. I didn’t see that coming. Too bad. He was one of my favorite players on the Lakers. 37 million dollars, I don’t blame him. I was hearing the Lakers were trying to get him for 2 years and 18 million. Gotta get that bag while you can. Congrats to Caruso and good luck on his future. I guess the Lakers knew what they were doing in the draft.
Caruso's a rising star, let him be on the team that he wants or what he thinks pays the most, you've said it already, got to chase that bag right and I think that he will only grow because the diversity in the teams that he is playing with is going to help him in the long run, not to mention the connections and networks he will form during his transfer.

Acquiring Butler from the last Bubble brings the fans back to Miami,

Management see that so they can't let this star to go and find another team, it's  about how
they'll secure those fans to keep supporting the team and adding Lowry may complete them as Big 3.

don't get me wrong but that's how I see this, they want to continue being contender and Butler and Bam have a good
connection they just need another star who can add the damage when both of them are being trap or have a bad night.
That game in the bubble against Lebron James was the reason Miami Heat made Butler their new franchise player.
It's the inconsistency that I don't like about him. But maybe with the addition of Lowry, it will go away.
Let's admit it, they are at worst when Dragic was playing, maybe it's his age. They don't really have the pointguard material in their midst.
Herro is still inexperienced and Nunn also is not the playmaker type. Let's see what chemistry they can develop now that Lowry is around.

I'm not questioning the Heat's decision to reciprocate what Butler has achieved with this team but I still think it's too much. He's a veteran and he probably won't play at the same level he did two years ago. I also don't see any other team that would compete for his services if the deal is $35 million annually for four years.

Miami fans are solid to the tam whoever plays there as long as they can deliver results. I meant no disrespect but I don't think there's a lot of Butler die hard fans out there that the Heat should spend extra millions to keep him. Respectful fans but not die hard fans.

I respect Butler and what he accomplished in the "bubble" but I find his contract to be too much. His agent did a really good job here but don't you think Miami should have put some of that money on younger talents?

Woohoo. Thank you for summarizing all of that and the update. I only saw Lowry's trade in Twitter as I was watching Olympics Basketball men the whole day.
Didn't even had the time to look at my smart phone for Woj's tweets.
CP3 is just trying to maximize his contract for a secured retirement. Thankfully, the Suns are open to that idea and gave it to him.
Lowry, Butler, Robinson, and Bam. Baaam! I bet this is going to be a good year for the Heat. It's not Duncan Robinson for the trade, I am sure about that because they just gave them the new deal.
According to Woj, it could be Dragic and Precious Achiuwa.

I think that they will do what the 76ers did to Ben Simmons where he signed a huge contract but he disappointed the whole management with his performance especially in Playoffs.

What they need right now is a 2nd shooter since I think that they will do everything to improve how Herro is playing even though he didn't played well last season and a defender (wingman). I expect for the Heat to make some trades in the following weeks Cheesy.

P.S. I forgot that Miami also got PJ Tucker too so they have a solid defender already. Maybe another big would be good for the team too. We just saw how Bucks dominated the paint this post-season Smiley.

... Robinson since he also signed a $90M deal.
...Lowry signed with the Heat for a 3 year $90M.
It's crazy to think someone who was undrafted would have the same deal with an all-star and a champ hehe.

Rumors are that Kyle Lowry is about to sign a deal with the Miami Heat. This is a bit surprising to me, but I guess that is as close to a contender as he could get. I know he really wanted to win a ring and play with his friend Derozan again (they still talk on the phone daily). Maybe we’ll see Derozan try to make his way to Miami as well, but I’ve heard nothing to indicate that.

I think Lowry already confirmed it thru his twitter:

https://twitter.com/Klow7/status/1422325852709216256

I guess when Lakers took WB, it's the end of the deal for Lowry to be LA bound. So him and DeRozan playing together again might be out of the picture. But I don't know how will he be a perfect team for Miami though, unless Miami offload some of it's players so that Lowry will have minutes to play.

Very positive news, Miami Heat really needs a good PG and Lowly is so fit with the team as he came from a defensive team. Dragic is not getting any younger, he is now inconsistent so Butler needs someone who can be trusted in managing the floor and Lowry fits the job well. One step at a time, now more big movement of players, Lowry is enough to make Heat a great team again.

Looks like many trades, sign and trades are happening around the NBA this off season.
Today, many things happened.

Lonzo Ball signed a 4 year $85M with the Bulls.
Jarrett Allen re-signed with the Cavaliers on a $100M 5 year deal.
Olynyk signed with the Piston for a 3 year $47M.
Mike Conley re-signed with the Jazz for a 3 year $68M
Butler re-signed with the Heat for a $184M for 4 years.
Lowry signed with the Heat for a 3 year $90M.
CP3 resigned on a 4 year $120M deal. He turned down a one year $40M+ offer by the management because he wants to be on the team for a longer time.
Jeff Green, who is a big piece in the Nets during the Postseason will go to the Nuggets for a 2 year $10M deal.
Crowd Favorite Portis signed a 2 year $9M with the Bucks and he turned down offers from Dallas & Miami which they offer higher salary.
... and many more..

Didn't enumerate all because it's many but a quick search on google and you will see the trades that happened today Smiley. LINK
Today, the Lowry signing to the Heat is what I like the most but the question is who will be traded to the Raptors? I saw that Dragic is the one but there is some saying that it might be Robinson since he also signed a $90M deal.

That's sad to see Caruso moving out of the Lakers as he is one of the crowd favourites. But I guess that's the last of the last Lakers championship players not name Lebron James and Anthony Davis. Who wouldn't like Caruso's high flying and highlight dunks? But in any case, it was a good career move for Caruso and hopefully he can be a good fit for the Bulls next seasons.

Speaking of Lakers, they've re-sign Dwight Howard for the 3rd time as confirmed by Dwight's agent. And they also added another former Laker, Trevor Ariza as well. So (un)-officially, the Lakers becomes the oldest team in the NBA.

I think it's easier for Antetokounmpo to get out of the Bucks than to bring an allstar to Milwaukee.
For example, I believe it is more plausible for Antetokounmpo to go to the Warriors, Clippers or Nets, than Klay, Kawhi or KD to team up with Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee.
Which NBA team wouldn't want Antetokounmpo to play for their team? lol, pretty much all (or maybe most)

Actually, that subject shouldn't be discussed for now because in case you missed it, Giannis says he won't work with other superstars.

I mean, if we dig more about that, it's not making sense since, after all, the primary player we are talking about is not even interested. Since if he really wants to transfer, he can do it before as they are choking in the playoffs despite having a good record year by year.

He mentioned some of his thoughts related to working with superstars in the NBA Finals interview.

I like that point of view and respect ginnis for that.  More NBA players should want to play against the best and not with the best players.  This whole superteam takes some of the fun out of basketball.  3 players and a bunch of other guys on the court and bench to pass them the ball.  Wish they would lighten up on the foul calls too, like hand checking that's rediculous.

"BREAKING: Lonzo Ball lands a 4 year / $85M contract with the Chicago Bulls" 🚨

Looks like there's one on the poll that already switch off.

I don't see any point on why he will leave bucks, they already got perfect piece for championship and recently they already accumulated one so provably he will stay on the team which drafted him and also I believe that bucks will also get another good players which can help them defend their title so we cannot really see Giannis departing and this rumors will just fade away.
I don't think he'll leave the Bucks, I'd like to see Superstars that wouldn't leave a team when they can make a championship already without some superstar. They can intact the 2020-21 roster and we still don't know who would gonna leave on their team, we may expect Giannis but I guess the lad will be at Milwaukee now that they are a ring contender.

Edit: Dwight Howard returned to Lakers once again.
