LeBron vs LaMelo turned out to be a good game. The Lakers took home the W while LeBron out scored LaMelo 37 to 26. Both players had great games though. The rate at which LaMelo Ball is improving is scary. He looks like he’s going to be an all star very soon.

LaMelo is absolutely one of the rising stars we have to watch out. He plays safely and make sure that every play he will be making is a sure score. We rarely see him make a mistake and that is one good player. He still scored double digits despite playing against a team with great defenders and as long as he keeps his head down and hopes high, he will surely get the respect of everybody he is playing with and its a good thing that his dad is not meddling with the kids business anymore.

His dad could be just waiting for the right timing, lol.. .

LaMelo's dad said he would beat MJ in one on one game, fans will never forget that.

LaVar Ball Says He'd Beat Michael Jordan 1-on-1 with 1 Arm Tied Behind His Back

Hahaha, Lavar really is a different guy but now Jordan basically owns his son. Its also Lavar's upbringing on why LaMelo is a great player because of his experience with playing better players at a young age. Its also Lavar's fault on why LiAngelo is not on any teams at the moment but I hope that some teams would give him the chance despite his past.

Lavar should really try and stop interfering with his sons because its bad media for them and the kids dont want anymore flak from known players/past players.

For awhile we should also talk about how great the coaching staff of the Nets, Harden is not this good when he was still playing with the Rockets while Steve Nash just unleash his true potential so Harden has become a better version though he already played as an MVP caliber.
It's overall praise including them. No one gets left behind when a whole team is being praised. And when it's about the talks for the MVP, that's when fans are going to be divided with our thoughts.  Tongue

It's just amazing to witness if Nets will win the NBA championship and Steve Nash will get his first award which is the coach of the year, that is gonna be a big achievement for him because he never experience a championship when he was still a player but getting a championship win as a coach and coach of the year, that is so fulfilling.
Hopefully that he'll be getting the ring for this year. Nash is determined and being part of the team, he's also contributed who shall be part of the roster and decided to choose those main players that we're seeing with him right now.
It's really fulfilling if the team gets the ring and he's also awarded as the coach of the year. He deserves it.

Nice chart of efficiency in last 15 games.  Suns, Nets and Nuggets in the lead. All of them with very good offence and decent defence.  49ers, Bucks and Lakers bet on defence. Defence is wining the championships on the end.

LaMelo is absolutely one of the rising stars we have to watch out. He plays safely and make sure that every play he will be making is a sure score.
An attitude that really brings the talent to the high level, he's greater than his bro, he's stats is really amazing. If he continue playing

like this and he's teammates to  back him up all along, he's career got a good future to come.

Quote
We rarely see him make a mistake and that is one good player. He still scored double digits despite playing against a team with great defenders and as long as he keeps his head down and hopes high,

Keeping his head down and not to follow his father's attitude, he have the quality and skills, he just need to keep on improving it.

He quietly proving his worth, and unlike with his brother, he created he's name by his performance and not just by

media hypes.

Yep, not a player but with being a coach, must be fulfilling if Nash and Nets will win the NBA championship for this year. During his prime he is one of the best, specially when he was with Phoenix, those games against Kobe and the Lakers are still in my memory. Kobe dunking him, arms extended.

His chances are high that Nets with the 3 superstars will go to the finals, perhaps Bucks and Philly are going to be the 'thorn', so to speak.
Surprisingly, D'Antoni was head coach of the Suns when Nash was at the peak of his form as a player, and now Nash is head coach, and his assistant is D'Antoni.  Both have changed their roles, but they still have a purpose and a great opportunity to win the first ring of their career.

Definitely his numbers are an allstar caliber. He just need to be more efficient with his FG percentage and this kid will become unstoppable regardless of how awkward his shooting form is lol. However, Anthony Edwards really showed us why he's the number 1 pick and most likely to win the ROTY closely against Lamelo at this point of time. I'd really love to see them improve and become a more mature pro player on the coming years.
So far, these two rookies are my fave, an explosive scorer and an all around player just like how LeBron was built.

His Dad really loves talking exaggerated things to hype up his sons. I mean it's not bad to support your son, but not the kind of support that he keeps talking sh*t.

That was a good matchup earlier and Lamelo could really match up to those star players. Maybe if he keeps that kind of game he will improve just before the end of this season and his teammates are doing good and they are in the current top teams in the playoffs. Man, this is a big chance for a rookie like him to get a chance to play in the playoff game where everyone is going to be serious each time they play.

Yes, very soon.  Wink
I was focused on LaMelo the whole game. He made use of his passing skills to be his hesitation move attacking the paint.
Most of his tear drops are inside the paint.
Every game this kid keeps on improving and veterans should watch out for him. He may not have the shooting style but he can make adjustments with his weaknesses. All-around player, it's very rare to find a player like this. MJ should keep him offering long term contracts.

But the awkward shooting style of his is very effective for him so no need to change.

Watch the game, yeah it was very exciting, we would have thought that Ball will really improve specially this year. I guess he has so much confident in his game now that regardless of who he is facing, he will just play his usual games, shooting, assists to his team mates. Let's wait till he enter his prime years.

He trying to prove that Ball is not a fraud, lol. His brother failed us on our expectation but he is there to correct and make the name "Ball" to be a great player in the sports. He is just a rookie, of course its his first year but he is already shooting maturity and the good news is Hornets might get into the playoffs where bigger challenge is waiting for him and for the team.

But its a total ball game right now, he is somewhat doing a great job with the Nets and hopefully one day he can also be called NBA champion.

I can already see that he will win a championship this season, there's a lot of doubt on him handling a super team but thus far, he did a great job and we are all seeing that.

At a rookie who can match Lebron that way, I guess he is really exceptional, he is not just a hype but a real star and I guess our expectation was surpass by LaMelo Ball and I'm happy with that.

Nash even joined Kobe in the Lakers hoping they can win a championship but it's not really his fate but good thing he didn't give up in basketball and he became a head coach. IIRC, he will be like Steve Kerr that won the coach of the year during his first season as a head coach of the Warriors, the only difference is Steve Kerr won a championship when he was still a player of the Bulls.
It was a disaster actually when Nash join the Lakers, too many superstars and most of them are in the downside of their career that's why they didn't win any championship back then. Yeah, he could be the next Steve Kerr, but obviously, Nash is the better guard between the two, even winning MVP honors.

But its a total ball game right now, he is somewhat doing a great job with the Nets and hopefully one day he can also be called NBA champion.

Yes great achievement nash almost have a ring in phoenix if not, with the controversy with the spurs and officiating when he had suffered a broken nose and bleeding in the court, that would be great but I think he has now the opportunity, te be called as champion if they will defeat the west contender in the finals, because east is just too easy for them at the moment.

Yes, I think he might become emotional if ever they will win it.
They are a great team before. Nash, Amare, Bell, Richardson and Hill.
He even got a 2 time season MVP but yet they could not complete it until the Finals.

If ever, this will be like his redemption and that includes the other Suns team back then. Mike as their coach before (asst. coach now) and Amare as player development assistant.

Not just for Steve Nash but for the Nets franchise. The last time they went to the Finals was in 2003 as a New Jersey Nets led by Jason Kidd.

For Coach of the Year, Brooklyn Nets just need to maintain at the top of the standings as the criteria for this only applied to regular-season games regardless of the result in their post-season run.
