I wouldn’t count it out either. All other things considered, he could be looking to retire with the team where he had most of his personal success. They have a decent team and definitely a better shot at a playoff run then the Spurs do.

Yeah! he was playing strong with that team and they were competitive regarding their own skills when Portland was a less Brandon Roy due to the injury, they take over the team and manage to get to the playoffs together with Dame. unfortunately, they're always lost in the playoffs and they cannot get to the conference finals no matter what they do. This man should be signed with another team since he still capable of giving support to the star players especially who have the less big man on their team.
Right, he move to the Spurs, so much hype to be the next Tim Duncan, or at least he as molded to be the successor. He also has initial success with San Antonio with still the remnants of Manu and Parker and Kawhi Leonard. But after the break out and numerous injuries, he wasn't the same. Time for him to move to a team that needed his services. It will be a cinderella story if he will go to Portland and retire as a Trailblazers.

LeMarcus Aldridge has left the Spurs to pursue other opportunities. Could this be the free agent the Lakers have been looking for after missing out on Andre Drummond, or will the Nets scoop up yet another potential hall of famer?
If Nets will take him.

That would be an interesting pick for them, it seems that they're not yet contented with the line up but that's only an if.

Looks like it will not end up in this leading teams just my own opinion, too much hype coming but my wild guess is that he gonna goes to an East team instead but it's unlikely on Brooklyn hype again. I'd bet on New York Knicks or at Washington Wizards at least just to out of the current hype.
How about going back to Portland TrailBlazers where his career has blossomed?
I guess if I would have to choose, I would love to see him in a team that really needs a big man that could score and I think he would fit to the Portland.
He had a good years but he is no longer making that impact. Maybe he can still be relevant  for some other teams if he will be used as a backup and getting some limited minutes.

but at the end i don't see much teams interested on giving up anything of value for him. It could be a buyout. Regardless of where he is in his career and what he can contribute, he’s still a plus veteran who can help a team.

But the one we expect here is heat's path for winning over the Nets is so hard that's why it's big adjustment for them on how they can defeat this strong nets roosters these season.
I would not say anything unless I see them play in gambling, in case they'll face each other of course.

Nets has been the most popular teams now because they build a super team and they look like unbeatable lately, so I understand how people think. However, the season is not yet over, there will be a lot of things that will happen and we can expect that.

Well that far to be happen and its healthy to discuss that scenario since it has a possibilities to come, but I really expect that Nets will give a big problem to the heat if they will face on playoff since first they are fully loaded and Heat consist of young guys so experience plus skills will dominate this, but as you said everything could possibly change and let see if Heat will overpower the solid 4 star of Nets once they possibly face in playoffs.

Mavericks managed to beat Spurs 115-104 and they got their 4th consecutive win. Doncic had another impressive game and made a triple-double (22 PTS, 12 REB, 12 AST). But I can't say he was very 'impressive' on his 3-pointers.  Grin  He made only 2 out of 10 3-pts. DeRozan's performance with a double-double (30 PTS, 11 AST) wasn't enough for getting a victory.

How about going back to his former team? Portland?

Trail Blazers can potentially used him, yes they have Enes Kanter, but at least someone as a reliever. Just to fill the gaps, and who knows, maybe he can give them 10 quality minutes a game.

Lakers will be having Davis back if I'm not mistaken, so I don't think they are going to pursue Aldridge at this point.

I go with that, moving back and play once again with his buddy Lilard, I do remember  when he and Lilard still playing together, they are good 1-2 punch just like seeing Stockton and Malone.

They are sharing the court and they are really good in covering each other's ass.

We don't know what might be the next plan for him, maybe there are offers around that still unrevealed, but the sooner we will see rumors or actual discussions with his next move.

Good but no good, Aldridge was way past his prime already, he is too slow, if he still has the agility of a McAgee or Howard then he might be a good addition.

And I don't think that Nets will scoop with up as well, they are already loaded, Lemarcus could be a liability. I think he could be better in the East if he really wanted to pursue other things.

He's 35. I don't know if the Lakers will still try to risk taking him if health issues will be considered.
They could give him a 1 year contract or maybe a 10 day trial like what they use to do right now with new players.
Like try-outs.  Grin
He will be a great addition if he could still perform even with just his post-up mid-range shooting.

Nets aren't getting him. Blake hasn't played a game yet and we could even argue he's not even better than Jeff Green in this current stage of his career. But I expect we'll see flashes of the classic Blake Griffin of old.

Imagining pick and pops with Lebron and Aldridge is nice but he's old and injury prone. Drummond is obviously the better choice.

Either of the two will fit as a backup center, as Anthony Davis is resting, Aldridge is a bit old and so prone to injuries, I'll go first with Andre big body underneath can defend better and score in my opinion, he will be a sure fit with the lakers, this will open up outside for the lakers and will definitely give more spacing with other laker players.

Heat became looks like different when playoffs came so it's not good to downplay them right now since they still have young and reliable rooster which can make other team upset, I think this will became an interesting match up if they would face on the playoffs.
They surprised us last playoffs when they beat the Bucks, then beat the Celtics.
The contribution of Adebayo, Herro, and Robinson are so remarkable, this young fellas have exceeded our expectation, and we hope to surprise us again.

If ever there is a chance to repeat what the Heat did, key players will be those 3 young players.
Robinson had been their sharpshooter but Coach Spoelstra should make some plays just for him to loosen up the defense and make way for Bam and Herro.
Butler will be their emergency play for isolation if ever that attack will fail.
I still believe in teams that have higher chemistry to win the championship rather than chess pieces simply put on a chessboard.

Lots of fans are jumping the Nets bandwagon.  Grin
Twitter is flooded about the Nets.

Not the most exciting games today, but it’s nice to be back to daily games. Already looking toward the playoffs now that the all star break is in the rear view. With Blake Griffin signed now it seems like the Lakers need to grab Drummond and we’ve got ourselves a finals matchup for the ages.

EDIT: Now they’re saying Drummond is going to sign with the Nets!?!?! Insane. The Lakers have no chance against them without more help at the center position.

Nobody seemed to notice, but I thought yesterday was Wednesday. Just throwing that out there. However, my message hasn’t changed at all. Glad to have the NBA back. After the broken up season last year I get a bit anxious whenever games aren’t being played.

The match of Nets is about to come against Knicks. And this would be the first match to see them play with their newest addition.

Blake Griffin.

What are your expectations guys?

A win by the Nets, but I'm not expecting to see an old Griffin that could dominate the inside, his performance with the Pistons would not change a lot and Nets will gain offense from Harden, Irving and their 3 point shooters, Griffin could help but not much as he can make before.
