I bet on Heat this game and I think that worked out though I am also rooting for LA Lakers to win. Maybe because it is the team that's popular but because I have no choice since Miami Heat defeated Milwaukee Bucks and I just wanted for Lakers to beat Miami.
Nice! I don’t think anyone thought that Miami would win after Game 4. What odds did you get on your bet?

Sorry but I am not betting on sites, I am just betting with my friend, we bet on each other. If he picks something that I think would win I do some +2 or +3 on the scores. This time there are no additions since he just bluntly told me that Lakers would win. Bit scared at first since they are wearing the Mamba uniform but they still won.
You'll get more value if you are betting on the sportsbook, currently Heat is +5.5, so you can increase your chance of winning, but that is your choice, anyway, good luck with that, adding some bet while watching would really give you more fun.

To be honest, I am also thinking about that but after reading this thread, I started doubting and having thoughts of how I am risking so much money in sites so instead I will just bet against my friends and have fun with that. Atleast, I can have some trash talks while I'm at it and have someone to talk to even if I lost or I won.

The the discussion in the site is about safe bets based on its odds, not the risk that you might lose your money in a site. Gambling with your friends will prevent you from paying the juice good for you but I suggest to take a look at the betting odds so you'll have a good idea on which team is favorites and what is the point spread.

Lots of people lose in that fight, our expectation was wrong, Lakers can't dominate the Heat, instead Heat had a good start, credit to Jimmy's big performance, a real leader of the team as he also appreciate his teammates to help him, and his coach pop which I believe Lebron doesn't like when he was still playing with the Miami Heat.

I would love to see Jimmy giving proving Lebron that he is the real MVP in this contest.

you think this would happen?

It's a difficult task. Just now, there is so much pressure with the Heat team but they managed to win again.
Now the pressure is on the Lakers.

I think Coach Spoelstra will change something.
Yes, this is Coach Spoelstra strength, unpredictability.

He doesn't want to see Jimmy Buckets going to the side trying to catch his breath again.
They need him as a leader on the floor but the rotation should still keep ongoing.
Even if Butler persists in staying, Coach should still try to pursue him to trust his teammates.
Probably he will rest Jimmy more and then inserted him later in crucial moments.

First, they need to win Game 6, then we could talk about MVP for Game 7.  Wink
Later,  Grin, first they need to win, and then put more pressure on the Lakers in Game 7.

We never know, but if AD would indeed not available in game 6 then I believe Miami will have an edge and Butler would not be having a problem attacking inside, and Bam as well.  But according to this article, Davis would play, so Lakers are still intact.

https://clutchpoints.com/lakers-news-anthony-davis-reveals-update-on-his-game-6-status-for-lakers/

Quote
The Los Angeles Lakers were given a proper scare in Game 5 on Friday against the Miami Heat, with Anthony Davis appearing to have sustained a significant ankle injury that kept him on the floor for a a couple of minutes.

As it turns out, however, it was nothing but a minor tweak, and according to Davis himself, he should be good to go for Game 6:

Will AD be able to play at his fullest though? Now that Bam is also on the court, someone would have to guard him well too.

I believe he can still play, he played with pain in game 5 and manage to score 28 points and 12 rebounds, that doesn't seem look like he has a problem with his heel, and that update was coming from Davis so he is still good to go, nothing to worry.

Good, it's good news for the Lakers if AD can play because they really need him in the floor, it not they Butler will have his way going inside with no one to challenge. I just rewatch the highlights, it seems that the supporting cast of Lakers underperformed when it was needed. Damn, Danny Green's three point was clearly short, it was a well design play, and then Morris? WTF?

And the post interview, Butler was obviously very very tired, we don't know how long can he manage and play and bring Miami to another championship

Lakers already have the edge here, Butler has been playing well but he will be exhausted, with Lakers we have Lebron and Davis who are consistent in their scoring, so I think they will adjust and probably win in game 6.

It's the funny clutch game. I remember when Lebron has ditch Jr Smith for a finals game, I wonder if Lebron has done the same but inside the lockers. That's a winning shot but a lose is a lose.
Don't forget Green's missed wide open three. Both of them failed to end the series with the Mamba jersey. But Morris really did a worse thing there to be honest lol Grin.

But kidding aside, past is past. Even if James blame Morris and mock him a hundred times, nothing will change. That's life, mistakes are inevitable it's jjst so unfortunate for them that it happened in crucial times. Nonetheless, they should move on now and continue making strategies on how to stop Butler and the rest of Heat.

I guess Lakers made a wrong decision, they should have inserted J.R. Smith in the game instead of Morris, so if JR Smith grab that offensive rebound, he will just run away until the clock expires. hahaha

What happen has already happen, they have move on for sure, but honestly I'm expecting JR smith to somehow gain some minutes.

Lmao — Such a troll!!

Morris lost his composure as the clock winding down, well I guess that's because Morris lacks of experience on the big stage.
While Danny Green has been shooting a very poor 3pt shooting percentage throughout the post season, and that was his worst miss of all time of his career.
J.r smith has lost his game IMO, I don't know but maybe that 2018 finals happenings might have ruined his basketball career.

Just to be fair with Morris though, he has been contributing to the Lakers team prior to that mistakes, he has been hitting 3's open and contested, and he was put there to contained Jimmy Butler, and he was really doing good as well, except that shot by Butler in which he was really left out and his hands are no where to be found in front of Jimmy.

However, all of this good things he has done has been erased with that costly turn over, if you look at the reply, the pass was too strong for AD to even attempt to get it. In the case of Danny Green, probably he will remember that missed as well, he was really open, he has the experienced, and he was prepared to take the shot, but you can see that the trajectory was short the moment he released it.

Actually, according to Butler on his interview after the match, it also surprised him that Green missed that shot, and they felt lucky that Green did miss it.

That's what we'll see on Game 6 — what'll Lakers do to "stop" Butler and the team, and if they'll take home the Championship title on that match. Exciting! Grin

If that is true then why the Lakers still sign him? What for, just to sit and get paid? And the fact that they sign him to play in the bubble, that could mean Lakers are expecting some help from JR since he has the experience in big stage, unlike Morris.

Unexpected 3-2.
Very much, but it happened, and now we are not expecting a game 7, but who knows.
I haven't let go of that possibility yet to be honest 😂 but I think that will be since LeBron has not enough sleep to study the Miami Heat plays and players. Really, who knows but if they put up again some good fight I'd expect a Game 7.
I'm a fan of both teams so I'm okay with that.

Lebron says he will not rest, not sleep in one of his interviews because he could rest after the NBA Finals, but it seems not effective. lol. Seriously they need to stop Jimmy, if Jimmy still make the performance in game 5, then it would likely go game 7, but that game 5 was a close game, any team could win in that game anyway.
Maybe he still has a trauma from the 2011 NBA Finals where they've been defeated by the underrated team Mavericks with J.J Barea and his friends (really couldn't get over with those memes on the internet it's like LIS (Last Image Syndrome)). LOL.

The thing is if they go with Jimmy the next time there will be another player that will be explosive either it would be Herro or someone else, what they need is a tight defense the next time.
One of the biggest problem is that you wouldnt know on who would really be boxed out.If they do isolate Jimmy then theres Herro and Robinson.

All of players having double digit score where it means that defense should really be more tight on next game. They should stop Buttler or else we would really indeed see similar
outcome. They shouldnt really be confident this time because they can really make a comeback if Heat will get the next game.

Before this finals, lots had already assumed that this series is over because Heat isnt really good as LA but they do prove out that were wrong, giving out very close game and this
is should Finals do look like.

I really thought the Lakers would close it out last night but as we have seen in the series the Heat don't give up, more so Butler who has kept the Heat alive in the series. This guy really does deserve a ring but I can't see it happening this season even though I have a feeling that this NBA finals could be going to a game 7.

Without home advantage, I honestly think anything is possible in this bubble type format.

Of course, let's not talk about the home court as there has been non in the playoffs or bubble. Heat were down 3-1, they won yesterday now closer to game 7, so they probably work on this more in game 6, we haven't seen so much from Bam yet, who knows he would explode in game 6 to force a game 7, that was just an speculation but you are anything is possible.

You gotta love the Heat game from last night as they simply destroyed Lakers in both half of the game. If this wasn't enough , I saw Lebron so mad at referees for not giving him faults and free trows lmao so even if I'm a Lakers fan, I want Heat to win just because of the gestures of Lebron from last night game.
That's a normal reaction if it's a winning and trophy game for them. Those reactions are also being seen in the normal games that they have before playoffs. It's now dividing the opinion of the fans and people who are watching the remaining games. Before, everyone is on Lakers, now we get to see people want Heat to see which we can't really deny how good Heat is showing.

That turnover from Morris is a hot topic here in our country as I see many posts about it on Facebook. Well, it's somehow a big deal for the team but he's just a person and he makes mistakes. He did good contributions though in their previous games. But you know, people would rather talk about your mistakes rather than the good things you did. *Sigh*
