Iggy is still a good defender, he was very useful in the Heat vs Celtics series and IIRC, he was playing more minutes in game 6 where they close out the Celtics, so I guess he can still guard Lebron as he knows him very well.
Andre is 36 years old, Lebron is 35, it's a good match up in age as i don't see Andre slowed down.

If heat will pull a surprise, and Andre did a better job on BRON, he could win as Finals MVP with 199.95 betting odds (current odds), he should bet on himself.

Right, that's why the stats are very interesting, what I'm just trying to say is that Iggy needs to be active as we haven't seen him that much, maybe game 6 but he shows that he is a veteran by contributing with his 3's.

I'm sure Iggy will be the first option to guard Lebron and will be part of probably 3 man rotation team that will guard Lebron. And probably giving tips to others as well, about Lebron's strength's and weaknesses. I know that Miami shouldn't focus more on Lebron, but limiting him will be a big factor in this finals.

With what has happened in game 1, it looks like the Miami heat has no chance anymore, well, that's the risk now. Lakers has a big chance to win this, it might not be a close series though.

This made it even worse, Lakers are so aggressive, Heat didn't see it coming.

Game 1 beat down. It's like the Miami boys playing against LA men. Looking forward to game 2 and the adjustments the Heat coach will make. I'm pretty sure his boys will try to take revenge. Their embarrassing loss should wake them up from their dream hehe.

Huge blowout win by the LA Lakers, but it's just one win, what I'm worried with the Heat now is Bam's health, hopefully he will be back, he is one of the most important piece of the Heat. While this is a bad news for the heat.

https://heatnation.com/game-news/report-miami-heats-goran-dragic-likely-out-for-rest-of-nba-finals/

I believe they have bad boys to replace him, but they can't replace Bam.

48 points from Russell Westbrook and 43 points from Kevin Durant. Total 91 points, that's very impressive!
This is only duo to score 40+ each since Jordan & Pippen in 1996!
Russel could make high score because the ball always pass to his hands and then he does not also hesitate to shoot in the ring. Likewise with Kevin Durant as he was the scoring champion before way back when he was playing in OKC with James Harden. Now that the key players had been separated with James Harden already in the Houston Rockets and experience appearance on series same as with Russel Westbrook but only Kevin Durant had been into championship with Golden States and become an MVP.

A good point I read. Miami Heat should not just focus on defending LeBron James. Limiting James' activity (which actually we aren't sure if that will be the case) can't really slow down the Los Angeles Lakers' offensive plays. Looking at the playoffs stats, it's obviously that LeBron James is not only the threat unlike in his Cavaliers era that when you remove James, it's a sure loss to Cavaliers*.
Another thing is that if they focus on LeBron, he can just switch from a shooter to a passer throughout the game and that makes him a threat against the heat. Limiting James isn't the priority of the Heat right now since they have elite defenders. What they might focus on is the shaded area because the Lakers have the advantage over the Heat in terms of the players who can be in the paint.

This will be a good match. I'm expecting the series will be over in Game 6. Almost 1 hour before the gme tip-off, can't wait to watch it live.
I'm also here waiting for the match while having some coffee Cheesy. I also expect this series to end in 6 or maybe 5 in favor of the Lakers but I bet Heat in Game 1 Cheesy.

But that review is basic. Coach Eric Spoelstra and the whole Miami Heat surely knows that LeBron isn't only the one they need to be focused. I'm sure they already talked about it on the table especially the concern about dealing with Lakers bigman which is no doubt play a big role why Lakers are here in the finals.

Do you agree guys?
At the end of it, it's still a prediction. Can or cannot happen. But to see such predictions, it's interesting to know the thoughts of other fans and what they like to see from these players.

About the finals MVP, it's likely that Lebron will take it. But there could be a surprise with the other two boys, Butler or AD.

Lebron will most likely get the MVP but i wont be surprised if there are other would be on the selection. Butler and AD are indeed ideal too.

The Lakers and Heat reached the Finals with 12-3 balance sheets in the playoffs. In the regular season, the Lakers and Heat have faced twice and have won the Lakers twice: first in November 95-80 at the Staples Center, then in December 113-110 in Florida. The Lakers seem to be the clear favorite, but before the Bucks-Heat competition also few people bet on Miami. And it is the unpredictability of the Florida team that can make these finals very interesting.
They had been least favorite but unexpectedly they beat out those powerhouse teams in the east and really shook off everyone and now they are fighting against Lakers? Whom would really expect?

The James-Anthony Davis combo will prove more than even the Bubble Heat can handle, and James will have his three-ringed fingerprints all over this six-game series win. He'll lead all players in points and assists, and if Davis gets dragged out to the perimeter, James might take the rebounding crown, too.

Checkmate, in other words.

Prediction: Lakers in six

Finals MVP: LeBron James

It seems that my vote before the start of the season was right as I vote for Lakers ( was to obvious that Lakers will be into the finals and I think that 90% they will be the winners of it ). Remember that Kobe defeated Houston then Nuggets and played against a Florida team into finals and won it so this time looks like the same thing is going to happen but this time with LeBron...I might be wrong but stats don't lie.

Definitely slim as the odds says itself, however, it's still possible as during the time Iggy won the NBA finals MVP, the odds was also high, and lucky are those who bet on that odds even if with a slim chance. So with that said, try to analyze, we still have chance to put our bet.

At 199 odds, you can put $10, that's already almost $2,000 in return, for the whole series, I think we can afford to bet $10 and enjoy watching the game. As a gambler also, we also consider betting on choices where we think we are confident, like the series bet and per game bet, that $10 is just an extra.

Wow! and the chances is how slim betting with such odds?

Both are aging but still have the caliber but unlike LeBron he's body still showing that he can lift the team, when he's on a full battle mode for sure even Butler doubled him up he can still do something and delivered. Let see that tomorrow if who's going to perform well.

Well, I agree Iggy is a good defender, but LeBron is just hard to contain. In 2015 LeBron averaged 35.8ppg, 13.3 rebounds, and 8.8 assists in the NBA finals series. A number which you can't say Iggy and the Warriors did a good job defending LeBron throughout the series. Nonetheless, Iggy is a good piece from both ends of the floor.  The Miami Heat is obviously the underdog with the match up, but I know they can put a good fight like the Denver Nuggets or better.
I'm so excited to see what defensive techniques they'll use to stop LeBron and AD.

Is anyone aware of this situation? Dion Waiters could get a ring regardless of Heat-Lakers result. Such a lucky dude,  Cheesy

Quote
There is no shortage of subplots in the upcoming NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat. Most of them center on LeBron James and the team he left six years ago, which he is facing now in the NBA Finals. But one of the more frivolous, but entertaining storylines, is the case of Dion Waiters’ two teams from the 2019-20 season facing each other in the Finals. And in theory, even if the Lakers lose, the Miami Heat players could vote to include Dion Waiters in their Finals financial bonuses and to give Waiters a championship ring.
There's a big if, because Heat has to vote to include Waiters in their financial bonuses and gets a ring, I doubt the team would do that, that would destroy the essence of the championship.

Also according to this, Andre Iguodala on facing LeBron James in Finals:

Quote
Since the 2015 Finals, no defender has guarded James more than Iguodala, who has held James to 44% shooting on 139 field goal attempts, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

So good stats by Iggy against James, however, we didn't see his full extent if he can still go against Lebron at his age now. So it will be a interesting matchup and see if that stats hold.
