I think everyone who watches the 2020 NBA Season feels that the Lakers will really take it all BUT for some reason, we know that the underdogs or other teams are not gonna let that happen because everybody got their pride on the line. I still think that whatever comes in the way of Lakers, they will try to overcome the challenges and personally, I also wanted the Lakers to win a championship again.
Lakers is no doubt the best team in the NBA right now, although they didn't hold the best record in the NBA in overall but Lebron is a proven champion, plus they have Davis who had a playoff experience and very hungry to win a championships.

In sportsbook they are the favorites so they might likely win, but you are right, there are underdog that could give a surprise, like the NUggets or the Clipperes.

They are, and what I like with Lebron James now is that the Lakers has a great chemistry and Lebron does not need to do it alone this time unlike in the past that he usually carry the team to win, he got Davis on his side who is a dominant big man, this man can dropped 20 to 30 points, depending on the need, so they really are a threat. I feel that the competition this playoffs and in the NBA finals is better compared to the previous.

Lakers is so strong when Lebron and Davis is inside the court but? the team stats slow down when they are setting down so I think for them to get the best record on next opening they should get a good 2nd squad so that whenever lebron and davis is at rest they can rely on their second men on the court. I think they need to let go of some of their players so that they can accumulate a more stronger player on next season.

No doubt for Davis and Lebron, they are a class A superstars, I don't even see a single game where they struggle, we can really rely on them and I understand if majority would bet on the Lakers to win because they are just so good this season.

Bucks on the other hand had the best record but it seems like their loss last playoffs was still fresh in the mind of the fans,  Giannis needs to prove he can also dominate in the playoffs to gain the trust back, personally, I'm not backing the bucks to win, even in the East.

Lets just hope that none of the players that will play through the New NBA season are healthy and well.
When they are healthy they can give the best entertain to us, so I am also hoping for that.

And that's it, the feeling of facing a Covid-19 positive just last month. With that several and repetitive tests done to Jokic, I do hope the virus really leaves Jokic's premises lol.
Good health not just for him but for everyone who is facing the same problem.

Letter: It’s time to forgive Rudy Gobert

He might be the first one to be tested positive in the league but it doesn't mean he is the source.

Unfair if today, there are still people looking to him like that.
Oh yeah!
He made a bad choice and putting his teammates in danger but still, he is not the source.
Whoever it is, it was from the interview that happened.
I don't think no one should be blamed for passing this virus. Who knows if you have it already unless the symptoms will be revealed early.
We must help each other in this pandemic.

Organizers must be very cautious for the season to end successfully. However you feel the thrill of waiting for the NBA games.
2 more weeks.
Everything must go smoothly.

I was eager to see Nikola Jokic after his Covid-19 quarantine. He has gained some weight, I wish his health to be 100%.

New positive cases of COVID-19
Michael Beasley (Lakers)

Harrison Barnes (Sacramento Kings)

NBA athletes need extreme protection to avoid becoming infected. In Florida there is a large outbreak of new positive cases of coronavirus every day.

I think as long as you are not seriously injured, players should be cleared to go into bubble as long as they test negative. I mean just today we learned that Westbrook tested positive right? He didn't went to bubble with rockets neither, so that means he would be staying outside. However as long as he clears in time before it starts or even after it starts, as long as he tests negative eventually and is better, he should be able to join the team, because he no longer has it and can't spread it.

However even with that in mind, dude could still have hard time playing. This is something that risks your lungs and if you have a bit damaged or recovering lungs that means you are going to put overtime on your heart as well. I do not want anyone to have a heart attack on the court because they came back from virus recovery too quickly just to play. So maybe get them there but just for moral support and see how they are doing in small tiny practices first and always get their lungs and other stuff checked out to make sure they are not risking everything.

Well then, hoping for the best. With the tight competition in the West, we don't want to see an incomplete Denver Nuggets lineup once the NBA resume.

1 case is crucial already. It's a bubble.

What I'm seeing is, the season will officially end if the spreads meet the numbers you have stated. 5-10 people can almost cover the whole people inside the bubble once they will do a contact tracing.

There is no reason at all to continue the league if more than 5 will be infected inside that tight security and well-hygieneated bubble.

At this point in time, 2 weeks before the resumption of NBA games even 1 case is crucial but with the case of Jukic where he tested negative just one week after the announcement that he had the virus, i think those who tested positive could still make it. Hope that the NBA will strictly implement protocols so that this resumption will go on as plan.

They don't want to mess up on this and for sure they will implement more strict implementation regarding on health protocols and I believe Jukic will be back in action once he will be verified that his negative and he will finish the quarantine guidelines and also if there's no additional case will happen inside the league. Let see what's the latest updates by this.

And I am backing them when the games resume,  I think he is good to go with that look, he looks very fit.

I'm surprised, he doesn't look skinny compared to the pictures that was previously posted.

I also hope. If in any case the virus spreads with more than 5-10 people around the bubble, I'm sure they'll move the start of the game next month again.

No, I don't think so.
It will be over once they mess it up. It is a chance, not a privilege.
If something goes south then it will be ended by the government to avoid more casualties.

I think the first test on Jokic was more like inaccurate test because the succeeding test gives him a negative results.
Not sure with that one though, just correct me if I'm wrong.

And here's the latest statement regarding players that are confirmed positive with covid-19

Unfortunately there's no tight security inside as there are players who were able to violate leaving the premise, that's a kind of negligence that will put the entire league at risk, imagine how much they spend to prepare for the return and it will just fail? Then we would not be able to witness NBA this year which would also ruined our expectation.

I guess they are getting serious now.

Exactly! LeBron's stats was built with talent, skills, leadership, and experience.
I haven't seen anyone stat padding worst than Harden.

Harden? Noh, there's one worst that him and with that he won and MVP, guess who? Russell Westbrook.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fancy-stats/wp/2017/04/05/russell-westbrooks-triple-double-domination-is-not-as-impressive-as-it-seems/

A triple double guy but on a stat padding way. lol

Speaking of the devil, he have been tested positive for the virus. Hoping for him to get well soon.

Anyway, I mean that's supposed to be Harden and Westbrook. I was just thinking about that game Harden became mad at Austin Rivers for grabbing the last second rebound that could complete a triple double stats
https://youtu.be/Tlo58ur05tg
Then Rivers hilariously apologizing to Harden, making it more obvious the dude is stat padding real hard lol.

~snip~

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver had indicated it’s realistic to believe a person in the bubble will test positive.

I hope there are not severe outbreaks to happen at the bubble. May the odds be favor with the upcoming resume. Cheesy

http://www.nba.com/article/2020/07/12/report-rajon-rondo-lakers-hand-injury

A bad news for Lakers fans out there.

Lakers guard Rajon Rondo out 6-8 weeks with fractured thumb.

Bad news for Lakers, Rondo is very effective for the 2nd unit of the Lakers, this should affect the Lakers chances, and 6-8 weeks is a long period of time as that would also mean he will not be active coming to the most awaiting moments in the NBA season.

I just hope other players can fill the gap while he is resting or out.

We got Quinn Cook and Pope, let's see what they can contribute.

This will really hurt the chance of Lakers, Rondo contribute not just in the court, but off-court wherein we have seen him giving pointers to young players because we all know how experience Rondo is and him gone for the next 6-8 weeks will be a big blow for them. I don't know if Cook or Pope can cover Rondo but they have to step up their level of playing.

I think we will not miss Rondo a lot as Lebron is always there, he is playing the PG position now and we know that this man can play even with little rest just to make sure he can contribute all he can for the team to win. Rondo is always vital to the team, but he is very limited now as they have a similar position with the KING JAMES.

We can see on his minutes played that results to a drop of stats.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/r/rondora01.html

Right, that's why I said not just in the court, but off-court wherein he can share his wisdom as a veteran and experience player and can give pointers to those young and upcoming players in the Lakers roster. Of course, Lebron is the main PG and Rondo is a second stringer now, but those little minutes he played was still valuable to team. Every little things that is intangible can help a team and without Rondo someone needs to step up and cover for him, it could be Lebron as PG.

NBA says only 2 players tested positive for COVID-19 during Orlando bubble quarantine period.

Assuming one of it is, Westbrook that just got announced few hours ago being tested positive.

Quote
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver had indicated it’s realistic to believe a person in the bubble will test positive.

“If we were to have significant spread of coronavirus through our community, that ultimately might lead us to stopping, but we’re working closely with the Players’ Association, with Disney and public health officials in Florida as to what that line should be, and it hasn’t been precisely designed,” Silver told reporters on June 26. “I think we just want to get down on the ground and start to see how our testing is working and how the protocols are working and then we’ll make decisions as we go.”

I hope there are not severe outbreaks to happen at the bubble. May the odds be favor with the upcoming resume. Cheesy

If Curry gets back in shape, will the GSW will become the best team in the NBA again?
I mean, if he is the best player, he can do that without Durant and just like the old days, the Warriors will always rule.

It's a tough question as several teams improved their lineups as the season goes by.

However, we know GSW literally came from scratch to stardom. They can come back to being dominant again.

Want to see them in the competition again with their fully healthy lineup.

Woo, why some of them making the situation worse and don't just abide the simple rules given to them?
 Huh

They take the situation lightly. They think a "simple" task won't hurt at all.

So unfair to those who are following the rule. Hopefully, that would be the last.
