Whining every now and then, if i have a say with the Sixers team, i would ship him out and replace him with a talented and non-vocal one  Grin.

Others might see him as a boastful player but I will choose Embiid to stay with the team. I'd rather ship out Ben Simmons and find another PG to be pair with Embiid. Smiley Simmons is a valuable player to trade and Sixers will get good players in return. Only few big men remain dominant today so I will pick Embiid to stay.

Believed it or not, he is the only Sixers that playing with heart. Remember that when they lose to Raptors last playoffs, it looks like an end of the day to him and literally cried on that loss. Sixers is more on relying on perimeter and inside offense. That's what they need to focus on it and Embiid is the best player to put on that role.

But of course, it doesn't mean that even he will be the main offense, others will not step up.

Joel Embiid Says He's 'Capable Of Carrying The Team' On Offense

Quote
Joel Embiid addressed the Philadelphia 76ers' offensive struggles ahead of the Orlando restart, saying that the offense should run through him.

He is giving an idea on what their opponent would expect, but can he really make his team successful if the offense runs through him?
Is he the on the status of Kobe and Lebron yet?

he also said,

Quote
Embiid also addressed his fit with Al Horford, saying that the duo needed to be surrounded by shooters.

Who shooters he is talking about, they are tall line up so their offense are mostly in the inside.
If he would only choose Horford to be his buddy in the inside, what would happen to Simmons who can't even shoot a 3s.

I think they just need to stick with their strategy, they might have struggled in the regular season but they are in a good advantage in the playoffs as it's a series and adjustments can be done.

He maybe encouraging Simmons to shoot 3's/perimeter jumpers and not just drive to the basket every now and then or maybe he wants Simmons to be traded lol.
But that would not happen I guess because Simmons is not born to be a good outside shooter, but despite of that, he still has a good stats and he can contribute to the team in a way that he is good at.

Quote
Whatever Embiid means, it does not do good to the team if he have a conflict with someone and that is what i have observed from him. Whining every now and then, if i have a say with the Sixers team, i would ship him out and replace him with a talented and non-vocal one  Grin.

Not sure what he really meant, but I think Embiid knows that the management values him in the team so he is that so entitled.
It's time for him to prove this coming playoffs if he is really capable, and I think I can bet on that.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver concerned wave of positive tests inside bubble could stop restart plan

'Certainly if we had any sort of significant spread within our campus, we would be shut down again,' Silver said

That's the exclamation point.

If there will be a positive case inside the bubble. There is no reason now that the league should continue.

They already know this beforehand. That's why they are serious to heavily implement the best safety measures they got.

Do you guys think that Embiid is having some sort of trouble with Ben Simmons? I mean looking at the two things he said, they are both looking like attacks to Simmons. He said the game should run through him and usually we see point guards bringing the ball up yet in today's game anyone can do it, Ben Simmons is known to be the main ball handler and playmaker of that team, maybe Embiid wants to be more like Jokic instead? And the other one is him and Horford basically surrounded by shooters, which we know that Simmons is not one at all, he is one of the worst shooters in the league.

So, when you combine these together, it sounds like maybe Embiid wants to force Simmons out of Sixers and he wants to lead the team himself and dislikes the notion that he has to share that with Simmons instead. What do you think?

It could also be a strategy.
Giving out strategies for the opponent to expect the ball to be passed to him always.
While the new strategy could be for Ben Simmons if all the shooting practices are fruitful.  Grin

Now watching: 2010 West Finals LAL vs PHX
One of the best Game 5's I had watched. 1st quarter was already hot.  Grin
Kobe with 2 fouls already with 9 minutes left in the first.
Maybe Phoenix will win this series this time in the replay.  Grin

Clever for Embiid to say that but the guy is really hilarious on whatever he comments out but I think it's more like a clickbait hope he'll not cry again out of disappointment, sorry to say for Sixers fans out there. How about Simmons do the threes instead because that's for sure unexpected for his offense? Well, I've seen him practicing shooting outside but on actual play, it wouldn't be the same.

Just keep on replaying it @Reid, maybe it will. LOL Grin

That's the one and the only option they have.
They must stop it before they even start putting players and authorized personnel in Orlando.
If not, they will also put in danger the people living in Orlando especially those who will serve the players while staying there.

Adam Silver knows it and I bet he already talked to the government about the risk.
There must be a percentage of how many players and crew will be infected before they finalize the cease of the restart.

That was a serious statement, the NBA season is at stake on this, so I believe they will do everything to prevent the spread of the virus in the venue. When they season is again pause or probably cancelled, that would result to a big loss to the NBA organization and of course with their loss, it would also affect the people working for the organization, particularly the players and the staff.

Commissioners needs to work on it, it's not just the money that's stake here but also the people that are prone being infected.

Resuming the league will definitely bring money to the organization and it's a big
obligation insuring that spread of the virus will not triggered more people around
not just the players and the staff but everyone inside the state.

We really appreciate what the commissioner is doing, but he can only such, and his hands are also tied and I'm sure he already has this in mind.

They already have a ball park number and they are closely monitoring it, he had all the backing here specially the local government, but if this goes out of control, he can't do anything but to restart.

Definitely, it will be a day-to-day basis scenario because the number of infections suddenly rise. And if swell to a number that everyone will be at greater risk again, I'm sure NBA and Silver will have to step up and shut down again. Go back to the drawing boards and make few adjustments here and there. If it really going to be a big test for the NBA with this new set up.

Worst Contracts Of 2016

1. Chandler Parsons, Memphis Grizzlies -- 4 years, $94.8M
2. Timofey Mozgov, Los Angeles Lakers -- 4 years, $64M
3. Luol Deng, Los Angeles Lakers -- 4 years, $72M
4. Miles Plumlee, Milwaukee Bucks -- 4 years, $52M
5. Matthew Dellavedova, Milwaukee Bucks -- 4 years, $38.4M
6. Joakim Noah, New York Knicks -- 4 years, $72M
7. Evan Turner, Portland Trail Blazers -- 4 years, $75M
8. Kent Bazemore, Atlanta Hawks -- 4 years, $70M
T-9. Solomon Hill, New Orleans Pelicans -- 4 years, $48M
T-9. Ian Mahinmi, Washington Wizards -- 4 years, $64M
11. Nicolas Batum, Charlotte Hornets -- 5 years, $120M
12. Allen Crabbe, Portland Trail Blazers -- 4 years, $75M

Mozgov does ring a bell to me, but in fairness he won a ring with Lebron in 2016 right? So he did accomplished a lot in his career. And I would say that he was a victim of circumstances of the NBA centre evolution. He wasn't able to cope with new young generations of centers that can shoot 3, in short he was still part of the old school of centers and then his knee injury.

Josh Giddey: The Best NBA Prospect You’ve Never Heard Of

Anyone heard of him? yeah, the article headlines probably right. They've said it'll be the next Luka or Ben Simmon. Cheesy

I've never heard of the man, but got me interested and do some research.

Kid came from Australia, play Point Guard and great in passing. But I think it's too early to make a statement and time will tell. Better hope not to see another Dante Exum.
Haven't heard of him either.
Australian kid, great passing. All I can think about is Ben Simmons.
I hope he is also good at defense just like Ben.
I will try to watch some of his highlights later.
Fortunately, if I don't miss some updates, there are no reports yet where an NBA player got reinfected again with the virus.
Yeah, it must be the immune system of our body after being infected once.
I'm more worried about these players that got positive last June and this month. They shouldn't be allowed to play the whole month of August. I know they are important players but the virus is tricky. I don't have the guts to defend a guy that got positive just last month although he was recovered now lol.
I doubt they will be allowed to play at a 1-month span.
Recovery and 14-day quarantine to say they are really clear from the virus.
It will take almost a month.

The latest was:

Three unnamed players of Miami Heat on July 3,4

I think he meant for a player that got positive, recovered, and then the virus was re-activated. There are cases like that, especially in South Korea. As for searching, I found no NBA player and hope there will no cases of that.

Also guys remember that there will be regular season games as well, mostly not going to change too much, maaaaybe 8th seed in the west but thats it, so the regular season will not be "too" important, still important due to seeding positions but almost all teams that are going to playoffs are already decided. So if one of your favorite and best player is out due to covid, and even if he feels awesome, you can still wait him around until he joins, don't know the situation on if anyone can join later on with a clear bill of health, but he can just come with the team if he is clear and just wait out few more games and get better. Or just play very very limited minutes like 10-12 until he feels better. That way you both got to keep your player for the future and playoffs, but you also do not put too much pressure on him the very first moment games starts.
