I think suspension makes sense but I still think there could be something done about this in the following weeks to make it come back as well, you can postpone the games and restart the league from where it was left of, or you can basically just go straight to playoffs since there wasn't really all that much left but whatever they do, I hope they do end up finishing the 2020 season somehow.

There are other teams that would not agree with the season going straight to playoffs.

A lot of games postponed because of the pandemic and I hope everyone is good within the Utah Jazz team. I don't like the idea of the NBA being played without the fans there. One of the popular TV shows here in our country has no people there except the artists themselves. It is for the best but it is really sad, I hope everyone is taking care of themselves out there.

30 days before they'll make a final decision, so let us not panic.

Actually I would rather see NBA being played without fans in an arena than cancelling the whole season, I think that's the decision they'll make when they resume.

That may be the best way to still make it happen.
They will need to make money for those players payment. They are all in contracts so they cannot breach that.

No ticket sales but there will still be ads.
But there is growth in reports of players being infected. So, how could they continue with this kind of problem?
They might need to check every player first before they could move again.
It will also be unfair for other teams (with infected players) if they will suddenly lose the chance for playoffs because of it.

Adam Silver announced that  they  opted for 30 days break minimum, and after that they will reevaluate situation. This was expected really, it would be foolish to keep on with current situation.

I speculate the NBA commisioner will declare that the regular season will not be played in full to let the playoffs begin on time. The present top 8 on each conference might be the top 8 by the end of the regular season with only a small difference on the bottom 2.
This is definitely possibility, since most teams already played 64-65 games already, and almost all playoff spots have been basically secured. In the East Orlando Magic is  at the 8th spot with 6 games advantage over Hornets at the 9th spot, so it would be very hard for Hornets to catch them.Situation on the West is a bit more complicated  as Grizzlies are 3 wins ahead of Blazers and 4 wins ahead of Pelicans in the race for 8th spot.
Aftera all, those lockout seasons weren't any longer either. 1998/1999 season had only 50 games in the regular season, while during lockout in 2011/2012 only 66 games of regular season were played.

I am not entirely sure if they overreacted or not. I mean sure this is a bad thing and sure Rudy Gobert getting corona tested positive is bad as well but we are talking about a guy who is basically a physically beast 20's something dude, he has absolutely no risk at all. I hope everyone in Utah gets tested after this and gets a relief that they don't have it but they need to get tested nevertheless.

I doubt that would happen, other teams will certainly complain, that's unfair especially those who still have a chance but are out in the playoff picture now.
I am still in favor of extending the period, rather than cutting to still stay on schedule but would sacrifice lower seed chances to qualify.

Rudy Gobert, Donovan Mitchell and I'm 100% sure that there are other players who will test positive for COVID-19.

Just by reading Mitchell's statement, I think he wants to pinpoint something. What do you think?

"We are all learning more about the seriousness of this situation and hopefully people can continue to educate themselves and realize that they need to behave responsibly both for their own health and for the well being of those around them".

Now we got Mitchell positive as well, the virus spreads really fast, so how about the family of Donovan, his friends, and even the other teammates.
It's really alarming at this point, almost everyone of the Jazz team are now at a high risk of being affected.

COVID-19 destroys our beloved NBA, now can't enjoy what we used to as there's no guarantee as to whether the NBA will resume or not the soonest.
Thats the problem because he's been exposed to those people which we wouldnt know if they got infected or not.Spreading of this virus is uncontrollable
and we might see another further news about people get infected.

It doesnt only destroys sports industry but in other industries as well which mainly affect economic matters. We are facing now a global problem that cant
really be easily get rid of.As said or announced that this would be indefinitely postponed which means we wont have any choice but to wait up until this problem been resolved.

I'm trying to find a full video of that interview to know what's the discussion that leads Gobert to touch all those mics.
I've been trying to find the same thing, but so far all videos I found start at the moment he is touching the mics and stuff. I think I found that interview from where that short clip is taken, but unfortunately video doesn't show that, like he was making that "joke" at the end, when interview was over.
Here is the link
https://www.nba.com/jazz/video/search/?ls=channav&query=Rudy%20Gobert

He starts  talking  about Corona virus around 5:50 mark, and weird part is that it looked like he is taking things seriously, and then he did that stunt at the end. Really irresponsible behavior, what else to say..

Donovan Mitchell was locker room neighboor of Rudy Gobert, they were sitting next to each other after every game, so it is not really that shocking that he got it as well. However we should be concerned about every single person Rudy has been in contact with and everyone Donovan has been in contact with as well. We had no idea how it all worked but you can literally infect a whole stadium with just one person in there. Rudy could sit and make donovan sick, meanwhile donovan will make someone else sick and rudy will too at the time, those 4 can spread to others and with no time you can have a whole stadium infected.

I'm seeing reports that Rudy Gobert was in the mood the mock everyone not only he did touch the microphones during the interview he was literally touching his teammates in the locker room as well which might explain why Donovan Mitchell have it. The worst part about this is Rudy Gobert only showed symptoms today but that is how the COVID 19 works where the virus can stay dormant for 2 to 3 weeks making it look like the person is healthy yet the truth is he is already infectious without showing any symptoms at all. So really there is a chance that there are still others that Gobert and maybe now Donovan Mitchell have infected other people both on and off the court.

Unfortunately this virus is quite easy to infect, other viruses has happened but none of them were THIS easy to infect, death toll is still not huge and it still doesn't kill all that easily however it does infect a lot and that is the scary part. If you are rich and a NBA player that is fine, however when you are poor or just a regular person, you may need health assistance to get this over with and it is infecting so many people so quickly that it is reaching to a level where hospitals will not be able to suffice for every single infected person. Think about a scenario where infected number is going above hospital bed numbers, this is what we are talking about here, it is not death it is not being enough. When that point reaches it will be close to impossible to save people because not enough places left that can treat people and make them better, some infected will be left in open because there are no more hospital beds left to care for them.

I hope the numbers get better with time and this heat thing people talk about that will make it go away comes faster, global warming is needed for the first time in human history and we really need record breaking heats in march because if that is actually as good of a cure as people say it is, we gonna need that very much. Or some sort of medicine that treats the disease very easily. I literally had swine flu couple years ago and it was literally just one pill and I was back on my feet in a week, we need something like that at least.

I'm trying to find a full video of that interview to know what's the discussion that leads Gobert to touch all those mics.

Some say he is making a joke about the virus but why he should touch those mics if, in the first place, the location wasn't an infected area. That will really raise a concern to anyone and will create speculation that maybe during that time he already knows a bit that he has the virus. It's a crime.

But I don't want to believe in that claim just by reading people's comments.

If anyone can share me a link to the full video, thank you.

Donovan Mitchell reportedly tests positive for coronavirus
Quote
Jazz star Donovan Mitchell has tested positive for the coronavirus, league sources tell ESPN. Jazz players privately say that Rudy Gobert had been careless in the locker room touching other players and their belongings. Now a Jazz teammate has tested positive

As basketball fans, we don't want to hear that the season is over because of the corona virus shit.

But what can we do? Players are affected already and we don't know the extent of the damage specially for Utah Jazz players. We can also hope that Rudy can recover and the season continue after a few weeks.

It is a sad day indeed.

Protect players and so does the fans which are both important for the NBA management.
Here in our country there is already a panic in buying goods like canned goods, water and medical supplies.
I think there is already 49 people positive with that virus.

This ain't just a bad day for us gamblers but also for the whole world. This should be ended right away or else it could go worse.

I think it was the best decision, there´s no sense to starts NBA with all this risk for everyone in a closed stadium
I'm sure in a few months everything will back to normal, but until than we are to be very cautious

I have no doubt that the loss will be millionaire (maybe billionaire), but there's nothing to do, health is the most important for us

I wonder how Jazz would deal with this type of situation, worst case the whole jazz could be affected.
Wishing a speedy recovery for Rudy Gobert.

There are sources said that the NBA Season 2020 has been suspended. Not only the Jazz would suffer from this pandemic, but the whole NBA organizations.
I think the first step they will take is to quarantine everyone from both teams. It's just sad Gobert has been to many places and held a lot of things already before he was diagnosed positive for covid-19. Chances are, It has already been spread to his teammates, to coaches, and down to the media pres con. attendees.

Thats the problem now where he's been exposed to lots of people and that would start first on his own family. We know on how this virus is being transmitted and

for sure on next couple of days or weeks, there would be an another news about being infected inside the team or to those people whose close to him.

Everything is starts to mess up due to that shit Ncov.

The number of people infected are rapidly growing, this is already a pandemic and the organization are just doing the right thing, let us set aside the geed and this time we need to focus on the welfare of the people, I think the government needs to interrupt on this as well.
