The hype is now at its highest peak with these two teams. The Bucks are now in a winning streak in the East while the Lakers are the ones who are dominating the West. I'm excited too with this match up but whoever wins this game will have a higher momentum. I want the Bucks to win on this since they are having a winning streak right now Cheesy.
What momentum are we talking about here? This is just the regular season, not the playoffs. They are not playing in a series. You can get 73-9 in regular season and can still fail to get the ring.

Exactly. It's like records don't matter if your team didn't make a championship in that situation.

Imagine making 73-9 record and 3-1 deficit NBA finals and still loss. They just made their team a Meme Team.

Agreed, and I'm sure if you ask any player what they would rather do, break the regular season wins records or win the nba championship while going 41-41 in the regular season it would unanimously be to win the ship.  Great being a #1 seed as you have home court advantage throughout just got to win those games still.  Playoffs is a whole new season really.

In any case, if any team goes for 70 wins this season (which I think neither will) I still think they will definitely win the championship too. When you have the momentum on your favor, you usually end up winning, sure we have ONE example of that not happening but check out how many first seeds have won championships versus other seeds, I am pretty sure the most championship teams are the first seed ones.
It is 73% according to this :

https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/8bl532/nba_finals_winners_by_seed/

Still, in a world where load management is starting to emerge, that might change. The teams that have the most healthy and rested star players will win the finals.

That 73-9 season was one of the biggest flukes there is and it was an insane otherworld performance by Lebron to bring them back, I still can't believe the only championship in the history of Cavs was that year, if they were healthier I would say previous year was a more understandable result.

So, I see Lakers and bucks as the finalists this year, it is not 100% guaranteed but can't we agree that they have "the most chances" to be in the finals? Doesn't have to be 100% champions guarantee thing, just "the most chances" to be in finals, doesn't that make sense?

Got it right, like what happened to the Golden States Warriors that fail to get the championship after breaking the bulls record of 72-10. Having a great record in the regular season does not guarantee to be a champion.

Nobody said they will, but to make a history is quite an accomplishment and I would be happy if the Bucks or the Lakers can make history this season.
They are the two teams that are consistent enough on winning but we are just talking here about the regular season, sure it would be different in the playoffs especially in the NBA finals.

IF bucks could make history this season, I might be backing them to win the East Championship but I would go against them in the NBA finals.
west teams are just way more stronger IMO.
That's also what most of speculators said last year, West is more dominant after lebron got transferred to Lakers and the powerhouse GSW are
continue dominating the west side unfortunately KD and Klay got injured and unable to continue the rally for the grand slam.

The winning streak of both Lakers and Bucks are being eyed by most basketball spectators they are looking for a good write ups for this two
teams if they will be able to make history within the regular seasons.

Being in the top seed will give an advantage to play against a much weaker team from the same conference in the playoffs, thus saving them effort and energy to become more prepared once they reach the conference finals.
Ohh you just reminded me of how sweet the Cavaliers' championship in 2016. The greatest come back ever in NBA finals history.

What momentum are we talking about here?

I guess he's talking about the upcoming game between the Lakers and the Bucks on the 19th. This is gonna be their first meeting this season.

Yeah, that is true.
We are still talking about the season here and we know they are still softer with their games now.
They still don't want to give too much to avoid the injury. That is why it is also a good accomplishment because one team really made some good effort to make it happen.

I will go East.  Grin
I am not a Lebron fan neither a Kawhi fan.
So I might be betting against them in playoffs until the Finals.
We all have our teams to cheer for and I respect you for that.  Cheesy

Of course NBA records can be broken by the next generations and I would love to see the Lakers do it or rather break the record of 73-9 record of the warriors and win the championship. Your right, the Bucks is also my favorite to win the eastern conference finals but I doubt if they could win the NBA finals if that happen.

If there is a best chance for the Lakers to break that best record, it should be this season, him and Davis are changing the Lakers into a super team and Lebron is a future hall of famer, currently the best player in the NBA (IMO) so it would be a another great achievement for him and it looks like he might also win the MVP race this season.

This will only make the Bucks more hype in the playoffs if they make history but for me it would not change their odds of winning the NBA finals as it's still the same team like last year. I am not closing that possibility that they could win but that's my stand for now the way I see their line up.

They are just performing well as how they are being appreciated by the fans, we've seen a lots of hypes for both teams making their ways inside this regular season, some are hyping the bucks to make a franchise history and try to break Lakers all time history for winning the most inside the
regular season, if they continue chasing the wins it will be a great season for the bucks with Giannis leading the way.

Tonight, Giannis is out. We can see how Bucks will perform without him. But even they will lose here, it doesn't mean they are nothing without Giannis. Their real strength without Giannis might be seen within several games and not on a single game.

They won with a big margin and the streak continues.. No Giannis but no problem for this team who are in active winning streak right now.

Middleton and Bledsoe both led the team with 24 and 29 points respectively, if this is the way they are going to play in the playoffs, then I guess they have a huge chance even against the Lakers, Clippers or Sixers.

Yes, both of them step up as expected, no doubt that the two will play very hard knowing that Giannis is not there. And I do hope that they will kept going until he returns. However, it's just one game, haven't check their schedule but they could face a strong team next and could be tested if they can continue their streak here.

Praying for no injuries to come in this team.
They did great Giannis-less although that should really happen. They still have one all star in their midst whose name is Middleton.
That guy is someone which you should not take your eyes off.
He is good with his jump shots and so does with making plays and also Bledsoe.
But let us not forget Ilyasova and Hill here. Both have done good even last year. They are just stepping up now.
If Bledsoe will remain consistent with his offense in the team, they will be a big threat, maybe they learned during last playoffs, they can't rely on Giannis alone, they also need to step up when they needed most especially in big games.

Good win for them and hoping to see him back in the line up.. his status now..

It's a soreness in front of the thigh.
Proves he is still human.  Grin I thought he was a damn monster that will never stop playing.

There is even a rumor that it's because of load management lol.

The rumor came up because he was seen fine and no indication that he has an injury in their last game.

Giannis clearly stated that he is not a fan of load management. People should really take note of that before building rumors unless Gianni's absence is now obvious. A monster is not immune to a soreness lol.

Well we don't wish Giannis to be injured here, but I think Bucks will be fired out and will try to show what they're made of without the Greek Freak playing.

Also them wanting to preserved their winning streak, it's gonna be difficult because they have lost 30 ppg here, but I'm sure with their experience, someone will step up and show what Bucks characters with this handicap.
