No point in even thinking about this award until Zion steps onto the hardwood.

ROTY is based on stats so every game counts. Zion didn't play any single game this season giving advantage to those other rookies to gained stats while he is out.

Zion is expected to be back in mid-December but that was just an ETA. If that won't happened, it will be difficult for him to catch up in the NBA ROTY award even he will average 30+ per game (although not likely) once he came back as his closed competitors also giving good numbers per game.

What's your take on this, who will win ROTY award?
my pick is kendrick Nunn,
My vote goes to the Miami rookie as well. He's contributing well to the team and you can see it in their current standings.

Kemba just got a nasty hit but it is not something that is major, dude would have been one of the unluckiest players in the world if it was serious, he played on a horrible team all these years and now that he found a great team that he could actually play and even have a shot at the title depending on injuries of other teams (has a chance to be in finals if they could beat some good teams and in the finals if they end up facing Lakers for example Davis could be injured or clippers could have Kawhi injured etc, all luck) so it would be really horrible if he was injured seriously.

I am sure he will be back in no time, could miss couple games just in case to keep a watch on him but after that he will be back. Thank god it wasn't anything serious because head injuries are the scariest ones.

Lol, got  your point and glad that the scan yielded positive. The scene was scary, a brace was put on his neck and players from both teams surrounded him as if he was in serious situation.

He was luckier than Hayward if the latter won't be back this season as I see the Celtics will battle for ECF versus the Sixers.

Well Blazers started very poor and then Lillard got injured, which makes it's worst. I'm expecting CJ to carry the load, however, it seems he can't carry this team without his partner.

Interesting article about The San Antonio Spurs have finally embraced speed. I don't know maybe this so called new system are not working.
It's hard for CJ to work alone since every teams have the counter each time he will try to lift the team. Almost all the teams upgraded and have
a good competitive lineups. This season  might be not for them though its still a long one and there's  still a lots of time to try improving the
team and make a good comeback.

And perhaps this is the reason why they got Melo to at least cover some scoring slack. However, we still yet Melo exploded or at least see Portland in a win wherein Melo is the big factor. What a freak accident for Kemba, head first on Ojeleye, he really didn't see anything until it was too late as he was chasing the ball with his head down.

Lots of love on Luka here, stop these guys, Melo will be jelous, lol...

Anyway, Luka is a real star now, he is still very young, 20 years old and he is playing like a matured NBA player who has a lot of experience already.
now we finally see a star in Dallas, he is better than Dirk Nowitzki because he is a triple double machine now.
I also admire Luka's greatness but dont compare him to Dirk. The guy is a legend while the kid is still starting out his time to shine. There is still a lot of work for Luka but we are sure that his time would come.
Luka has already surpassed Dirk Nowitzki's starting years. Luka is a top 5 NBA player now. But it is too early to say he is better than Dirk career wise. We will know if the kid is for real and if he can keep this level of play through the years. But we would love to see Luka play like this over the years to come.
For his starting years, he might be good but I'm basing the contribution of Dirk as a whole and yes, it's that early to analyze it. As we have mentioned, there's a very long way for Luka to go before surpassing him.
The kid is good and amazing despite being young, he's challenging the superstars and himself is also one of them being considered not just by their team but also by the fans.

Meanwhile, three of the teams in the West who were "favorites" to go through the playoffs are now at sitting at the bottom (Warriors, Spurs, Blazers). I know it's a long season but the performances are quite dismal. I understand the Warriors situation but I'm really surprised with Spurs and Blazers.

Deandre Ayton was a good pick. Sad he was injured but still young and lots of time to recover and play big.
That's life, though maybe if Ayton did not suffer from that injury he maybe also getting the composure to help his team; Kawhai

Cryptotalk shitposters at their best, have no clue what they're talking about.

Ayton isn't injured, he has never had a major injury, he is currently suspended from the NBA for violating their anti-drug program, you fuckheads!

Looking forward for the game of Bucks against the Pistons.
Will they continue this streak of wins which they are in or they will be stopped by the Pistons.
Bucks is the team with the longest winning streak in the East, and Piston just broke their losing streak, so this is gonna be a good match to watch, but, if you look at the betting odds now, bucks are -12 at home, so definitely the public are thinking it is another easy win for the bucks and they will extend their winning streak.

In their win against the Hawks, Griffin and Drummond are both contributing well, so hopefully they can do that against the Bucks, and hopefully they are not tired on this back to back games.

What's next for Kemba Walker after this injury he got versus the Nuggets? I mean, it's a serious neck injury even though it is unintentional from his teammate. I hope it's not a career threatening injury.

It is scary but not a serious injury according to this https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/kemba-walker-injury-update-celtics-star-released-from-hospital-will-be-reevaluated-tomorrow/
Let's wait until they announce the result of reevaluation. I hope he is fine. He is performing extremely good in Celtics.

Jrue Holiday, Brandon Ingram and JJ Redick having a monster game again.
Despite the lack of power forwards for this team, they can still make it winning agianst a strong Phoenix Suns.
Phoenix suns is not strong anymore, they are expose with their losing streak, and in this game, there is no Rubio and Baynes but overall they gave a very exciting game.

That is what happened. But with their early games they are defeating strong teams like the Clippers and the Lakers.
I dont have any update to those two players but I am sure when they are back the Suns could go back to a good playing team.

Looking forward for the game of Bucks against the Pistons.
Will they continue this streak of wins which they are in or they will be stopped by the Pistons.

What's your take on this, who will win ROTY award?

my pick is kendrick Nunn, though I like Eric Paschall but he is playing in the worst team in the NBA now, this stats for me is not so valuable if that would not help the team to win. I like Hero too, there's a competition with Nunn as they are on the same team, hopefully that would not affect the chemistry.

While we are waiting for Zion Williamson to finally recover from his injury and make a NBA debut, here is how other rookies are performing. So far obvious favourite for ROTY award is Ja Morant from Grizzlies. An excellent passer and athlete, and as we can see, he can score too. It will be interesting to see When Zion comes back can he join the race for ROTY, or he will play limited minutes and take it slow, and imho that would be right approach.

Sacramento must be hurting to see they passed on Luka and Trae. Deandre Ayton was a good pick. Sad he was injured but still young and lots of time to recover and play big.

They can still find another good player if they keep looking, Luka is just destine with the Mavericks and we have to accept that.
Another big win for Mavericks today, but he didn't get a triple double, maybe if he played more, he might easily get another triple double game.

143-101, there's no competition in there, that's twice in the row that they dominated their opponent and their winning streak is still alive.

On the other hand, the clippers vs Rockets is a good match and Clippers took their revenge behind the effort Leonard and Williams, and although PG struggle a bit, they help each other to win.
That's life, though maybe if Ayton did not suffer from that injury he maybe also getting the composure to help his team, and it's correct that Luka's destined to help the Mavs after Dirk era has passed. With today's game between Clippers and Rockets it's good to see that the competitiveness of Kawhai show and step up to win this game.

As a long-time Mavericks fan here looks like the effort and patience for years are now yielding a good result,"at least for now", after the sudden fall of the championship roster during the post-season of their championship years.

I don't give up on Dallas Mavericks since I become interested to them way back 2003 and never expected they will reach the finals in 2006 and finally able to chip a trophy in 2011. That era is composed of monster teams that's why I never thought seeing Dirk Nowitzki will snatch that Finals MVP. Sad that Steve Nash and Michael Finley wasn't able to share the championship trophy with Dirk.

And after they won a chip in 2011, this team became one of the underperforming teams in the West. But still, if I saw some interesting Moneyline odds to them, I do put some few bucks as support. My friends know how I'm an avid fan of this team so I'm happy with their progress now.

Their last playoffs appearance was way back 2015-16 season. I hope I will see them back at Playoffs this season.

And once again they are playing with monster teams all over the West. Could this be another deja vu of what happened in 2011?  Grin
Sorry for my crazy thoughts.

I do remember that.
They were against the Heat with the the trio of Bosh, Wade and Lebron and still they were stopped by the monster shooting of Dirk and also the perfect freethrow shooting.
Ahhhh, so good to watch that game. The Heat really though they are the champions and so does the NBA fans.

I am also excited to see Dallas reach the finals this season but if they will be against the Lakers, I think I will place my bet to where LeBron and AD was.

oh man, that was a fantastic match, Kawhi and Harden lead their teammates to play well in this match. and Harden is able to score more points than Kawhi. but the final result of this match is LA Clippers successfully winning the game with a score of 122-119 from Rockets
Harden always score more because he is the one handling the ball and he is really making a lot of attempts.
Both have FGA/FGM of 9/16 but Harden earn more points also in the free throw line as he has 18 FT and made 14 out of 18.

You can see the effort by harden, he used his strenght on fishing foul and that was effective, however Clippers played better in this game.
William did help to win as well as he scored 26 points in this win....
