The Luka Dončić noise is still here in the NBA as the mavericks continues their winning streak, and now beating one of the best games in the NBA which is the Rockets. It's a double double for him with 41 points and 10 assists, this is a match up of 2 potential MVP candidates and clearly here its Luka Dončić who won the battle.

also with this win, Mavericks climb to the number 3 spot in ranking in the west.

What a spectacular game for Lavigne! Made 49 points and made 13 three pointers out of 17.

Yo, who that? He a distant relative to Avril Lavigne or you just don't know how to spell his name? Grin (bonus De Roza)

An interesting rumor going around.

Shortening the season to 78 games won't change things much, players will still not play in back-to-back games. NBA can't cut it to 72 games either because they're going to miss massive revenue from TV deals and sponsorships.
The idea of a mid-season tournament is so bad that it doesn't deserve to be discussed at all.
I'm also not a fan of reseeding the teams after early rounds, they should rather eliminate divisions and conferences altogether and have the top 16 teams play in the playoffs.

Now he is also recorded on top players like Thompson and Curry to make a 13 shots beyond the arc. Out of 17, 13 shot beyond the arc was hit by Lavine. Now Bulls having a record of 6-11, you think they can still make it on the finals?

Finals? That is too much to ask. They have to go through powerful teams like Celtics, Bucks, Heat, Sixers, and Raptors. They would be really lucky if they make it to the playoffs.

Yeah, that is too much, this is just one monster game for him and I doubt that he can carry the Bulls even to the playoffs. Not hating on him but with so many teams in the West who is absolutely a beast, I doubt that he can replicate his game because teams are going to adjust their defence on him. It's just he had a hot hand, if would be perfect if he hits 50, just saying.

What a spectacular game for Lavigne! Made 49 points and made 13 three pointers out of 17. He made it to top 10-20 in three points made in the history of the NBA. Now he's proving everybody wrong not only with that performance but his performance this season. He definitely is not only into dunking. But, kudos to Arcidiacono for helping the triple team and getting the ball to the hot guy that night for pulling out the dagger.

What's your take on this, who will win ROTY award?
my pick is kendrick Nunn,
My vote goes to the Miami rookie as well. He's contributing well to the team and you can see it in their current standings.

No point in even thinking about this award until Zion steps onto the hardwood.
I've written him off. When he comes back, he will need to come up big and help his team fight for the playoff spot for a chance to win the ROTY. I don't see him finishing the regular season without another injury the way he currently plays bball with his body weight though.

An interesting rumor going around. Seed changes are being proposed and shortening of regular season games. With the proposal, it's possible that two teams from the same conference will be battling for the NBA Finals.

The expectation with Zion is just too much.
A lot of fans out there wants to see the kid play and up until now we cannot see it yet.
It is difficult to compare someone like that when we cannot even see how he plays with his new team.

There might be no chemistry and in the end he will work it all out. If he could maybe double the amount of stats that Ja Morant have now then maybe, just maybe he could really take that ROTY home.
IMHO it is natural that everyone has high expectations of Zion play with Pelicans in the regular season because he is the number 1 draft pick 2019.
Who doesn't have high expectations for the number 1 draft pick in NBA? lol

I don't.
Because it doesn't really mean you will be also successful in NBA.
Have you noticed how many good players are there in their batch of draft picks?
RJ was good and is a team mate of Zion at Duke, I am really voting for RJ at that time because of his potential and also at physical attribute which is perfect for his height.

It is not like Zion skills are far from the top 10 draft picks.

This might be the perfect game for Lavigne having a monstrous game with 13 three points. Yes they still have a chance for the finals but it's only for about 10-20% chance for them to make it. Though their are still more matchers to come but let's not expect Chicago to make it to the finals because there are several teams who are already a title contender.

yes, we need to wait until next month (maybe) for watching zion play in the regular season. Besides Ja Morant, who was one of the best rookie candidates, I saw Eric Paschall's performance with Warriors also pretty good, he got minutes to play because the Warriors stars were injured, with the opportunity to play I felt he could be a player that could be relied on for Warriors

I'm not a fan of Ja Morant but with how he plays with the Grizzlies, he has a high chance that he will be the ROTY although its too early to talk things like this. We are at the start of the season at this moment and we don't see Zion played because of his injury. If we can see Zion playing like he played in the pre-season then he can also be a candidate too.

What's next for Kemba Walker after this injury he got versus the Nuggets? I mean, it's a serious neck injury even though it is unintentional from his teammate. I hope it's not a career threatening injury.
The result is that Kemba Walker, fortunately, avoided a serious injury. All tests and scans carried out by Kemba came out with positive results. There is no exact schedule for how long Kemba should be absent or when he is allowed to play again. While absent, I think Marcus Smart & Carsen Edwards looks like they will get more minutes to play
Good to hear that, he's finding his rhythm with the Boston squad and he's enjoying that neck injury also needs to be check and make sure that the recovery period will give him enough rest. Regarding to Smart and Edwards the team needs everyone to cover Kemba's place they need to help and provide good minutes to keep the team still being competitive. It's still a long season enough for KEmba to take the rest and be ack more stronger..

Holy crap!
I watched all the other games and missed this one.
I guess I missed the exciting game of all.
Damn! I am going to watch the replay.

Bucks ate the Pistons.  Grin
Antetokounmpo is a monster once again. Anyone seen how he is doing his crossovers? He is unstoppable if he could perfect that move.
His gaining more speed at dribbling the ball even with his long span. Oh, and the three points.

The East is not filled with powerful players so I think there is still a chance for the Bulls to make it to the playoffs.
It is still early to tell, there are still 60+ games to happen.

Grizzlies and Lakers game is something to be watched again.
Ja Morant doing some cool moves. Ankle breakers and showing his skills while in the air.
There is one moment at 4th quarter where he avoided two opponent in mid air and his hands with the ball went the other way.
I was really shocked at how wise this young kid is.
He do have a future. They lose against the Lakers but it was really fun.

What a spectacular to end the game Shocked. This only prove us that he can carry this legendary team. Hmm, though not as close as MJ or even D. Rose could do on their prime days but still he can. He is still young and can show more.

Nice one! I never wondered that he is also a sharp shooter because I thought that he was only good at dunking. Seems there is a new killer 3 pointer in the league huh? Curry and Harris should watch out from now on Grin.

No point in even thinking about this award until Zion steps onto the hardwood.

ROTY is based on stats so every game counts. Zion didn't play any single game this season giving advantage to those other rookies to gained stats while he is out.

Zion is expected to be back in mid-December but that was just an ETA. If that won't happened, it will be difficult for him to catch up in the NBA ROTY award even he will average 30+ per game (although not likely) once he came back as his closed competitors also giving good numbers per game.
I am not a Zion fan though so maybe I will also vote for Ja Morant.
Still early to predict the Rookie of the Year but my bet from the very beginning was on Zion. However, he already missed a lot of games thus the rookies from other teams were already ahead of him which leads him to got slim chance of getting the title. Well, it was just an award afterall. Gaining this or not, it will not secure them for good throughout their whole NBA career Cheesy. Consistent hardwork (whether you are up or down) still what matters the most.

In this case, I am now also going with Morant. They almost win in their game against Lakers, almost but not quite! Nonetheless props to this rookie, he did great!

Sacramento must be hurting to see they passed on Luka and Trae. Deandre Ayton was a good pick. Sad he was injured but still young and lots of time to recover and play big.

~snip~

On the other hand, the clippers vs Rockets is a good match and Clippers took their revenge behind the effort Leonard and Williams, and although PG struggle a bit, they help each other to win.
oh man, that was a fantastic match, Kawhi and Harden lead their teammates to play well in this match. and Harden is able to score more points than Kawhi. but the final result of this match is LA Clippers successfully winning the game with a score of 122-119 from Rockets
Harden always score more because he is the one handling the ball and he is really making a lot of attempts.
Both have FGA/FGM of 9/16 but Harden earn more points also in the free throw line as he has 18 FT and made 14 out of 18.

You can see the effort by harden, he used his strenght on fishing foul and that was effective, however Clippers played better in this game.
William did help to win as well as he scored 26 points in this win....
Absolutely true, James Harden is an offensive player. He currently leads the most offensive player this season with an average of 38.2 points per match.
and both teams played well and were very entertaining.
