The Hornets are getting beat down as bad as anyone I can remember right now. Down by over 40 in the 4th and they haven’t broke 70 points yet. Good news for the Bucks I guess. Maybe that trade for Pat Bev gave them the fire they needed to start performing as expected. Huge mismatch anyway though.
That's not a real test for them, Hornets has been struggling and on a losing streak, so it's a mismatch and that didn't prove anything that they already figure out how to beat strong teams. Real test will be vs Denver on their next game, I'm fading them that time.
Losing streak was quite embarrassing for the Hornets and they didn't learn from their mistakes and try to get better, their game was quite bad and the average loss was by quite large point difference.
I not sure if there will be win for the next match but if they just keep losing then it will clearly just be bottom team that won't be able to compete well this season.
It's just unfortunate that this ball brothers despite getting a good contract are prone to injury. Hornets could have been better if Ball was playing but he was injured and there's no specific time on when he will return.

This was the status of ball in this game.
Edit: You know the game went badly when Thanasis gets a highlight: https://x.com/bleacherreport/status/1756154260767539315

Yeah, he's good in garbage time.. and he know there are garbage players on the team. (not talking to himself-according to him)
Isn't it that in several matches this month he was rarely used, it is clear that he has experienced quite significant changes from time to time.
Adrian Griffin may have some dissatisfaction with his players.

Or his  players may have a dissatisfaction of him, the reason why he was replaced despite having a great record this season.

Spencer Dinwiddie, a free agent after being traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Toronto Raptors and then waived. He was there watching the Lakers game beside Rob Pelinka, President of Basketball Operations of the Lakers. According to the news, Dinwiddie already met with the Dallas Mavericks and it looks like they are interested even after they got P.J. Washington (Charlotte Hornets) and Daniel Gafford (Washington Wizards). But him (Dinwiddie) being there means there's no contract yet. I guess he has an asking price and as the Lakers badly need a guard that will handle the ball especially when D'Lo is injured, they might take him in and aim for that championship again. The Lakers badly need more speed as their big men are filled, Jaxson Hayes is getting better on both ends of the floor although it needs more polishing, they have Davis and more.
Rob Pelinka will probably push this one to sign Dinwiddie.

And D'Lo says with his former team mates in the Nets that they will know Spencer later, meaning he could be in the Lakers uniform? But I do agree that is one of the best games of the Lakers and then they set the record with that 119 points scored by the starter. All records at least the Lakers top 5 belongs to 80's era, now they set up as 2nd place so good accomplishment by team.

All of starting five scoring 20 points+ so that is huge. But hopefully they will be consistent with this kind of game. Also the Boston Celtics was only able to dispose of the Wizards in the fourth and it give bettors a bad taste as they are -10.5 if I'm not mistaken and they allow Washington to come back in the fourth and win by a close margin.

No one would consider Charlotte Hornets as a test for how good a team is or how bad they can get, but Pat Beverley signing is a big W for the Bucks, he's arguably the most energetic guy in the NBA, he was only on the team for 5 minutes but you can feel he's energy already grabbing the clipboard and coaching Brook Lopez already, lol. He's really a guy that'd give you 101% whenever he's on the floor and he doesn't even shy away from communicating with his team mates when he's on the bench too, the atmosphere is a completely different one with him around, and he's a really lovable guy too, so far he's on your team.

Crappy game from the Denver Nuggets although understandable because they are exhausted.
But the LA Lakers on the other hand are superb. Beating a fully rested New Orleans Pelicans while the Lakers are also exhausted from yesterday's game.
D'Angelo Russell was cooking. 30 points, 6/13 in the three-point line, once he got hot there's no stopping that man.

I guess Lakers just need to put trade rumors around him whenever the need an A game from him, but for real, he's been too hot to handle for the past few games, and it couldn't have arrived at a better time for an undermanned Lakers team still fighting for a good post season run.

Haha, Thanasis showing off his game.
Too bad he can only highlight it when they are up big in the 4th. Still is shows he has confidence even though everybody always laughs at him. Gotta give it to him for that.
That shot was worth a million, he is paid to entertain the crowd during garbage time. I hope the Bucks will have more situations like that where they dominated their opponents so Thanasis will get some minutes. I had fun honestly.  Grin

I wonder how Beverly will squash his beef history with Dame. They had a bad relationship in the past, now that they are team makes maybe they will be best buddies.  Grin

I hope they'll stay professional, especially Dame because he is the star player of the team with Giannis, he needs to have a good bond with his teammates including Pat Bev. Well, there was this kind of situation before, that was Kobe and Artest, they hate each other but when Artest join the Lakers, they both won a championship, maybe it will happen with the Bucks, and Pat Bev will truly celebrate becoming a champ not winning a playoff series and feel like had won a championship.

I can't believe the Lakers loss to the Nuggets with a big margin. They were able to come back in the 2nd half, they even tied the game but that 10-0 run by the Nuggets destroyed their morale. Not the result the fans are expecting, as it was the night to give tribute to Kobe Bryant.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10108585-video-kobe-bryant-statue-unveiled-pays-tribute-to-lakers-legends-81-point-game

I can't believe I bet on this team, they haven't change still, they are still dominated by the Nuggets.

There were some improvements though if you watched the whole game. They actually got that momentum, however, LeBron killed that momentum and it suddenly shifted to the Nuggets down the stretch. Another notable thing about that Laker loss is that they are being unhealthy since the start of the season. I am really waiting for the whole Lakers squad to get healthy. I want to see Vincent, Reddish, Vando all come together and gel with the team. The Nuggets are just a stronger team as they got a lot of offensive fire power and they can't guard Jokic as he is so unpredictable.
Well, I guess there will be an upcoming addition to the Lakers roster soon. If anyone watched the Lakers - Pelicans game, Spencer Dinwiddie was spotted sitting along side with Rob Pelinka. Looks the Lakers are finding another way of acquiring more depth without trading D'Angelo away.

How about the Wizards staying with Boston Celtics and even taking a lead?

Jordan Poole is playing good tonight, there's something in him in this game that is very different, his moves the way he take his shots. His like the version of him when he was still with the Warriors.

Any of you smelling a upset here?

Edit: Celtics won, 133-129.
The match was still lost by Wizards. Unfortunately, Wizards is matched with a strong team that has a lot to prove after its humiliating loss to Lakers earlier this week. Wizards made it competitive in the first two quarters before Celtics took over in the third quarter. 19 points, this is the highest score of Jordan Poole this month, but he needs to work harder. 7 of 19 field goals and 3 of 10 in the three-point arc is poor for the compensation Wizards is paying him.

Bucks is another strong team that is feeling the pressure because it is 1-5 under Doc Rivers. Against one of the most awful teams in the league, Bucks must be merciless. Additionally, this is the first home win of Doc Rivers.

Oladipo has faced a lot of struggle with injuries and that is one of the reasons why he was finally let go. I mean when he was young, even with some injuries, you would still take some risk with him because if he gets healed and comes back and plays well then he would worth every penny, but when you are talking about a player that is getting older now, and still dealing with a lot of injuries then it doesn't really look like anything that would mean something. That's the most important part and I feel like it would make sense to let him go.

Oladipo was amazing when he played, but the fact is that he didn't play much, go back and check his history and you will see that he didn't get as much time as he would like to, or teams would like to.

Yeah oladipo was promising out of college, thought he was a perfect fit for today's nba.  Athletic can get create his own shot, etc.  Shame injuries derail players.  In my time one of the worst having to see was Derrick rose.  As a knicks fan I hated the bulls because Jordan always blocked us from any success but I loved watching rose's game.  Dude was fearless going to the rack and just played at a different level than most everyone else.  Knee happened and that was it.  Shame but it happens.

Unfortunately, injuries are a part of the game, and there is no getting away from it because the schedule of games in the NBA is pretty tight, which means constant stress on the players' bodies. It's hard to even imagine how many careers of promising players have been ruined due to injuries in the entire history of the NBA.
As for Oladipo, I think he will be able to find a new team in the offseason.

Oladipo was amazing when he played, but the fact is that he didn't play much, go back and check his history and you will see that he didn't get as much time as he would like to, or teams would like to.
He will be known as one of the players who rejected a huge contract when he was in his prime.
He has the same fate as Isiah Thomas and Kemba Walker. Played well in their prime years with their respective teams then injuries ruined their career until they didn't ever make a comeback to the league anymore. Anyway, there will still be other leagues outside the US that they can play if they still want to play. I mean there are many ex-NBA players playing outside the league already so... Oladipo can go there as well "IF" he's healthy already.

Having Bogdanovich alone is a big win for the Knicks already knowing that they only traded some bench players, but adding Burks that is shooting close to 40% on the three-point area is a huge win for them. TBH, I'm considering them the winner right now over the Pacers who got Siakam.
Yep, that's pretty much my take on the situation, Knicks did a very good job in getting two excellent shooters in Bogdanovic and Burke without loosing any of ther starters and on top of that Bogdanovic deal expires next year which means they should have no problems trading him if they want. And as a Croiat and big fan of Bogdanovic I am happy that he finally left that God awful Pistons team as he deserves to be somewhere better and more competitive due his skillset.

At the moment Knicks have one of the deepest rosters and I could see them even reaching conference final.
One of the deepest rosters indeed, and right now, they still don't have their main center who is an effective paint defender as well in Mitchell Robinson.
As for both of them, it's good that they already left that awful team because they will have no future there, and knowing that they are in their 30s already, they are near their post-prime years. I would hate to say this, but if all of the players on the Knicks roster are healthy, I think they can beat the Celtics in the playoffs. Sixers? Bucks? They can win against them in 6 games for sure.

On the other hand, there's one player from the Pistons who requested a trade, and that is Killian Hayes, but instead of trading him, they just waived him because he's been a very awful player ever since he got drafted. I mean for a 7th pick, his stats are too low

Trade deadline has passed and I don't see any news about Lakers doing something about it. While they've lost against the Nuggets, I think that it is good that there's no trade for them.

Most of the fans have heard about D'Lo getting traded as the rumors weeks ago. But now, that the deadline is done then that only means so much for him but he also said that he don't want to focus on it.

Kyrie back to Nets, for real? I was surprised.
Russell played very well in the remaining days before the trade deadline and that might be the reason why the Lakers chose to let him stay instead of trading him.
Lebron wanted to win a title on the Lakers but TBH, the current roster of the Lakers isn't enough to be a playoff contender. I might be wrong though, but I just hope that they will not get swept again in the playoffs if they clinch.

As for Kyrie back to the Nets, I don't know if the Mavericks will like it. I mean the Nets don't have enough assets to attract the Mavericks. Maybe if they will include Mikal Bridges in the trade then it's possible, but aside from that, the Nets have nothing.

It seems that Nets is back being a mediocre team right ? This season is awful for them and players like Ben should not be in NBA in my opinion and also earning a tons of money. I think I can also safe say that Play-offs are gone for them and they should already rethink of next season and what can be done in summer to prevent another season like this.

And we can go back to the risk that they have taken a couple of seasons ago, Durant + Kyrie + Harden and then losing picks and players that might have done different if they just keep them. And so up to this season, they are paying for the big price. Yes, it's a risk, but this time, it didn't pay off as what the management has expecting. And then Ben Simmons drama still at the backdrop of the team for what two seasons already? So I guess that is a big burden for them to carry at this point. And I do agree, player like Simmons who are being paid in millions and not contributing, they should off load them. But I don't think that any teams right now are going to get him because of what had happen to him and the Sixers and now his career might be over.

I haven't heard Kyrie going to back to the Nets?

Lots of players are debuting to their new team, seen post from Kelly Olynyk. And I'm really surprised that his mom was part of the scoring crew by the Raptors before and his dad was a associate coach. And he is obviously Canadian, so this is a full circle for him to go back to Toronto and play.

Videos as well of Buddy Hield pre-game shooting. I think we will see his game more on the Sixers, and he will be a big help shooting that 3 as the Sixers needed as well a good defender like him. So it's a win win for him and the Sixers.
